I was pleasantly surprised. Shoes arrived ahead of time. They fit as good as a size 13 possibly could. I've been wearing them regularly to break them in, only to find that break in isn't required. Thanks much...!

The fit appears to be good. I've been wearing them since the day after their delivery, (which was on schedule). So far, they feel good

The shoes were comfortable just as other reviewers stated. The problem I had with them was a tapering feel toward the heal. When I stood in them in a standing position, it felt like I could rock or tilt backwards a bit. I’ve felt or seen this in another pair of shoes I purchased online in the past. It’s a strange feeling, so I returned them. Other than that, they seemed like decent shoes at that price point.

The shoe fits properly for length and width. Leather upper and rubber bottom are good quality and design. There is no more arch support in any shoes or sneakers like there used to be. This is a lighter weight walking sneaker, not cushy and supportive like a cross trainers such as the Made in U.S.A. New Balance 577 or the MX 623 V3 It is thin construction, closer to a running shoe. I also bought a pair in white. I like them.

Bought these for my husband. He previously had them in white and liked them so he thought he'd try them in black. He said they fit well, are comfortable, and offer pretty good support.

this is a very basic walking shoe for the money. the fit and sizing are very good quality. what is lacking is this shoes comfort rating. it entirely depends on the insoles you use. if you use the insole it comes with you will find it is ok for walking but not for long days on cement floors. if however you use a high quality insole like powersteps or any of the higher quality orthotics you will find that this shoe will perform to a better comfort level and arch support level than this shoe was made for. in short comfort on long days on cement floors will entirely depend on the type &quality of the orthotic you use. it will also play a factor in the walking element as well in that the insole type and quality make the shoe comfortable on very long walks as well.

Great that's saving my feet at work - outdoor concrete, indoor tile. For 4W, the shoe isn't super wide, but was okay for me - I usually wear W or 2E. Fairly light shoe and that's always a plus. Insole could use more cushioning. I will likely add a gel insert.

Nice shoes, but not as wide through the ball of the foot as I would have liked

These shoes are definitely small for their stated size. I just finished with a pair of similar Skecher's shoes in 14 D, which I found roomy. The 14 D New Balance shoes were unbearably tight, and the tongue wanted to cut into my foot. I exchanged them for 14 EE, and they fit well enough, though I'm doubting whether they'll allow me to fit insoles in them once the initial good support wears down (I'm a RN, I work 12-hour walking shifts, and I tend to burn through shoes fast). That said, initial support is much better than what I had in my Skechers, and these shoes are pleasantly lighter and more breathable. I'm hoping they'll last long enough without adding insoles.

Solid shoes. Comfy with a decent amount of cushioning. Wish they came in different colors but the grey is good.

I thought these would be a great upgrade from my New Balance 330's. They are much nicer than that, and have great cushioning and support. Unfortunately, they felt very wide. I could feel my foot moving from side to side inside the sneakers, even with the laces tied tight. They look great, and felt comfortable, except for the width.

I needed a light, comfortable, summertime walking shoe for some of the paved hilly places where I live and that's exactly what I got! While these shoes seem slightly larger than the twice as heavy same size walking shoes they're replacing (even when worn worn with wool hiking socks), I'm sure that half a size smaller would be too small. So the tradeoff is a little extra room in the toe area. By the way, for those with smaller men's sizes I found it best to double knot the laces as they're quite long, hang quite far down on each side of the shoe if single knotted and thus tend to work themselves loose frequently.

these shoes fit very well. No problems with them so far, quality was to be expected from New Balance. Quite satisfied with them.

I think these shoes are very comfortable. I’m usually a 10 but they felt a little big so I got a 9.5. My only other complaint is that the laces seem a bit long, but overall I think they’re very good shoes.

Zappos service was excellent when I called to return the ones whose width I misordered. This is my second pair of New Balance. I had a 475v3 for about 5 years previously that worked out better than I had expected, considering that I paid $40 for them at Sears. These new ones feel great so far; they are size 10/4E. FWIW, during my research, I noticed that complaints about walking shoes tended to come more often from folks needing really large sizes. Do shoes actually come in size 17?

I wore these shoes every single day for 10 months. I wore them walking in five different countries. I finally wore them out and bought another identical pair.

These are really comfortable. But I cannot embrace them yet as they are... well let's be frank, they are old person sneakers. I'm not quite ready to go down that road. If you are, however, they are very comfortable!

Not deep enough in the heel. My heel slides out like a slipper.

This shoe is a sportier, grey mesh and nubuck version of the black leather 411v2 and looks a lot like the famous NB990v3. That one is a GREAT, extremely comfortable shoe, but this is really good for $100 bucks less. The 411 is NOT a running shoe, but works well for slow to moderate paced walking. For power walkers or joggers, the NB990 is better suited. If you are an over-pronator, this shoe will not provide enough lateral stability and is not billed as a stability shoe, which the NB990 is. These are definitely not as well made as the US built 990 and are not built to last as long, but at the price you can buy three pairs and change them out every 4-6 months to maintain the cushioning. For some reason, I think this version is a little more stiff in the insole than the leather version, but seems to soften up after a couple of wearings. Best of, you won't look like an old man or a mall walker wearing them. I have a bit of nerve damage on the bottoms of my feet, so comfort really counts for me.
