This is my first TravelPro purchase, I travel for business only had the bag for 1 month before handle starts becoming loose and rocky. The seam connecting the zipper also tore while zipping bag closed. For the TravelPro brand and quality this bag did not meet expectations. Not very much support in bag to keep it from compressing and making it difficult to zip bottom half without holding it up by handles. The bags I've previously purchased on amazon for 1/3 - 1/2 the cost at least last 3-6months before damage happens.

Clumsy, awkward and heavy. Not me, the bag. Using it now on a trip to South America and totally hate it. The bag, not the continent. Will be returning it promptly.

NO stars! When I opened the box to unpack the duffel, the incredibly strong musty smell overpowered me. A brand new duffel and it smelled horrible! When I tried to call customer service to ask to have a new one sent, it turns out customer service is basically nonexistent! So I returned the purchase and found one from a different brand, which by the way, has very good customer service, it turns out.

I bought a TravelPro duffel in early 2020 and was initially very happy with it. However, the duffel wore out very quickly after only 15 trips (half flying/half driving). I was also highly dissatisfied with the warranty coverage, which I found to be very weak. The wear and tear problems revolve around the duffel's bottom panel. The first problem arose when the corners of an internal hard plastic panel started punching through the bag's exterior fabric. My warranty claim was denied due to the tear occuring at the "corner" of the internal panel, even though this was located only halfway up the actual duffel bag. After arguing with the repair person, I ended up having to pay to have the bag reinforced with leather patches. Only two trips later, another problem arose on the zipper just below the previous repair. The metal zipper chain has started to become detached from the fabric tape, currently with a 4 inch tear. Rather than wasting my time traveling to have it fixed and deal with the poor warranty coverage, I am instead writing this review and looking at other manufacturers' products for a replacement. On a two notes, I have tended to load the duffel near my airline's maximum weight limit of 50 lbs. However, I feel the duffel should be capable of handing such loads easily. Also, I disagree that this is a "normal wear and tear" situation, since my previous non-TravelPro luggage has lasted 4-5 times longer at much lower cost.

This duffel is less than a year old and the bottom is coming apart! I travel several times a year and always check it. There has been no misuse of it at all but it is suddenly splitting out on both sides at the bottom and I am unable to continue using it. I'm very upset about it because I don't have much longer to work and was hoping this would last until I retired. No such luck with this one.
