I'm a EEE or EE width...previous comments indicated a 'roomy' toe-box, so, I took a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when a D width fit. I just wish the 'pinecone' Thompson style had the 'Montrose' sole or I would have purchased the Thompson. All in all, it looks and feels to be a well made and comfortable boot...let's see evidence over time. I gotta GO!l

Nice well made shoe-very good quality. But heavy and sort of clunky, if you want something stylish, yet still be in the chukkah style. Shoe was also too roomy for me and I am a 12.5 US with med. width.

This is one comfortable shoe. I have already walked all over town and run up countless stairs without any discomfort. And that was just in the first 24 hours of having them. I wear an 11 and my foot fits comfortably in the shoe yet there is excess room around my ankle which bothered me at first but not longer does. Just means you can wear heavier socks and still be comfortable.

These shoes feel great on my feet. They have excellent arch support and wide toe box so my toes can wiggle. These are wide enough to accommodate several different weight socks, so I can wear heavier socks in colder weather. Very happy to find these. I'm wish Zappos offered the lower version of this shoe in black too.

I continue to be pleased with the quality of Chaco shoes and sandals. The boot has a removable foot bed, which I like. The foot bed is comfy and has Chaco's expected arch support. I have one concern at this stage (less than ten wearings) as the style seems to be tight over the instep. This may relax as the boot is broken in. Typical sizing of length and width are accurate.

very comfortable around the ankle right out of the box due to the soft leather and light shoe weight. Shoe appears well-constructed with a better arch support insert for my flat feet than mos casual shoes or boots. Normally I wear a 12-B (narrow) width, this 12-D fits well which makes me think the Chukka runs a little narrow. Toe is also close to the end of the shoe with about a thumb width of wiggle room, My Chaco Outcross Evo 1 in a 12-D offers me more toe room however, so others considering the Chukka may wish to consider one size up in length. The Bone Brown is smart-looking. Shoe is not waterproof but a good coat of mink oil will take care of this issue

The arch is really high in this shoe. Its also heavy and feels clunky. Its very wide. They look cool though.

These look and felt good, but I missed point the eyelets are made of the same material as the laces. My thought was the two laces rubbing against one another would end up sawing through one of them. My luck, it'd be the eyelet.

Love these shoes out of the box, BUT...Lace eyelet design is terribly flawed and shoes fail before their time. The eyelets are made of the same material as the laces. They wear through well before the rest of the boot. Disappointing because a good product falls short of its potential.
