How can you advertise these as paddock boots? Aren't paddock boots to be used for riding as well as chores? Not only clunky and cheap looking out of the box, but I cannot zip my 1/2 chaps down over them. I have bought 3 pair of the insulated H2O for the last 3 years and been very happy. These new boots are poorly designed, too large, and quite uncomfortable. Who did you hire in your design or accounting department who went cheap? A millennial? Quality vs quantity people. I see which way you are going and I'm not going with you. Ariat had a great start, but you are failing. Spending my money elsewhere. Thanks for the good times, and they WERE GOOD! I have spent YEARS recommending your products to anyone that would listen. Now I am embarrassed for you. You need to rehire whomever was responsible for your earlier products. They knew what they were doing. So very sad really.

Very high quality boots that keep me warm and dry, even during the muddy pasture months. I've had them for years and still love them.

I use these boots for work and for walking our dog. I wear them in all seasons and love the look, support, and comfort. The main reason for my first pair was for horseback riding. I lived in Massachusetts and wanted warm, waterproof boots. Then I got a dog and wore them for dog training and walking in every season and terrain. I can't live without them and they really stand up to life with a Portuguese Water Dog!

I have owned a pair of these boots for at least ten years. They are awesome -- durable, warm, and they are comfortable both in the saddle and walking around in the snow and mud as well as inside the barn. They are easy to clean and keep looking good.

I have been wearing the lace up riding boots for years They are very comfortable But I wanted to find something I could just step into and get out the door to walk the dog this winter So I bought these beautiful boots and they are working out perfectly for me I just step into them and zipped them up and Off I go. They are going to be perfect when the snow comes this winter

I have two pairs of these and want another pair, as mine are now old and worn. I can walk miles in these boots, in cold weather, in snow, in rain. They are highly supportive, warm, and cozy. I find them more comfortable than many more expensive boots that I own.
Buy them!

I love these shoes I wear them all the time. My favorite for long walking, riding barn chores etc...I have an average foot and I love the support. No insoles needed.I even took them to be polish by the cobbler because I want them to last forever. Bought a second pair and they haven't worn out yet. I like the dip in the achilles tendon they don't rub on my ankle.

I love these boots. The way they fit, I can go barefoot, wear thin socks, or wear super-heavy wool socks and still step into them. I can also wear them zipped or unzipped -- they stay on, so I use them sometimes almost as clogs, just stepping in, running an errand, and kicking off. More multi-purpose than I would expect from any footwear, and typical beautiful Ariat manufacture and looks.

I purchased my usual size and it was a bit tight so I needed to exchange for a size larger. Problem is, Ariat is out of size 8.5 for the season!!!!!! I ordered a 9 in hopes that with thick socks I will be able to wear them!

So comfy and so cute. Ariat is the best brand for me as far as combat boots go.

I haven't actually worn these out of house just yet however I am confident that they will be perfect. I will say that they are comfortable, no break in period needed for me. I did order a half size larger to accommodate a heavier sock and the fit is right on. Ariat footware has always been a good fit for me. As always, Zappos is awesome.

I purchased these in a size 8 1/2. They fit great! I have not worn them in the snow yet. My feet get cold, because I froze my feet as a kid. So I like the H2o Insulated. I think Ariat had a Gore Tek lace up boot, that was super, till I wore those out. I like the zipper on these, easy on, easy off. It took a few 2 days to break these in. Mainly, I had to get used to this higher top boot. I wear them every where. It would be great to wear out to the barn. Everything washes up well. Underneath the zipper well made so no water or snow will get in. I have always loved Ariat boots. These boots were pricey, but my feet are worth it!

These shoes are the best. Well constructed, smart looking though not particularly fashionable, they can be worn all day walking in the woods or on city streets for miles and miles. My feet stay warm and dry and my back never gets tired like it does with most shoes. On trips for all but summer, they are my go-to walking-shoe since I usually wear jeans they are fine. Less face it, if you feel good, everything looks better and the experience is better too. My husband owns a pair. I have had Ariats for a long, long time and no one makes a more durable boot. I have a lighter paddock pair which I've owned for 15 years and they still look good.

I have been wearing these boots basically all day everyday, in my everyday activities, like riding, cleaning barn, walking through mud, puddles of water, dust, snow, ice, going to town, events, hiking, etc, for the past 2 years, and they still look bran new!! The support in these boots are amazing! They are my go to pair for everything!!

I bought these recently and so far they have kept me warm and dry riding indoors during the winter (I live in NS, Canada). The top of the boot is very supportive but it might be seen as a bit restricting and I can see why some people say it could rub, so just wear a thick sock and problem solve. They look great and for me have been very comfortable and true to size.

I wore these quite often as I needed waterproof and warm paddock boots and I love ariats in general. I found these stiff and a bit small, especially in the instep and toes. The insulation seemed to take up extra space. You might try 1/2 size up.

Ariat Extreme Paddock H20 Insulated Boots: Well-made, quality boots. Waterproof and well insulated. Great footbed, comfortable and supportive. These boots would be perfect for rainy or snowy weather. Problem was the top of the boot: Even though I'm a small person, the top of the boot was too tight around my leg and hurt my leg when I walked. On the plus side, I love Zappo's speedy service and the wide range of shoes they carry. Thank you Zappo's!!!

I really wanted to keep one of these pairs of boots. I had just tried and returned the Ariat Terrain H2O boots because the zipper wouldn't stay up (a design issue in how they fit the bend in my upper feet). I had hoped this higher cut boot would do the job and loved that it was waterproof, insulated, and easy to put on/take off with that zipper. Ariat makes a beautiful boot and this full-grain leather boot is gorgeous and substantial (pretty heavy). As another reviewer wrote about Ariat boots, am sure they would last a long time with this type of construction and thoughtful amenities, like an attached tongue and strap at the back for an easy pull-on.
What I had not expected in the 7.5B (my size in the Terrain boot) was that the toe box would be narrower and the volume, lower than the Terrain. There is a very nice removable insole with a gel pad at the ball of the foot but I think with the insulation, this extra padding compressed my foot in there with a medium weight athletic sock. I also found that the toe area in these were narrower than the Terrain 7.5B. Am sure the boot would have eventually stretched out but there were other issues for my return. I found that the heel cup on the left side did not fit my foot as well as the right side. My own orthotics worked well in this size and I could wear a thicker sock but not with the Ariat insert (a thicker one than my custom orthotics which are not as cushy as Ariat's). The soles of the boots were flexible but harder than I'm used to (even with Ariat's very nice inserts).
I tried the size 8B and it was amazingly larger all over (more than the 1/2 size would have predicted). The toe box was quite comfortable since it was a bit wider and the volume better for heavier socks with the Ariat insert, but not so much for my own orthotics. But then the heels were now a bit too wide and my heels would rub. This is a boot style with a real heel and therefore a slight drop to the ball of the foot so would magnify issues like heel rubbing and a less-than-comfortable ball of the foot.
This is a REAL all-leather boot, designed for an athletic purpose--riding. That it was a bit stiff in the shaft(which does have a narrower top, great for my thin ankles and lower calf muscles) and would require some breaking in should not have surprised me. Since I auditioned them in my home, it's difficult to know how warm they might keep your feet but there certainly was nice insulation all over. The zippers, however, did stay up beautifully (even going up and down the stairs here at home) and were kept in place also by the leather welting around the zipper.
I would LOVE to own a pair of Ariats in the future but maybe not those styles intended for colder weather wear! I could not give them an Overall 5-star because of the issues mentioned above. I would however give Zappos more than 5 Stars if I could!

I absolutely loved these boots. They fit great except at the ankle where it was way too snug when I bent my foot. Since I need them to work outside, this would not work for me.

I ordered 7 women's which I usually wear. I LOVE Ariat's regular lace up paddock boots, but my feet have been getting cold even with thick socks. These were sized well but they started out very stiff and as squeaky as a new saddle. I took off one star as they are a little snug and stiff right at the top of the ankle. They are breaking in and are warm but not as comfy out of the box as I would have liked. Foot beds are Ariat's great strength! I like that the tongues are attached so they don't shift. Wish they did that with the regular paddock boots...

I got these for Christmas but such a waste. Usually I love Ariat products but these boots are badly designed. Horribly tight, even cutting off circulation to the foot. The rubber materials used have not a bit of give which means they won't break in. Size up an entire size if you want to wear socks thicker than Izods. But even then expect them to pinch at the stitching and ankle. Steep price for such a problematic product. I won't ever wear them.
