Go up a size that normal, 10/12 fits more like 8/10. Overall a great jacket, very warm.

This is a great light weight winter coat. I bought the size small for my taller than average four year old. He is probably the height of a six year old. I would recommend sizing up. It’s very light but seems very warm so it’s going to be a great coat for my active boy who doesn’t like bulky coats. Zips up great and will pack away nicely into his backpack on warmer afternoons. I just wish there was a hood but overall we love it.

My almost 12yo loved the jacket. He prefers lightweight puffer jackets so this fit the bill, plus he loved the brand name. :) I first ordered based on the size he is currently wearing, but it fit perfectly-to-slightly-small. Being that winter is nearly over here in the northeast I reordered in a size larger - I would say this jacket runs slightly on the smaller side based on our experience. The larger size I ordered fits bigger than he'd like for now but I know he'll get at least another winter, if not two, out of it as he grows. Another great Zappos item!

My son wore this on a school field trip the other day. He said it was very warm, and not real bulky. He said it helped cut the wind as well. We did have to get one size up, in order for it to fit right.

My little boy loves this coat. It's North Face, so of course the quality is great and it's stylish. We got the Primary Green because it's his favorite color and it's really cute.
