The fabric was soft and the snaps and zipper seemed well made. However the cut of the legs were wide, perhaps to accommodate for the roll up feature. I prefer a fitted short with narrow leg openings.

I love these and purchased a second pair. Are they the most flattering short out there? Maybe not. But I wear clothes for comfort, quality, and utility. These are perfect for our Gulf Coast summers. Lightweight, easy fit, extremely comfortable and well made. I returned the "Granite Bluff Heather" pair for a second pair of Sedona Sage" because the light fabric was just a tad too sheer. With dark underwear, they'd have revealed more than I'd like. To each her own. *If* they ever wear out, I'd definitely buy again. Honestly, I like the look. Rolled up, they flatter my legs. YMMV.

I generally hate shorts so when I have to buy them, I search high and low for the ones that will flatter my fuller hips and thighs. These were almost perfect but the back is unflattering due to the small pockets and their placement. If North Face is listening, you may want to tweak this.

I purchased these shorts and a pair of pants after they were returned to our store from an internet purchase. I could not believe the quality of the product. It was not like any other North Face product I had ever seen. I wore those shorts the first day and became absolutely addicted! The pants feel the same way. I wear nice shorts to my job on a daily basis during the summer. I typically wear very high end products, I am picky about how they hang as well as being comfortable and I want a bit of stretch. These meet all my requirements and more! To add to their perfection, they fit perfectly, Most often I need to wear a belt or a lot of shorts come with waist draw strings. They are absolutely not needed with these shorts. They fit as if they were custom made. I wish they came in more colors. It looks like I wear the same pants every day! But too bad, these are the best made and comfortable shorts I have ever seen. I have gotten a few other people addicted as well! Please keep up the great work North Face. You have come a million miles in my book!

This is my 2nd pair of Horizon roll up shorts and I love them! They are perfect for the hot Ohio summers and go great with a hoodie when the fall hits and starts to cool off. I wear them everywhere on errands, to kids swim meets and walking the dog.

Live in these shorts. Cute and functional! Waist ties are necessary for size adjustments, but they also get in the way.

These shorts are so comfortable and stylish at the same time. I bought them in several colors and love them. They are the perfect length and fit for me.

This is the best materail for humid weather. IT doesnt stick or feel too heavy. It breathes and wick away. A must have!

I love these shorts! Yes, they run large, but once you find the size that works for you, they are wonderful. The material is soft, not heavy and stretchy(without losing shape). Perfect for active and not so active times.They are my go to short. I believe I have them in every color.

I really like these shorts. They are plenty long, which I like, but have the option of rolling up with the button tab. Light weight, good deep pockets, button, zipper and drawstring for perfect waist fit.

I really like these shorts. I am only 5"4, unrolled they are kind of long, but I like them that way. I am going to order them in another color. I got the shorts for a trip and ended up wearing them the whole time and didn't even bother with the others I had packed. I was between sizes and orded up as they have a drawstring in addition to the snap and zipper. Nice deep pockets. Super light weight and dry easily.

The fit and comfort and style are perfect for me. I love North Face clothes because they last and look great for years!!

I like the longer length for the short. It will be great for hiking and biking in the mountains this summer. Any casual activities like ball games, going to a winery, shopping, etc. will be appropriate for these shorts.

I like the fact that the fabric "breathes". The shorts keep me cool when kayaking in very hot weather and they dry quickly when they get wet. I like them so much that I went ahead and bought a second pair.

The shorts are super cute and comfortable. Love all the pocket features and the option to roll up for a different look. The longer length is wonderful. Please make in navy and black.

Use for casual every day wear or with any outdoor activity.

I'm going to use them throughout the summer for casual dress and for hiking on vacation. I especially like the longer length!

Really like the shorts. The style and fit. Only bad thing is when you roll them or cuff them up, they do not stay in place very well.
