I am a longtime fan of New Balance shoes, but this model fell short for me. For most people, these might be okay, especially for short term wear, but I work all day on concrete floors and after about 4 hours, the cushioning in these just wasn't cutting it anymore and I was in pain, even with my Superfeet insoles. If you dopn't have bad arches or bone spurs, you might be ok with these,but I find even the 574's to hold up better than this model in terms of comfort.

Both my last 2 pairs came apart. The upper separated from the soles. The last pair was only a few months old. I called NB and although I had no proof on purchase they agreed to send me a new pair at greatly reduced visit and with free shipping.

I HAVE BEEN BUYING 608 NB SHOES FOR MANY YEARS, EACH TIME THEY TRY TO UP DATE THEM THEY GET WORSE. PLEASE BRING BACK THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE 608V2 SHOE

As a rule, I love NB shoes. I've ordered several pair. However, I have a pair of 608v4 shoes that I have word daily since mid-June (2.5 months) and the cushioning on the heel of one has worn all the way through to where it rubs on my heel and is very uncomfortable to wear. I was pleased with the overall comfort to begin with, but within the last week the wear in that area has made me in an old pair of shoes again. Oddly, it's only one that has worn through, but it's also on the foot where I had a previous heel injury and it aggravates it now. Based on other reviews and my previous experience with NB, this seems like an anomaly, and I'd try these again. However, if they don't hold up I guess I'll need another model. I prefer these because they're available in wider widths.

As a long time NB wearer, these shoes are excellent in all aspects but one. The bottom of the soles have recessed grooves that catch dirt and rocks. Also after a length of time I got a crack in one of the grooves that opened into the shoe to let water in. Would not recomend these unless they are worn primarily indoors, like at the gym.

These shoes looked great, but I had to return them. I have purchased NB for years and am a "classic size 10.5" However these shoes were too short so I returned them I visited the local NB retail store and bought a different model, size 10.5, and they fit fine. Perhaps ordering a half size larger may be a better approach.

Cushioning inside the shoe feels great at the start, but broke down and cracked very quickly.

My husband has severe arthritis and these seemed to be the shoe for him. They are wide enough in the toe for his bent toes, sole cushioning was good also. Nice look for dress slacks as he can not wear dress shoes. We purchased 2 pair thinking we found a great shoe for him....The BIG issue was the sole started separating with about 3 months of wear. They are like a bad retread tire. Will not buy another new balance product.

New balance shoes used to be great but those days are over.They are now ill fitted ,a pain to wear and a total waste of money.They have cut the quality of the shoe to zero.Each series gets worse and now I will go elsewhere to buy shoes.
