When I saw someone in the SFO airport with this Timbuk2 backpack, I knew I had to find one for my daughter. She had been looking for a backpack that would hold her artpads and computer but still be comfortable and stylish. I bought one for her and took it back to Virginia where she goes to colllege. This is perfect for her and she loves it!

I bought this (my third Timbuk2 product!) after reading a couple reviews that really spoke to me about what I was looking for in a backpack - something classy and convenient for my work and travel. I just took this bag on it's first trip from New Hampshire to New York City and Maryland, and it does not disappoint. It's so well-thought out, just the right amount of space for my laptop and musical scores (fits up to 11*17 - rare!), pens and pencils, travel documents, chargers, and more. Classy enough to wear and bring to a lunch meeting, SOHO show, and evening out, as well as daily work and rehearsals.

I used this backpack on trip to Germany & Denmark, running through the Frankfurt airport on one occasion. It easily held my 15" MacBook Pro, my Canon DSLR camera, chargers, a back up drive, snacks, makeup, a bottle of water, a book, a LEGO set, wallet, iPhone & converters for electronics. I am a fit, 50 year-old woman and found the distribution of weight in the pack in relation to the positioning of the straps to be perfect. The handle on top is durable & useful for navigating security lines & putting the pack in overhead bins. It did fit just fine under the seat in front of me on the plane, but didn't leave much room for my feet then, as I'm tall. I love the leather bottom which helps it stand up if I set it down. The straps with the their metal hardware were super easy to open & close, but remained closed & secure even while on the run. This pack is an excellent investment which has great style too. I didn't feel like a 50 year-old carrying around a college backpack. I highly recommend it!

I needed a new bag and wanted something straight forward but a little different. The pleasant surprise has been how dang comfortable it is to wear... great product and experience so far.

I bought this bag on recommendation from a customer service rep. I needed something to carry 11x17 musical scores. This bag fits scores and my laptop. Plus it looks great.

I was worroed about it s ability to take a 16.5" Dell Laptop (since it only states 15") and a couple of lunchbot containers as well as other work stuff. It does and works well. It obvious looks good, but added bonus is that it stands up when you put it on the ground when loaded (that is, it doesn't flop over)

I have been using the bag for college for the last couple of months, i have been extremely happy with it. It has a big main storage area, and i've been using it for food and other things, not directly connected to school. In the computer area i have no problem storing both my 15'' Macbook Pro and my 12.9'' iPad pro. The side pocked i use for my 600 ml water bottle and it fits really nicely. I've been using it since early August and it looks really good. One thing that i like a lot is the fact that the straps are really comfortable, they are really soft and feel great on your shoulders.

Backpack color and style allows formal work and informal personal use. Innovative mix of waxed material and leathers renders this like waterproof almost. Classic narrow box shape and backpack seems to get better with time and received so many positive comments about the backpack....not one negative.

I've had this bag for a month and so far, so good. I'm a lawyer and I needed something between a briefcase and a junky backpack. So this bag is stylish enough to meet up with other professionals and not look like a shlub. The front leather strap fasteners are simple yet effective. I've also found that the internal compartments are useful for storing relevant items. I would not buy this backpack for bicycle commuting, or if you need to absolutely stuff your bag. There are other bags for those purposes. But for my purposes, this backpack is a winner.

Wanted a new backpack for my new 15" MBP and this bag is perfect. Laptop fits well and still plenty of room for ipad, folders, cords, etc. Great looking and so far seems very rugged with great workmanship!

I was looking for a stylish practical bag made with quality materials. I have a couple of expensive thick leather bags that, while beautiful, are just too heavy for daily use. I went though the rounds of messenger bags, but needed something comfortable to wear for long periods occasionally so I started leaning toward the classic backpack. I wanted to avoid looking like a student however... Then I saw this Walker bag. It's a perfect combination of waxed canvas and leather. All the stress points are riveted. The straps have an unusual and ingenious method of securing without snaps or buckles. Rather, it's a simple leather flap that naturally catches on the bar. Simple and beautiful. The only ding I'd give it, is the lack of padding for the laptop compartment. But I'm not incredibly rough with my things, so it's not a huge deal. Overall, it's a beautiful bag using high quality materials put together with care and thoughtfulness. It's light on padding, so if you're rough with your bags, or tend to toss them around with electronics inside, maybe it's not for you. But for everyone else, this bag is a keeper.

This is seriously the best laptop bag I've ever owned. It's comfortable when packed with my 15" Macbook Pro. The materials feel solid, like they will last ten years and get even better with age, and at the price point you really are making a ten year investment with this backpack. The look is clean, but also understated and not flashy. The canvas seems to be showing from dirt, being set down during commute, etc, but I think I could scrub it off without much effort. The pack has some genius touches - my favorite I think are the unique buckling system, and also the magnets that helps the mouth of the bag stay tucked in underneath the flaps. It took my a while to even notice they were there, they did their job so subtly, but can attest that when in use this pack is absolutely weatherproof (have used it in heavy rain). Don't think I'll be buying another laptop bag for myself for quite a while, though may be getting some in the future as gifts.

I've been coveting this pack for a while. was going to get the 2014 version but was swayed by the small tweaks in the new. So far, I really like this pack. Classic example of "a place for everything, and everything in its place." My only concerns are: 1-the laptop pocket doesn't seem very padded, though this is less of a concern if you put your lappie in a sleeve. still, with a sleeve, my 13-inch dell fits to the exact dimensions, so don't look to carry anything much bigger. likewise, i wish the back had more of a foam/mesh padding. not that it's uncomfortable, but it's not high-end comfort and i worry about how perspiration will discolor the back panel over a long, hot summer. some may not care. it's all about bag wear and how much you like/dislike such signs of use. 2. i really like the leather accents, but this pack relies on leather, as a connection for the straps to the top of the pack, and as fasteners in front. just means there's a certain commitment on the owner's part to occasionally clean and condition the leather to keep it supple and resilient. in any case, i appreciate the lifetime warranty, just in case. in all, a very happy customer. my favorite pack yet, and i have other timbuk2 packs, tom bihn, tad, maxpedition, goruck and killspencer. this compares favorably to all, and i trust this company to make a product with lasting value and appeal.

I use this bag to carry my laptop and some small electronic devices. The design is great but the function is not. Buckles on the flap straps broke of after less than 10 months of every other day use. I never have to much weight in the bag or over stuff the bag. The bag looks great and has many pockets and the color is elegant. I just didn't expect a bag in this price range to fall apart less than one year from purchase date. I was hoping it would last a lot longer than it did. I dont know how to even repair such a fail of the product???

I had a lot of bags from TIMBUK2 and normally I love them, but this I didn't like it. It is really heavy and I am a small girl so it is difficult to carry. Also the bag is not soft, so it doesn't adjust to the bag as other bags from TIMBUK2 do. I have not use as it is really uncomfortable. Can believe this is from TIMBUK2 when normally bags are incredible!

If you like to carry more than a laptop or a couple small things in your backpack, this is not the bag for you. I bike to work and need to carry an extra set of clothes, my lunch, and a computer, and it doesn't fit well at all. The snaps come open frequently, and the pockets are poorly designed. The small zipper pocket on the front is made of an extremely zipper that has cut my hands multiple times, and does so especially when the rest of the bag is full. I like to carry more than one water bottle with me, and this only has one poorly shaped pocket on the side. The backpack also won't sit straight on my bag, even when I adjust the straps. I would not recommend this pack to anyone, and have no idea how Timbuk2 can justify the hefty price tag for something so poorly designed.

.I AM OFFICIALLY LOWERING MY RATING ON THIS PACK. YOU KIND OF EXPECT TIMBUK2 PRODUCTS TO BE DURABLE AND PROTECTIVE. NOPE. MY LAPTOP, IN A WELL CUSHIONED SLEEVE AND IN THE TIMBUK2 LAPTOP POCKET, STILL GOT DAMAGED WHEN THE PACK WAS SET DOWN JUST A LITTLE TWO HARD ON A CARPTED FLOOR. BECAUSE THERE IS NO DISCERNIBLE PADDING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LAPTOP POCKET. ZERO. SO THEY SAVE 50 CENTS IN FOAM INSERTS, AND COST YOU A PRISTINE LAPPIE. NOT COOL, TIMBUK2, NOT COOL.
