The fit and the size is great. The break-in period will KILL YOU! These are not buttery soft or even comfortable when you first put them on. This will be apparent as you attempt to walk in them. After an afternoon of walking-- there are two noticeable concerns-- 1. The dye transfer onto my feet 2. The blisters-- This is a shoe that needs a long long break in period-- Once they've been worn a few times you'll get the feel for them and they will become a cherished pair of sandals if you decide that your feet can tolerate the beating they will get when you put them on. In order to beat the break-in period-- it is my recommendation to first prepare the sandals with alcohol wipe down to get the excess dye off the shoe-- to avoid looking like you have gangrene on your feet. Then apply a good quality leather oil (Mink oil, saddle soap etc.) to the straps, and let sit for 24 hours-- reapply the oil again before wearing. This will remove some of the major stiffness in the leather of this shoe. This is a shoe that requires patience and a long break-in period-- this is not a cute shoe you throw on after you get it in the mail and go running around the city--or beach-- you'll be sorry!

They feel very commanding, everyone took notice with stares & smiles and/or compliments... I have very nice feet I keep up and my nails clean & trimmed myself, glad they came back b/c I missed them when I initially saw them... I know my right foot is a 1/4 of an inch longer than my left, so I always go smaller just to accommodate my left & my right foot barely fits a 12 but my left is fine

Material felt leathery, a little rigid but quality leather, fit was really awful .

The fit is narrow and short. Size 14 did not fit (too short).

Too small, and I ordered a size bigger!!
