I initially bought these in my true sz 8, but after trying them on with socks there was a lot of slipping and I exchanged them for a 7.5. I'd say the run 1/2 size large in LENGTH but they do seem to run narrow (which is why I wanted the 8 to work out). They are very comfortable - kind of "squishy" when you walk and very lightweight. I bought them primarily to wear for work because I refuse to deal with uncomfortable footwear, but I think I will end up wearing them with denim cutoffs and jeans out of work too. They add a nice tomboy flair to outfits.

I ordered this in a 9 1/2. I'm fairly thin. This shoe looks nice for casual work wear. It's been very comfortable and is lightweight. If you have a thicker foot, I think this shoe will be too tight for you.

These bad boys feel like you're walking on clouds! And the masculine-chic style is perfect. I get loads of compliments when I wear them!

So comfortable and really chic looking! I'm a size 11 so usually can't wear this style without looking like I'm wearing huge mannish shoes but these have great lines.

Love them! These shoes marry Clarks comfort with an amazing style. Out of the box they looked narrow but once on, they fit perfectly (I usually purchase wide widths). Super light. Would absolutely recommend.

This shoe fits my feet and my style perfectly. I cannot and will not wear torturous heels anymore. These shoes are comfortable and great with pants for work. Highly recommend.

A very nice pair of Clarks shoes. I especially enjoy shoes that lace up. I wish they had more colors. Very comfortable.

These are super cute, a fun unusual color and pattern. I really love the sole. They felt a bit too long than what I am comfortable with.

These shoes are incredibly comfortable and provide good support. I got them in black. I am a size 9 and i sometimes have to get narrow widths. These however are a little narrow and fit me perfectly. I didn't find them long, just a regular size 9. And the sole is nice and thick. They are also quite fashionable. Sleek look - great with pants.

I LOVE these shoes! I am on my feet all day for work, and these felt so good on my feet and were great for my back. ALSO! they kick butt when dancing! Great look, support and functionality!!!

Very light, comfortable and stylish shoe. I've tried other Oxfords this season, as the style's very popular. Most of them were very heavy on my foot. This is very lightweight. I can be either a 6 or a 6.5 in Clarks shoes, depending on the style, and in this one I was definitely a 6. It is a narrower shoe, and while the 5.5 might have been a better fit length-wise (I ordered both sizes, based on the review here stating the shoe ran big), it was too narrow. The 6 wasn't, but I do have some extra toe room. But for a lace-up, this isn't really a problem, particularly since I'll be wearing it with socks. The shoe is very comfortable; I know I'll be wearing it a lot this fall and winter.

Love this shoe, after spending most of the summer wearing the Clark's Glick Delta (fisherman sandal). Like the Delta, this runs about a half size large, but unlike the Delta, sizing down didn't work for me -- it was just a little too small. But given how cute and comfortable the Darby is, I decided to keep the slightly too-large pair and just wear them with thick socks. My first day wearing them at work I received immediate compliments, just like I did with the Delta. Love them! (Though I do wish Clarks would get their sizes a little more consistent.)

Since there are so many mixed reviews about sizing, I suggest trying them out in several sizes! Though they have no arch support, they do have a nice cushiony sole. I followed recommendations from reviewers and purchased these a half size smaller than my usual size. They felt okay at first. However, after wearing them a couple of times with no-show socks, they feel a whole size larger. It almost seems like I’m wearing clogs.

Nice style but the other pair I ordered from Zappos was more comfortable and made my size 12 foot look smaller.

I like the look of these, but will return because although they are supposed to have a removable insole, one cannot remove it with damage to the shoe and my orthotics are too deep with the footbed so not for me.

Love this shoe, so sad it was too small Clarks, please make larger sizes.

Handsome shoes, but too narrow

A very attractive, very uncomfortable shoe. If you're looking for classic Clarks comfort and your foot tends toward wide think twice. The toe box is narrow, the whole front of the shoe is narrow, the heel lifts up out of the shoe with each step dragging the sock down. A huge and expensive disappointment.
