These boots were a great deal I could not pass up. I have large calves and these were super snug. I could wear them with leggings only at first. I have used leather stretching liquid to stretch out the calves and they are good now. Super cute boots, love the look. They are pre-distressed, so look like they have already been broken in.

I absolutely love these boots! I cannot say enough positive about them. The finish gives it a worn, rustic, casual look. That is very cute! They run just a little small; I have other Frye boots in 7½ and while I could get my feet in, I could barely get them out! I am moving up to 8! That might not work if you have a wide foot, either.

Wonderful boots! Bought half a size larger, like I usually do as I have a wide foot and have had toe surgeries, fit perfectly from day one and have worn them ever since. I am on my feet all day so comfort means a lot to me. Have gotten innumerable compliments!

I have a narrow calf so these boots are perfect! Very comfortable and have just the right amount of distressing.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!! So comfortable and the leather is so soft! I have no trouble getting these on or off as other reviews have said. The leather is so yummy! They smell like a horse saddle and already have that worn-in look and feel.

Beautifully constructed boot! I love the height and narrowness of the shaft (just enough room for pants or leggings without being sloppy looking.) However, not appropriate for those with wider calves. The boot does run narrow through the foot as well compared to the Phillip Harness. With the zipper at the ankle it was not too difficult to get on and off. I love the strap at the ankle. It gives these boots some personality!

I love these boots! They're stylish and classic. Just note that they definitely run small -- I saw that from previous reviews and hedged my bets with ordering sizes up. I usually wear a 6.5 and with these boots, a 7.5 was the perfect fit.

These boots are very well made..the leather is smooth and thick..they do not flop they stand tall..i ordered the brown when on sale for $150..happy i did..keepers..Nice boot for dress or casual..zipper for easy on and off...The leather smells so good..Very good quality...will last for years...run true to size though a little narrow..my right foot is a little tighter than my left..but sure they will stretch a little with wear...love love these boots..would like to see more Frye boots in a tan/British tan color..the ones i have are a dark beautiful brown...and the leather is just so so thick...not thin...very nice boot

Just received boots today..Impressed..the leather is smooth and thick..they are not floppy boots..stand nice and tall and do not flop down...Keepers...Nice boot for dress or casual.Very Well made...would love to get these in Tan....I purchased these for a great price..of $150...that is a great price for Frye boots...These boots will last for years.....Thanks zappos..

Very happy with my purchase! I have small calves (about 13") and narrow feet, so it's very hard for me to find boots that I'm not swimming in. These boots have a 14" circumference and fit perfectly. I found them to be true to size, but I could see how someone with normal to wide calves/feet might want to size up or pass on these boots altogether, as other reviews have suggested. If you struggle with finding boots that fit your petite frame, I highly recommend!

These are amazing! Beautifully stylish and just what I was looking for for my first pair of Fryes. I was concerned that they would be too tall on my petite 5'1" frame but they look great!

I got them in black sz 9.5, they run true to size. They feel a bit narrow (but I know they will stretch). They fit my calves perfect. So far I love these boots and my other Frye boots!

These are great boots. They are very narrow so if you have wide calves or want loose boots these are not for you. The color is interesting. It is black but vintage so it us faded. I also had to order three pairs before I found the right ones. The left calf was much wider than the right on a few pairs. But once I found the right pair, I love them and wear them all the time!

I would have loved this boot had it not been for the color. The finish is "antiqued" or stone-washed and that makes it look more on the casual side. (I was looking for a dressier boot.) It is a very snug fit...beware if you have a high instep or your calves are bigger that 14 1/2 inches. Also, although it zips at the ankle, you will need help getting it off. If I didn't already have a casual boot, I would have certainly kept this one!

I love these boots, however, I am in search of black boots and the wash on these definitely gives them a rustic warn look...taking them to a very dark grey. I am tempted to keep them because I really like the style, but I can tell that I am still going to be looking for a BLACK boot. Returning them...hoping that Frye decides to make them in a true black because I am bummed out!

I ordered several pairs of Frye boots, and most fit in size 9. However, this one I had to try a 9.5, and it fits perfectly. Looks great and feels great. This is the pair I chose to keep, but it was tempting to buy three!

Love love this pair! Always get compliments when i wear these. Its a little narrow and tight but as you wear it more it stretches and the color even gets better

These boots are nice and snug in all the right places. I was surprised how comfortable they were at the end of the day; however, the material around the ankle is hard and tends to rub the back of my ankle. Although it has become less noticeable especially with wearing thick socks. I do wish they had more tread because it is snowy in the winter and I live on steep hills, so it isn't ideal for walking around on slippery days.

Review for Zappos Rewards Points Loved the style of these boots, however the leather was very distressed, so not the look I was going for. I wanted something a bit more polished. If you are looking for a nice distressed, more gray leather, try these boots. Great Frye quality.

I bought these in the tan color and it is gorgeous! The color is exactly what I was looking for. My biggest complaint with these boots is that the calf is smaller than I expected. I have the Phillip Harness riding boots as well, and even though according to the description for both these should be an inch bigger, they definitely are not! But I do love them otherwise, and my other Frye boots look great after 2 seasons of wear so I'm keeping them with the hopes that a cobbler can possibly stretch the calf out just a little and then they would be perfect!!

I have a size 11 foot and a 14" calf so just about every boot is too wide on me, even over jeans. These are some of the closest I've tried on so they have a fairly narrow calf, considering. They still gape on me but a lot less than other styles. I don't have trouble getting them on even with the lack of a full zip. The foot is not as narrow as other Frye boots I have tried on. But, the issue I have is with the color. The photo of the tan polished stonewash shows a rich warm cognac type color; however, when I opened the box a very light tan boot was staring back at me. I enjoy the fit, and the style, but I'm not sure about this color. It is closer to the color of golden beach sand than to cognac, which is pretty disappointing.
