For a waterproof snow boot this is fairly sleek and attractive. The shaft is enormous (eww, sorry), so if you have wide calves or ankles, you will not have any trouble fitting into these. The one odd thing is I feel like the heel is slightly lower than the foot since the sole is so chunky, but it shouldn't be a problem. I usually wear size 8.5-9 and 8-8.5 in sandals, and the 9 in these boots was too big for me.

INAUGURATION BOOTS! Bought these for the Inauguration because I knew I would need to keep my feet warm. They were great and comfortable! We walked a total of 9 miles that day.

I bought these boots last year after we purchased a beautiful puppy....I needed something warm for late night puppy outings and these were perfect fit. I am usually a 4M and the 5M fit perfectly with wool socks. I love the slip on feature and they look much sleeker than the Sorel Joan of Arc and the Tivoli which are clunky and heavy. These are warm and cushy soles are easy to walk in. I play with my dog at the dog park for many hours every day and these never disappoint...even in the rain and snow!

Great boots. Comfortable, easy on/off, warm, waterproof. Maybe not supremely attractive but hey, if you need to walk your dog in the snow or mud at odd hours--nothing beats those. Superbly comfortable. True to size, enough room for a warm sock. Highly reccomend.

Love the boots,very comfortable. The pads inside wore out quickly so I bought new ones at the store and replaced them

These will be great snow boots. They are not flexible, however, and the sole feels very hard after walking for a while, thus 4 stars instead of 5.

First of all thank you to Zappos for getting these to me in under 24 hours and saving my feet from freezing. Unfortunately I had the opportunity to test them out at -39F degrees, my feet stayed warm for as long as I needed to be out. Another thing I like is that they are not too heavy for this type of boot.

I tried 7 different brands of boots and this felt the best - so happy with the purchase. This is my first winter in them and with 3' of snow and temps below zero I've worn them up to 7 hours without issue. I do wear a wool sock with these however that's it. The arch support isn't bad for this style of boot and while I generally need very solid arch support these have enough for extended wear. Warm, tough, resistant, and comfortable - hard to beat that combo. So far they have been in mud, snow, water, freezing temps, etc. and have been rock solid. Easy off and on - I love pull on boots. Only thing different is mine have a true waffle style "Vibram" style sole which provides great grip. I wear a men's 11 and have fairly narrow feet and these have been true to size for me. My 18 year old La Sportiva's have sadly been sitting idle since these arrive - lacing up and down multiple times a day just doesn't compare to the function and fit of these boots...

I normally wear a size 7 1/2 and have narrow feet, however I ordered these in a size 8 because I usually have to order boots a little larger. While they fit, I probably could have stayed true to size and ordered a 7 1/2. They are very warm!

I was very pleased by the stylish appearance and obvious quality of this boot, which would be ideal for snow. However, had to return these because way too wide even with heavy socks. Knew that was possible because of previous reviews & because my own feet are narrow, but took the chance of ordering because they seemed to be exactly what I'm seeking. Have usually been fine with a boot that is not narrow, but my heels slipped up at back & heels also slipped side to side in these even though length was perfect. Decided I'd likely trip & fall due to heels slipping around inside the heavy boots while walking.

I was wanting a great pair of winter boots that I could wear to go shopping, run errands AND take the dogs for walks or play in the yard with them. I know, a tall order! I kept looking at Sorels, but they all looked so clunky. I liked that these were slip ones so gave them a try, as they were on sale. Just returned from a day of shopping (wet, sloppy parking lots full of snow) and lunch out. These boots ROCKED. Comfy, waterproof and warm on a cold day. But didnt feel clunky - sleek and stylish. I tucked into skinny jeans and wore with a sweater, scarf and coat. I felt stylish and comfy. GREAT purchase. I am usually a 9.5 in boots. I bought these in a 10 as I know Columbia’s run a bit small - great fit with a cozy sock. Heels slip a bit, but they are supposed to with boots. Very happy with this purchase!

These boots kept my feet completely warm and dry at a rainy/snowy outdoor event in Ohio in February. They were veryconfortble, as well! As for the fit, some reviews say they run true to size, some say they run narrow and sime say they run wide. I can explain. The 8.5 fit well but the heel was a bit loose. Also, the shaft is quite wide, as others have mentioned. Overall, a very good quality boot!!

This boot performs as it should! The reviews were true, order a half size larger. The heat/insulation is not quite what I expected.. I have to use a foot warmer on a really cold day. I can get thru snow, slush, and a wet muddy day is no match for these boots! My feet stay dry and that's why I needed a new pair. I returned a few others but I'm sticking with these. I deliver packages for a well known company. :) So I get a feel for all the elements.

Look like futuristic fireman boots but, dang, they work! Truly excellent construction. Completely worth the money. Kept me toasty in frigid puddles. Best parts are the grippy and springy soles! Sleeker than you might expect. Suggest you order true size and wear with thin socks.

I ordered the Columbia Snowpow Tall ahead of winter so I haven't worn them out yet. I tried them on and agree with many other reviews that they run slightly large and will accommodate heavy socks. They feel like they will be quite warm but this winter will be the test. I also think I will like the stretch material around the top to help stay dry and warm. The low profile styling is an attractive but plain look that will be versatile.
