Love the thing. They fit great and did awesome when I was trekkin theough the woods. Thought the green woul be to bright but I is not. Got em muddy and the color isn't faded. It's a good sturdy shoe.

My wife ordered these and a couple other brands to try. These were by far the best fit for me 15W. Waterproof and comfortable. Iwanted low cut and these are perfect. Good looking too.

As a federal employee in natural resources, I spend much of my time in the field. As a shoe, this is excellent, especially in wetter areas. I was a little apprehensive since the top isn't very tall, but standing and walking in waist deep growth this week, I have no complaints. My feet were dry and comfortable. The laces initially seemed a bit flimsy, but are just as tough as those of thicker composition. If you're looking for a shoe that performs like a hiking boot, look no further.

I purchased this shoe as a compliment to my preferred light weight, soft-sole running shoes. I selected this as a winter-weather shoe for its waterproof quality, for warmth, and for stability when running on winter trails and non-shoveled sidewalks. This waterproof multi-purpose shoe met my every expectation in that regard. ONLY NEGATIVE, is after 4 months use in first winter, the upper shoe split-out just above my small toe, under the lower edge of the laces. The tread seems like it will last a least another winter if not two, but upper couldn't quite make it through first winter.

Wore them through a trip to Ireland and they were fantastic. Light and comfortable and good support.

This is my third pair of shoes with the Outdry technology. I've noticed that the tread on the soles wears a bit faster than I hoped. I've used them on trails, beaches, and mud an I've been happy with them. This is a solid shoe for light adventures (something not requiring a heavy pack).

I love this show. I wear a nine wide . I wish this shoe was a little wider but it is still comfortable.

Got this shoe for dad. He likes hiking shoes because the tread lasts longer. He loves how they feel. The are supportive and light.

I've had some trouble with the quality of Columbia shoes over the past year and have sent back 3 pairs for various reasons. My first pair of Trailhawks were great. Super comfortable and allowed me freedom to hike in a variety of terrains. Wore them throughout our tour of Iceland and Scandinavia last summer but unfortunately the two part sole began to separate after about 2 months of use. Flash forward to my new Peakfreaks and so far, so good. They are very comforatble and are true to size. They are a little lighter than either the Trailhawk or Grand Canyon so we'll have to see how durable they are. I've also been accustomed to wearing a heavier shoe which is causing me to walk a little differently...I can't really explain that any better unless you wear them yourself. I'm enjoying them so....So far, so good!

Comfortable and I believe very functional shoes. Can't wait for summer and give them a real test.

I have a narrow, low volume, neutral arch foot. Never had a chance to wear these on the trails. Too big for my foot. Size 13. I normally take a 13. Kinda felt like my foot was floating in it. Heel slippage wearing a Darn Tough sock and the toe box had a lot of slack on top where I could easily pinch the excess and keep it pinched between my fingers. My first impression is the style is nice (I ordered the blue), sole is good, lacing is good. Definitely a lightweight shoe. The exterior is a mesh material, unsure how it would stand up to trail wear & tear in the long run. Toe box for my foot had plenty of wiggle room. My toes were not squished. I cannot comment on the waterproofing because they never made it to the trails. The arch support seemed fine for my neutral requirement. I'm returning them. I bought these because I called Columbia for a product referral. The rep told me the PeakFreak is more or less the same shoe as the Columbia Redmond, just a different exterior style. She was off her mark because these are not equivalent to the Redmond in terms of fit. PeakFreak I'd say is better for a normal volume, maybe wide(ish) foot. Redmond is more in-tune with a narrow foot.

i purchased these shoes to replace the best shoes i had ever worn. I thought these would be similar, but the insole was of a very poor quality. My toes hurt every day after wearing them. I purchased some insoles and they have been a good fit. I would recommend Columbia investing in a better insole for these shoes.

I sure hope the Montrail designers and engineers win over the Peakfreak variety. I'm not impressed with this shoe. It runs a little big in a 14, it's boxy in the toe and I don't think there's great support in the shoe. The Mountain Masochist is my standard of shoe excellence, which is why I hope Montrail wins.

The sole separated after one month of wear. The waterproofing did not work well either. Do not recommend.

Only had the shoes for about a month and the soles have already come apart. I would not recommend these.

Very cheaply made shoe with minimal side support - really like wearing a slipper. Also way too wide. Compare to the Merrell Moab 2 gtx to see how poorly this shoe is made.
