I'm by a shirts wearer by nature, preferring legs to be covered up for several reasons. But as this is a mountain gear review, I'll say it's because I don't like tick bites. Anyway, given a recent spell of warm British weather, I took the plunge on a couple of pairs of shorts.
On first impression the material seemed quite thin and flimsy, but not a bit of it. Appearances are deceiving and the material, despite is softness is durable and withstood a few scrapes without issue.
The fit around the waist is perfect for me. I am a perfect arc'teryx large (34") and the general cut is relaxed, allowing excellent freedom of movement. The shorts come to just above my knees.
I have a pair of magnet and legion blue and the colours are very pleasing. They also go with lots of different shoes or tops.
All in all I have nothing to complain about. I suspect that if your size is an odd number the waist may seem a little loose and if you have weedy legs the width of the shorts at the knee may not be to your liking, but for a mr average like me, they are perfect. Comfortable, good to look at, durable and quick drying...that'll do for me.

This is a great all around short for various types of pursuits.
Uses include climbing, canyoneering, hiking, backpacking, and also can be worn as an every day short. These shorts have great water repellency, but also dry quick if caught in heavy rain or submerged under water.
Great built in belt feature too!

I sized up based on a reviews and they were too big in waist and all over. I normally take 34 and the 36 ran big. Other reviewers said they ran waaaay small. Mine didn't. The gray was a nice color.

I bought a pair of these Lefroy along with a pair of Palisades. I ordered both with a 34" waist. The Palisades fit perfectly but the Lefroy was a size too tight. Even though I did not like the crotch zipper length on the Palisade, I decided to keep that pair and get another to replace the Lefroy. I use pockets and the Lefroy has the normal two hand pockets, only one side zippered pocket and no back pocket while the Palisade has a total of five pockets, all of which are zippered.

Very nice shorts except they cheaped out, like so many manufacturers and put in a tiny little zipper.
VERY inconvenient for tall guys, it means you have to drop trou just to take a leak.
No Bueno.

Bought these shorts in my normal size and they don't fit...would recommend ordering a size up. Not a huge fan of the color either (Elk).

I usually won't spend this much on shorts. And after about 2 months and wearing them a few times around town and hiking the back of the one leg is all pulled. Material seems like it pulled so easy. I didn't even do laying a Beating on them yet.

The shorts fit perfectly and the craftmenship is second to none but my only problem with the shorts are that the picture shown does not represent what you get. The grey shorts show a black waistband and belt but I got my pair and the band and belt are the same colour as the short. Which was the reason why I liked the shorts so much. Now I have a pair of shorts that I still like but just don't love.
