This review is about the fit; I had to return them because they were way too small. This is perplexing as I have a pair of Scarpa Mojitos that are the best-fitting shoes I own. The Zen Pros of the same size, however, were way too small--not even close. I ultimately returned them so have no experience to share about anything else.

Great shoe... seem heavier then other Scarpa shoes I own.

Nice fitting shoe. At first I thought they were going to be too stiff but they eased up very fast. The laces could be longer for those of us who have high arches. Over all I am very happy with these shoes

Love 'em! This is a fairly heavy, very solid boot. I had the older version, they were nearly indestructible, but had an oddly narrow fit. This version maintains the solid construction but is much more comfortable. Great support, incredible grip, makes my feet feel invincible. If you're used to a lighter low hiker these may feel a bit heavy.

Zen Pro shoes shipped in today. After trying on, I can say If you are a normal size 10D US, the Zen Pro will fit fine. Out of the box, its a snug fit with medium thickness socks and the shoe has a stiff, supportive feel which I prefer. For my intended use, the Zen Pro compares favorably with the 5.10 Camp Four approach shoe which I am accustomed to. I expect the shoes will "break in" and adapt to my feet. The Zen Pro will serve well for every day wear with all purpose use in mind. Now is the time to order....on sale and shipped to my door $125.95. Don't worry....Scarpa goods are high quality both in materials and workmanship and at this price, a great deal. Thank you Zappos.

Narrow shoe with hard flat bottom, but that's intentional for this type of shoe I think. Seems really well made and I expect it to be durable and long lasting.

These appear to be much better quality than all the low top shoes I have previously had. I wear out shoes in 4 to 6 months but I don’t think that will be the case with these. The lining is what I would guess will be the first thing show wear. Sole is excellent with great traction even on slick rocks. Lace pattern is long and allows the best lacing comfort I have experienced. Great shoe so far after 20 miles or so.

Theses shoes felt good and solid. They are well made and I can imagine they would last for a long while but I needed to return them. While they did fit they tended to make my foot pronate inwardly. I seek shoes and boots that are neutral, not pronating nor supinating. These shoes did not specify in the description and maybe I'm wrong, but while they felt good on the foot I felt like my ankles were ever so slightly moving inwards.... in other words; pronating. Long term it wouldn't be the right shoe for me. Pity.

I feel weird doing this but I have to return these shoes after wearing them for several weeks. The fit great, the look great, they are heavy duty, and they are seriously built to last. I was completely impressed with the Scarpa Zen Pro, except for one little thing.....and that was enough to send them back. There is a small lump or ripple in the interior on the sole of the right shoe that is directly under the ball of my foot. I didn't notice it right away, but after wearing the shoes for a week, my foot was sore on the ball (felt swollen). I tried adjusting the laces. I tried tightening the laces. I tried loosening the laces. Nothing seemed to work. I found myself taking off my shoes in the office to get some relief during the day. I went another few days but decided I just couldn't make it work. And since the shoes were rather expensive, I have to send them back, sans their box (because I recycled it too soon). I'm ordering another pair of the Zen Pros because I love these shoes - I'm just hoping the ones I received were defective. Zappos - sorry to send the shoes back after being worn outside - I wouldn't normally do this but I must this time. I'll keep buying shoes from you.

Extremely well made shoe - no doubt. Good looking as well. I wear a 10-1/2 and these were just barely too snug in length. A half size larger would have been too much - maybe somewhere in between would have worked for me.
