These are good, but I'm liking my Cliftons better. Having a small plantar fasciitis issue at the moment and it may be the extra width of these that matters. Still great shoes, though. Love the color!

So far I really like the shoes. I can see why some people might say they feel a tad narrow though. I am able to walk quite long distances so far without my feet hurting from painful calluses.

I love these shoes. I have toe problems hammer toe, and it sometimes bothers it but I am hoping that it will stop when they get broken in I also have ball of foot pain and the extra cushioning at the middle of the foot really saves my ability to stand all day. I usually take a size 11 but sized down to 10½ and that is perfect.

These are comfortable and extremely well padded. They are one of the wider hokas, which is helpful for my feet. They are also a little deeper, so the shoes come up just a bit higher on my ankles, which I don't like as much. These seem to run just a little longer than other hokas I have, but not so much that I would order a smaller size. Overall, these are comfortable and nicely padded for my walking.

Right out of the box these shoes were extremely comfortable, enveloping my feet with soft cushioning. I have problem flat feet and a bunion, and these shoes provide the support I need for running. For comfort I give this shoe 5 stars (or more). I give it 3 stars for style simply because I don't like wearing huge company logos on my shoes or clothing, a strictly personal pet peeve. Also, like I said these shoes were great for me and my wide flat feet, but for runners with narrower feet they may feel a bit too wide. Overall I love the shoes and will definitely order this brand again.

These are nice shoes but they do not have the durability or support of the hiking version of this shoe. The arch support is pretty good but the cushion in the soul of the shoe breaks down after not a lot of wear. As a running shoe goes, it is a bit clunky.

I had heard great things about these shoes so I decided to give them a try. I think they all are ugly but I bought them for comfort. I had been have plantar fasciitis flare ups but they we not away after walking in these shoes for a couple of weeks. I wasn't wearing them every day all day, only when I walked in the mornings 3 days a week. These shoes are great for people with problem feet. I can get over them not being the best looking shoe but my only complaint is how they wear. I shouldn't have much more than 30 miles on them and there are spots on the bottom that are almost worn slick. I would expect a lot better out of such an expensive shoe. Right now, it's too early to be able to tell if I would recommend to a friend. I wish I could post a picture of the bottoms in my review

Toe box still too narrow despite that I ordered the wide. Not certain why they changed the design but many, many people are complaining about the narrow toes in the new shoes.

I felt I had to review these shoes as I am buying my 2nd pair. First the plus side, comfort, omg they are cloud shoes and I've tried a bunch of different brands. I'm not a runner but I walk, and I wear these everywhere. The quicker or stronger you move the more you sink in and feel the comfort. The minus side these used to come with 2 insoles so you could choose differing supports/ width. Which i really liked. They have discontinued this and put a different insole altogether. i thought there was a mistake and sent back a pair because of the missing insoles, then I contacted Hoka directly and sure enough they no longer offer 2 insoles. The new insole is more substantial, but more like the narrow one offered before. At the Hoka site they offer the Bondi 4 in wide. the other minus is that they wear out quickly, I am getting my 2nd pair 4 month later YIkes there isn't any tread left and they do stretch out. Still despite all that I do love these shoes.

I own a lot of Hoka one one shoes and I love them all but this particular style is uncomfortable. It is true to size but runs narrow even in the heel.

I wear a 7 1/2 but buy an 8 because of the inserts I use. I have the Bondi3 and love them, but they have just worn out. The Bondi4 are much narrower. Why would they change a good model?

Received the shoes. Shockingly comfortable right out of the box. Wore lightly around to break in, ran four miles the next day - felt amazing. Wore for a 2.5 mile run following day and sadly seeing a lot of scuffing/wear on the front of the shoe. Customer service sending out replacement ASAP. For the price sticker and 2 runs in them only, was a little bummed and hopeful it was one fluke thing and does not happen when replacements get here.

I am hoping that ordering a size up will make the difference. I ordered these in my usual size 9 and they were so narrow and uncomfortable that I had to return them. I had them on for about ten minutes inside the house, and now 3 hours later my right foot still hurts! I'm very surprised. A running coach suggested I try the Hokas because I have had a hip injury that has forced me to decrease my mileage by more than half. I've been running in Saucony shoes for years and haven't had any issues with them. Fingers crossed...I really want to like these shoes.

I have been an avid fan of the Clifton -- the lighter (and less expensive) Hoka One One which I absolutely love -- except that it only lasts me about 350 miles and then I have pain in the ball of my foot again. I was encouraged to try the Bondi 4 because it offers more forefoot cushioning. Alas, the toe box is too small and while I appreciate the great cushioning, these shoes irritate my bunions. They also feel heavier and stiffer to me, and tight around my arch. I've been spoiled by the truly fantastic, light, pillowy, super comfortable Clifton. But I hear the Clifton 2 now has improved durability so I'm going back to that -- the best running shoe I have ever worn.
I'd also recommend:
Try the Clifton 2, also by Hoka One One. It's the best shoe out there!!!

I'm still on the fence about these shoes. I've had foot pain for awhile and recently tore a tendon in my foot. I also have really high arches. First, I really love the cushioning in these shoes. They are excellent for cushioning for impact. The lack of arch support is a problem, and it didn't improve when I added both the Hoka insoles. For whatever reason my arches really bother me in these shoes. I'm so frustrated because I love the cushioning, but I'm just not sure they're going to work for me. I also notice that I have very little stability in them, and my ankles feel wobbly. I normally wear Asics Gel Nimbus, but I wish I combine the general comfort of the Asics with the cushioning of the Hoka. I'm going to keep trying to break them in, but so far I'm not thrilled.

I bought 2 of the Bondi 4 as did my husband - We use to run but now walk a lot with our 2 Weimaraners. The bottom front seems to shred. They are extremely comfortable but not for walking much. I feel unstable as there is no side support at all. It might be fantastic for some but for the cost and they are shredding after 3 months light walking. Too expensive and sorry I bought between my husband and I!

I loved the Bondi 3. The new Bondi is so narrow, and I have narrow feet. I had to return as it just felt way too tight. Also, I miss the speed laces in the new version.

Unfortunately, I thought these were more padded and cushioned. These do not have the same padding or structure as the Stinson One on One Hoka's. Will work for some runners, but not for me.

This is the second pair of Hokas I have sent back. Regular or medium width shoes fit me just fine, but the way the Hokas are designed, my little toe rubs on both pairs of Hokas that I tried. Too bad that Hoka does not carry a wide. I would give it a shot just to have the "walking on clouds" feeling. I am disappointed that these don't work for me because I have plantar fasciitis and tendonitis in both feet, along with a stress fracture, and these are the shoes that my chiropractor highly recommended.

I am a podiatrist and a half marathoner. I truly evaluate shoes and I often recommend excellent shoes to patients. This year Hoka One One has changed EVERY model that I have tried (3 thus far Clifton, Bondi, Stinson) TOO NARROW.
TOO NARROW
Hoka One One needs to make a decision as to whether they will cater to narrow feet or wide feet. I will tell you as a podiatrist, most people come in with flat feet issues/wide feet.
They should have a few models for NARROW feet and keep a few models WIDE for the wider feet. I am unhappy that they have switched this.
As a podiatrist who recommends this brand, it is unfortunate b.c now I don't know if every year they are going to continue to change the width.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks Beast, Saucony Hurricane 13, Orthaheel for plantar fasciitis.

In trying to buy my second pair of Hoka One Ones, I've purchased 3 and sent 3 back due to their being 1/4" narrower than my original Bondi 2s. So disappointed as they are the only shoes I can comfortably travel through airports and pound city pavement in without foot pain. I have one forefoot wider then the other and just had the bright idea to try a men's pair! I sized down 2 sizes and we'll see how those feel when they arrive. Love the cushion so hate to give up on them altogether.

They have changed the best thing they had too bad for me and them. The shoe is narrow and I needed the space. I am trying to find the black/coral womens 2015 Bondi 4 I saw a site in Europe but can't understand. This shoes really made a difference. Found a brighter blue on Eastbay for Hoka must be phasing them out but I snagged them even though I wanted the black. Bad, really Sad.

I have metatarsalgia and wanted a shoe with extra cushion in the ball of foot area. I researched brands of shoes and also read reviews here on Zappos. I bought the Bondi 4 and putting them on, immediately felt off-balance, like I was going to either roll my ankle or fall forwards. They were definitely cushioned but they did not have the "pillow softness" that people have reported, the cushioning was more like an orthotic insert. I had the shoes for two weeks and noticed the paint on the side of the shoe had completely flaked off! I'd previously read here of other reviews of Hokas where people had complained of the same thing but guess I thought that it would not happen to me with the model that I chose - but it did. I was not interested in trying another model of Hokas; they are rather pricey for shoes where the paint is consistently flaking off their shoes. I returned the Hokas to Zappos for an exchange and I got a pair of Altras instead.
