Beautiful socks - but too small!
Sure wish you'd carry the XL size!

The most comfortable socks ever! While wearing them I feel like my feet are being massaged all day long. I don't want to take them off. No matter what the season is, they are very comfortable.

The cushion does not work with my dress shoes but fine with casual shoes.

Good sock. More of a weekender than work sock.

We've worn this brand for years. They do last for a long time. Although I went by the size charts, and they're supposed to be dryer safe, I wish I'd gotten the xtra lg.

These are exactly the quality you expect from Smartwool... However they do not mention the merino wool in the packaging. Is it just normal wool or merino wool which is not just as processed. They did not feel like the normal soft selves of Smartwool.

I have skinny feet and always buy the medium cushion socks. These seem noticeably thinner that the last ones I bought.

I have a tough time keeping my feet warm in the winter- cotton socks don't do it, most wool socks are thick and first cause my feet to sweat, then they get cold. But these Smartwool socks seem just about right- the warmth of wool, without overdoing it. And they look great. Only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that I haven't had them long enough to know how durable/long-lasting they are- though the do seem very well made so I'm hoping they will last a long time.

I love everything about the sock except that the ankle is quite snug, and I do not have thick ankles.

The design is nice but they are thicker and warmer than I expected. I've had other Smartwool socks that are lighter weight and work better for me.

I've worn Smartwool socks for years and love them. REALLY concerned about the sizing though. Bought women's large and they are barely large enough. Will have to wash in cold water and hope they don't shrink. Probably should have sent back. Will buy men's next time.

All Smartwool items are quality clothing products. These are no exception. However, I'm disappointed that they are not knee socks as they seem to be in their photo image. Returning tomorrow.

I have an 8.5 foot size and opted for the smaller version in my purchases. I now wish I had secured the larger size so my recommendation is to size up if you are on the size cusp. Also, I wish they were as thick as the first pair of plain socks I had purchased at The NorthFace store. Despite these issues, they are still my favorite socks.

One of my main gripes is my own fault: the lack of "padding" on the upper part of the foot really makes a difference in how warm the socks are...so keep that in mind. Had I known this, I wouldn't have bought them. I don't really mind this on dressier looking pairs, but these are pretty hearty looking, so I'm going more for warmth.
My other gripe is something that Smartwool should address: the socks launder poorly. I wash them in cold, inside of a lingerie bag, and then lay flat to dry and the amount of lint that is created and the pilling of fibers indicates that this sock is mostly likely not made from longer, higher quality fibers: which means it won't wear as well, or as long as socks made from longer fibers, and will pill in the process.

Hey Smartwool- women don't all want to wear purple and pink. Love this sock for comfort, but it's hard to find a women's sock in this or the Jovians that doesn't contain one or the other or a hideous bright blue. I had to go to the men's section to get the colors I wear- orange, brown and kelly green. Also, could you work on reinforcing the heel? I always get holes there first. Thanks!

This is my 1st Smartwool experience. Never used them b4. I really had high expectations thinking it would be comparable to farm to feet and darn tough. I Thought these socks would be medium weight thickness everywhere, not just the bottom. They should be sold as "targeted medium weight". The size large felt like a medium as it was way too small on my foot. I bought these saturn sphere socks thinking that they were 100% made in America, with USA wool, nylon & Lycra. They charge the same price as other sock makers that use all 100% USA wool, nylon & Lycra. These are 100% imported material. Seems like they are cutting corners everywhere... but hey, at least the colors are cool. Prefer farm to feet, darn tough & even redhead bass pro lifetime wool socks to these. Now I believe all those old school customers' negative reviews I read b4 buying.

I was a huge fan of the old off-white ultra light hiking crew socks which, unfortunately, were discontinued. They were exceptionally soft and comfortable inside. I thought I'd give these a try, but the inside is a large terry- like material which is very irritating to my sensitive feet. I had to give these away.

I love my smart wool socks. I own between 20 to 25 pair of them. In fact, I have gotten rid of all the other brand of socks that I had owned. In the last year, I have had one pair fray at the top and this pair split in the toe seam on both socks. For the price of these socks, I expect them to last more than 2 or 3 wearing's before I notice flaws in them.
