I bought this for my daughter who is in college in excruciating weather conditioned Minnesota. She has made it through three winters this far with no complaints. Btw... Minnesota gets negative in temperatures. Thank you Columbia.

I was skeptical that something so thin and light could be as warm as I was told, but it really is! Took it to Yellowstone in January and (with a couple of layers under it) I wasn't cold. Had enough room in it that I could wear two base layers under it without it being too tight. I only wish the outside pockets were deeper - the zipper goes down almost as low as the bottom of the pocket and my gloves keep falling out if I don't zip them closed. There are inside pockets to put things in though.

Don't let the look fool you. She didn't believe the compact and thin look would make her warm enough. After she has tried, she told me she was surprised!

I love this jacket! Whether I wear it under my waterproof shell for biking, under my snow jacket for snowboarding or to cozy up after a surf session, I do not go anywhere with out it. It packs down small for travel too!

As I expect it, Columbia again deliver great product. It's light but warm, very good for spring, fall season.

Wife was looking for a low profile puffer in black and this has been a great jacket. The hood is nice, jacket is extremely packable, perfect for traveling and hiking in the oddly warm Montana weather we got while we were there. The only issue is that she probably could have done with the XS as the S is just a little loose all around. I have the same issue with my Mountain Hardware puffer I got, usually a large and could have gotten away with a medium myself.

After a few washes the zipper fell off, it's a shame because I liked it so much. The same happened to the vest. You should review the quality of the zippers you put on the products.

Not warm enough for Michigan winters.

I was too cold in this coat living in my northern, midwest climate. I bought another thick, down coat out of frustration that I was freezing whenever I went outside. It looks good, but don't buy if you live anywhere truly cold in the winter. Otherwise, it's a great looking coat and I wear it when the temps are closer to 40 degrees F outside.
