These are some seriously beautiful boots. I was initially hesitant to purchase them because of the price, but you get what you pay for when it comes to boots, and these are well-made, both inside and out. My usual problem is finding boots that fit my tiny ankles, but these are perfect. I ordered the 7.5 (I'm usually a 7 or 7.5 in most shoes) and the top of the boot is 15 1/2" in diameter, 14 3/4" at the fullest part of my calf, and 10 1/2" at the ankle. There is just enough room for me to get into this boot, and no baggy bits anywhere after you've zipped them up. If you want a sleek, tailored look, these are the boots for you. As for comfort, I found that there wasn't any arch support, so I popped in some Superfeet Delux Dress-fit 3/4 for High Heel inserts, and was good to go.

I am a 115 pound runner/yogi with a wider forefoot and narrow ankle. I wear a 7.5 and got a 7.5 and they fit perfectly in the foot area, but...the shaft was huge and they were a little sloppy. (not the look I was going for) I got the stone oiled suede and the color is gorgeous! If they were cheaper boots I would have kept them, but at this price point I want the shaft to fit well. I just don't think they look as expensive as they are. *I have a pair of aquatalia boots that fit PERFECTLY in the shaft and are so comfortable that I could probably run in them. I returned these boots and will order a pair of Aquatalia Breanna.

Love these boots. They have a narrow ankle and are made for a slimmer leg. They actually fit and are not loose and sloppy, very stylish.

This is exactly what I was looking for, a classic heeled boot that looks good with suits and dresses. I have never spent this much on a pair of boots, but the classic heeled is hard to come by these days because everything's flats, booties, or western. These are a comfortable version that fit like a glove and are incredibly flattering. I am 5'2" and the boot hits about an inch below my knee and is snug around my calf. It would probably not work for wide calves. The black suede is lovely, and the outer sole has a grip that will be nice in inclement weather.

beautiful boot sad to return it. perfect. I just need a shaft no higher than 14 inches. I hope Zappos will offer more with this size for petite frames!

These are cute and appear well made, but what I liked most is that they are one of the few pairs I have found that doesn't have a huge gap at the top. They fit nicely around my calves. The problem is they feel more narrow and long than most boots. I am between a 6.5 and 7, and usually order a 7 if I plan to wear socks. This 7 was much too long and the width felt too tight. I wanted to switch them out for a 6.5 wide, but that size was out of stock.

Beautiful boots! Suede is soft and supple - doesn't bag out at the ankle or top of boot so very flattering. Super comfortable right out of the box -typical for La Canadienne footwear. True to size.

Best boots on the planet! My feet have been spoiled by this brand. I own a lot of them. Super comfortable, no break in

These are GORGEOUS boots. Very classic and comfortable as well--not easy to find that combination in a heeled boot. I ordered a half-size up because I thought my foot might slide down because of the heel height and I wanted the extra toe room, but I really didn't need to, and kept them anyway. I love that these are waterproof. I have several pair of boots by La Canadienne and the quality of them is worth the price.

LOVE THESE BOOTS! They are comfortable, beautiful and waterproof - you can indeed walk through snow and rain in them and your feet stay warm and dry. Yes, they are expensive, but the quality of this boot is worth it.

The reviews on this boot were great. I am always looking for a pair of black boots that will last for a few years. I am so happy I splurged for these!!!!!! Many of the reviews said once they bought La Canadienne boots they will always buy them. I am a convert now.....

Oh my gosh I could sleep in these even though it’s 90 degrees outside. I’m super picky and didn’t expect to love them like I do. They feel like wearing velvet over my foot and whole leg just snug and comf. The toe isn’t too pointy or too round and the craftsmanship is feminine and stylish unlike some cheap ones I got a few years ago and wore once then gave away. There’s a tiny bit of slouch but not extreme just enough that says luxurious. My legs and calves are fairly thin usually boots are big and sloppy but these fit like a glove. Kind of like Stevie Nicks meets couture. PS my phone camera isn’t super accurate but wanted to post a little something.

Nice color. I’m 5’8” size 4, and the calves weren’t too wide. Yay!

I wish these worked out for me. I am normally a 7.5 in boots and the 7 fit perfectly. Only problem is the calves were too wide for my legs. I am 5’4 and about 105 so maybe too petite for them. I am bummed I have to send back. I have a pair of shorter boots in this same heel style and brand I have had for 11 years and I love them so much. They still look good. I love to wear in winter bc I have fussy feet sizing and Raynaud’s but want to still wear a heel sometimes for dressier work look in winter. Was hoping for the taller style. Maybe there is another taller La Canadienne out there with smaller calves.

These boots are really beautiful and comfortable but I'm on the fence whether to keep them or not. $600 is super pricey and I'm not sure I can't find something else similar and half the price.

Cute boot but wasn't the right fit for me. I have thin calves and it was too wide so I had to send them back.

It's a beautiful pair of boots but the calf is tight for me although I have average calves. I'd purchased another pair of La Canadienne and had the same problem. They might work better for super skinny girls. Love Zappos though.

Sadly it is way to narrow over my calf. My other pair of la canadienne are not like that. Bummer.

Wrong boots were sent. Original order was placed Nov 22, 2018. Received boots today (Dec 13, 2018) and they are the wrong boots. Not a pleasant experience.
