After trying numerous boots I finally hit the jackpot! These are the most comfortable boots I've ever had. If you're looking for dressy or sexy these aren't it...but if you want just a great overall casual boot, these are it! I bought the black and brown. I have an above average calf size. At first I bought the wide calf boot but it was way too generous. This regular boot has enough stretch in it to accommodate with jeans.

I had two concerns the first few times I wore my Blondo Vassa Waterproof boots. When I went into a store, the soles of the boots squeaked as I walked; and my other concern was that the zipper on my right boot seemed to rub my ankle. After wearing the boots a couple more times, the squeaking seems to have stopped, and the boots have conformed to my legs and feet, and now are soooo comfortable! They keep my feet dry and snuggy warm! To top that off, they are very stylish, and I love them!

I've been looking for a waterproof black riding boot, something very classic and with no foofoo extras. This boot was very tight, even in a wide, and I'm pretty skinny. I even went up a size and it was still extremely tight. There's no way I could fit tights or jeans into the top of these boots. And they are very stiff. In the end, I went with a boot twice the price from La Canadienne, which had much, much softer leather and a more comfortable footbed.

The boot I've been searching for! A great mix of style, durability, and functionality. I was nervous about the calf size, my calves and very narrow and I usually have a hard time finding boots that fit well. I went with the M calf and it fits perfect! The leather isn't stiff, and cleans up really well with water. The sole is great on slippery surfaces. My only complaint is that the zippers make a lot of noise when I walk, which was easy for me to get over.

These boots are everything I ever wanted. I typically wear a size 12, but ordered these in a size 11 and they fit just right. I have a narrow foot and calf and always have trouble finding boots that don't look floppy around my calf. These boots are fitted through the ankle and calf and my feet don't slide around at all. They look great with jeans. If you have wider calves, this may not be the boot for you.

Truly waterproof, seam sealed, snow and salt just slid off. Great for leaping snowdrifts in a single bound. To live in upstate NY is to expect morning dew requiring waterproof hikers, snowmelt, ice. Good traction with boots, surprised heel height was sound and steady. Had ankle and foot sprain and was concerned it would make ankle turn, but it holds steady and I feel, as it says on the box under waterproof, "impermeable." What a boot! Also, can adjust heel area with strap, nearly eliminating rub on my narrow R heel.

Beautiful boot. Wonderful quality and comfortable, but wanted a little wider to be able to wear with skinny jeans and skirts. I have a high arch and these had great support.

These are my favorite boots of ALL time. Literally, the only pair of boots that I have ever been so happy with. I am a size 11, flat foot but not technically a size wide. These boots are so incredibly comfortable. I got through an entire Fall, Winter, and Spring of daily commuting in New York City in these boots. I can wear them all day long without a problem. Though of course, after 8-10 hours of wearing the same pair of shoes all day, your feet naturally get tired! But these honestly feel incredible and they look fantastic with every single outfit. I primarily wear skirts and dresses, and these boots look great due to the fact that they fit snugly around the calf. I previously owned a pair of the wide calf version of these boots, and the tighter fit around the calf looks far more elegant with my preferred way of dressing. I should say, as a size 11, I believe they fit true to size, but I would not ever be able to wear very thick socks with these boots. You can wear normal socks, but probably not thick socks. They are quite warm in the snow, though, so it's not much of a problem! Dear Zappos, I REALLY need you to bring these shoes back in black please - I need to repurchase for the upcoming snow season!

Ladies! Thanks to your reviews I finally found my perfect black boot! I have been sending and receiving Zappos boxes to and from my home all winter it seems trying to find a simple, sleek and comfy black boot to dress up or wear casual. This it it! I have a sometimes difficult time finding a comfortable foot bed for my wide, size 10 foot and larger than average size calf. These boots were comfortable from the moment I put them on on and I wore them all day! Even my hip teenage daughter said they look great on my foot and leg. Thanks for the help and thanks especially to Zappos for the excellent service!

I have a long foot but narrow ankle and calf. These fit me just beautifully! I love that I can wear these in inclement weather and not get wet and gives me good stability but looks dressy enough, too. The arch is so comfortable. I wondered if they would be worth the price but YES they are!!

These are honestly my favorite boots. I'm on to my second pair of these. Although my first pair seemed to have a lot of room in the calf compared to these, I love the more fitted shaft on these - gives the boots a sleeker look. I'm a size 11 and I experienced no problems with these. Blondo is brilliant. 5 stars.

Love these boots! They look great and are very warm and comfy. A little snug mid-calf but not enough to be uncomfortable.

This is a very attractive boot. I haven't had a chance to see if the "waterproof" leather upper actually is waterproof, but it looks to be good quality. It's not the most comfortable boot. It definitely runs a little on the small and narrow side. It stretches out a bit with wear. The sole does not offer much cushioning. Still, it's cute and with a little stretching out is not bad for walking around in.

The boot fit my foot nicely and was not too wide nor too short. It fit true to size. HOWEVER the boot itself was tight around the calves. I had to return as I would not have been able to wear with jeans or even leggings. Cute boot but you would need to have very small legs for it to fit

Wasn't crazy about how these fit, stiff and not comfortable. Pretty boot though.

I loved the way these boots hugged my calves (no gapping), but the 7-1/2 medium width was a tad too narrow. Have to return them.

I really wish this boot was a true wide, but both the boot and shaft were narrow. The boot is beautifully made and with a soft cushioned inside.

I wear a 10.5W (my foot is wide around my toes) and thus I tried this boot in both 10W and 11W. I think the boot runs both a bit long and narrow. The wide is not very wide, particularly with socks on. I kept the 10W because I usually wear boots with tights and I think they'll stretch a little. They are reasonably sleek for being waterproof and having a good sole for bad weather.

Really nice-looking boots with a comfy feel for my 10W flat feet. My bad, I ordered an 11 but not reordering because the shaft was a bit snug and the lining did nothing to keep my feet warm.

These are quality boots in every way! But, sadly, I have to return them. I need a wide width and was happy that these shoes provide that selection, however, the toe box is too narrow. I do wish that designers would create a rounder toe box so that toes can maintain their natural form rather than being forced into an arrow shape.

It was fine but I preferred the David Tate boots.

Cute boots. But I could only zip them part way up, even though my calf matches the measurement of this boot at the top: about 16.5 inches in size 11. I may try the wide calf version.

Not wide enough so I'm trying them wider.
