Great lightweight approach shoes with excellent traction (my main worry) and a close, but not tight, fit. I purchased a size 37, with a regular street shoe size of 6 or 6.5 and a climbing shoe size of 36 or 36.5. These were a good fit for me, though the ankle feels a bit low. Could have been my socks though.
On my first day wearing these, I promptly walked through a river on some slippery rocks and made it across fairly easily.
I think they'll be great for scrambling and they fit me well, so I'm excited to continue wearing them on our climbing/exploring trips.

I was looking for the holy grail trail running shoe in Hawaii, where it's notoriously difficult to find the right shoe for wet rocks, mud, scree, and lava, all crammed into one trail. Lots of people head straight for the trail spikes, but they cause erosion and I'd like to avoid damaging trails as much as possible. Stability/stick on wet rocks is the most important thing to me, and although my previous Vasque water shoes were absolutely perfect in this regard they just don't provide enough support and I wind up with sore feet. So I ordered these.
First of all, order a whole size larger than normal if you're not using these for climbing. They are snug! I also had to endure some painful break-in lessons as they molded to my feet, so have the moleskin handy just in case. It's been dry here since I got them, and I can say that they're excellent for gripping on dry rocks, a bit slippery on scree/rubble, but it wasn't until today when it really rained that I had the chance to test them in wet conditions. The grip on wet rocks was solid, 10/10, so I was really happy with that. Mud was another story, especially the rock and clay mud we have here - I didn't slip all over, but I had more than a few close calls coming down the trail. They get a mud score of 3 or 4/10. Mind you, I was hiking down a narrow ridge trail in a downpour, so these were the worst possible conditions. But if you're like me, staying stuck to slick rocks is way way more important than being stable in mud, and these shoes are really impressive in that regard. Maybe still not my unicorn shoe, but awfully close, so I recommend giving them a try if you can find the right size!

Great approach shoes! Get you up to a climb and also my choice for hiking. Perfect for a day hike and even backpacking unless you require ankle support. The style is super cute. The soles are durable. Highly recommend these.

There is a part of the right foot where the tongue of the shoe presses painfully on a toe. I wish they had felt better.

Dope color and style. True fit!! Light, breathable, low profile, and great traction. Feels like an approach/climbing shoe. Excelent for spring to fall. The best future is it has elastic to compact them together and hang on your harness while you climb multi pitches. Brilliant idea!!!

Prior to having the TX2's, I was using hiking boots to take on burly trails and climbing approaches. I slipped and tripped on everything. Now that I have the TX2's, I'm able to trust that the rubber will grip even the slickest terrain. I don't worry about slipping or tripping anymore. I love the cord on the bottom and back of the shoes, allowing for easy storage on my harness for long multi-pitch routes. These are stylish, lightweight, and comfortable.

I tend to prefer a low profile approach shoe and these seemed to fit the bill. I consistently wear a size 7 and bought a 38. They felt tight at first and I almost exchanged for a half size bigger but stuck with them - I'm glad I did. It took 3 or 4 walks to break them in and now they might as well be the only pair of shoes I own. I've had pain in my right foot for the past 5 years because of tight calves. It would get aggravated just standing for 30 minutes or hiking/walking a mile. With these on my feet I can go all day and have ZERO pain!
I finally got to wear them for the intended purpose for the first time yesterday. They felt secure on the rocky approach to/from the crag and gave me just the right amount of confidence to get around on some class 4 terrain. They were easy to slip on and off and so light on my harness I forgot they were there. I hope these shoes never go away!

I absolutely love this shoe. The main thing I love about it, is how lightweight it is. This makes it the perfect shoe for taking climbing with me on multipitches that I need to walk off of (ie. The Chief in Squamish). I also love it for short approaches and going bouldering in. If I'm going on longer, burlier approaches I'm more likely to use my TX4 Woman shoes (also a 5 star shoe), but for how lightweight the TX2's are, they are exceptionally durable and comfortable. If you're looking for a light weight approach shoe, this is the one for you!

Love these shoes. They took about 2 weeks to break in some hot spots around the ankle and toes, but after breaking in, they are incredible. The TX2s are unbelievably light, especially considering how much support they have and how far they can take you. I feel like I can hike way faster in these! I'd wear these into the Winds, up Indian Creek approaches, technical 14'ers, at the local crag - everywhere. I was ready to compromise on some support, but I am really impressed with the support and stickiness. You can definitely do some easy climbing in these, and it does really well on the more technical, scrambly, steep terrain.
The bungee cord is a sweet thought, but I'm not sure how practical or durable it is. I racked these on my harness for a bunch of mulitipitch routes on granite cracks and offwidth. The sheath of the cord is a little cut from offwidth groveling, and I'm not sure how well the biner loops would hold up over time. The shoes feel a bit more bulky on the harness, but it's super lightweight otherwise. Fine for basic face-y multipitch climbing where your shoes wouldn't grind up against rock, probably.
I'm a solid 8.5 in street shoes and I got a size 40 according to the chart. The fit is perfect!

I've had these for over a year, and wholeheartedly recommend. Quite comfortable, and dry out quickly when wet. useful for descents off a multipitch as they cinch together easily and dont weight down your harness. Like any other gear in your arsenal they have their uses. The tx3s hold up a little better on more rugged approaches, and the tx2s are better at more technical scrambles.

Very cute shoes and they seem very well made. They're for low-volume feet and I have high-volume feet, so it didn't end well. But I was very sad to see them go.

I'll say it, these are the best approachies I've worn from LaSpo. I've been wearing Sportiva since I began climbing, and I would put these against any of the tried and true hallmarks of their line - Exum Ridge, original Boulders, Boulder X, Ganda, etc. They are light, sticky, and comfortable. They're perfect for anything from strolling around town unlaced, to five mile uphill slogs (with a light-ish pack), to scrambling over boulders in a desert wash. They are supportive enough that my feet never get sore, but light enough to bring on a multi-pitch climb. The only caveat is their tendency to let in small particles (dirt, sand) when hiking in that sort of terrain - which is obviously due to the fact that they are so well-vented. I love these shoes!

These shoes are amazing. I love them for guiding rock as I can climb quite well in them! Lead up to 5.9 comfortably, surprisingly good edge. They are the best multi-pitch approach/descent shoe I have found: light, compact (the elastic that pops off the heal to join the shoes together is awesome), easy clip on to harness. Highly recommend if looking for lightweight shoe for approaches that require difficult scrambling/climbing and for an approach shoe for multi-pitch or general cragging/bouldering.

Truly almost perfect - I cannot overstate the support, stability, and grip of these shoes! If you have narrow to regular feet just get these - I will be over here jealous in the corner.
I have wide feet and these were so close to fitting me. I'm usually within a half size one way or the other of a women's 9 and the 40.5 was perfect in every way with the exception of a tight spot right at the widest point of the toe box - the laces seem like they'd allow you to adjust for width there but unfortunately there's a wedge of engineered mesh webbing that spans the tongue at that spot and prevents the shoe from opening up any wider. I contemplated keeping the shoes and just snipping the webbing back to give myself the tiny bit of room I needed but couldn't justify it at this price point and since it's synthetic I didn't want to gamble on it stretching - went with the Five Ten Tennies instead which are less supportive but much more comfortable width-wise for my metatarsals.

They have a great sole with great traction, but it’s not SO thick that I feel like I’m losing my connection to the ground because that when I’ve had bad ankle twists in the past.
Something else that’s awesome? They’re SO LIGHT ? because again if they’re too heavy I get ankle issues.
But they’re not flimsy, in fact they have really great toe protection and I love the colors.
I’ve been looking for something like these for YEARS!
FYI I had to get a full size BIGGER (I've never worn a 9.5 before) ? so my toes wouldn’t touch the inside top of the shoes..BUT the 9.5 shoes fit my 8.5 feet perfectly. That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars (had to go through the return process and reorder the 9.5 which was a bit of a bummer).

These run about a size too small I usually wear a 8 or 8 .5 depending on manufacture. I read the reviews and decided to try a 9 and I had to return them because my toes almost touched the front of the inside of the shoe. Which it would have after hiking the mountains of NM for an hour. So I retuned them and bought a 9.5 a size I've never owned before.
Start with a .5 size higher but don't be surprised if yo end up with a full size up for your usual. Other than that I love these shoes, they are incredibly light and comfortable exactly the hiking shoes I've been wanting.

I normally wear a size 43 in Sportiva hiking boots and needed to go up to 43.5 for these (and that meant switching over to the men's b/c women's don't come that big!) ... once I got the right fit, these are great! Super lightweight, good traction, and decent support. I just did a 13 mile hike to break them in last weekend and they were great! You can really adjust the tightness to match how much foot support you need for different terrains.

The toe box is smaller than I like, probably good if getting in and out of climbing shoes but tighter than I like.

I wanted to love these shoes but unfortunately I had to return. They KILLED my feet, my heels, my toe, the sides of my feet. I tried different socks, laced tight and not tight, I tried everything I could think of because I really wanted to keep these shoes! Today I had to return home because my feet just couldn't take it any longer. Lucky for me Zappos is AWESOME and helped me return them. Thank you Zappos, you are THE BEST.
