Bought this bag for a working trip to Europe. Needed something to carry my electronics (and all their accompanying cables, etc) wallet, umbrella, water bottle, etc. With a few of my own modifications, the bag was completely worth the money. Carried it all over the Czech Republic and it never let me down. Big fan of Bagallini and Zappos! Here are the pros and cons. Pros: Everything, including my ipad pro 10.5inch, fits easily into the bag with room to spare. The two side pockets on the front are perfect for an umbrella and a water bottle, as long as it is slim -- the ones shaped like a glass coke bottle slide in and out with ease. The material is sturdy and zippers slide well. The bag is very lightweight and is very comfortable, both as a tote and a crossbody. I carried it all day as a crossbody, even when full and it never felt heavy. I am 5'11" and the bag fits me in size very well. Cons: The pocket on the back of the bag has a zipper on the bottom so that you can attach the bag to a rolling suitcase handle, and that bottom zipper has a tendency to open up about an inch during the day. So I don't use that pocket much lest something fall out. The pockets inside the bag are not very deep/usable and the lining material is rather flimsy. The padded pocket that is meant to hold a computer was too big for my purposes and in the way. The bag does not stand on its own, even when full. HOWEVER, I solved the last three things by removing the padded laptop pocket with some careful sewing scissors and purchasing an inexpensive felt bag organizer on Amazon. This gave me more appropriate pockets, gave the bag structure so it would stand, and turned the bag into a FAR more usable item. I would definitely recommend it.

Wow! I love this bag! It’s not frumpy but looks professional. I purchased it in black and it’s the perfect personal item bag for an airplane. Since switching jobs, I no longer have the opportunity to sit in first class and quickly realized on my last flight in coach that the aisle seats no longer offer much storage space below. Due to a back injury, the overhead bin is too awkward for me especially when traveling alone. So, I went on a search for some type of carry-on bag to sit at my feet...a bag that I can cram a few snacks into along with reading material, earphones, a small purse, etc. Honestly, I have 3 Baggallini crossbody purses that have traveled around the world with me for 10 years. I know that each bag is thoughtfully designed, organized and wears like steel. This bag is ALSO amazing! Like other reviewers, the padded computer section is a waste of space for me and I thought about ripping it out BUT it’s a great place for files, magazines or items you don’t want to crush like a sandwich from home for those long travel days. ;-) Highly recommend!

Best work bag I have ever had. It has room for everything from my laptop, books, wallet, phone, iPad, to makeup and then some. Inside pockets to hold smaller items and one inside zipped pocket, perfect to put even more stuff. Once all the stuff is in the back it does not look bulky! There are three convenient outside pockets that store a water bottle, umbrella, keys, and a nifty little attached wallet for my work ID. The fabric is perfectly stain resistant and absolutely water proof in the worst rain. Trust me, I’ve tried it out involuntarily. On the other side it has two zippers that open a pocket to slide over your suitcase handle, easy to travel in an airport, but can also function as an extra pocket to put a scarf or light cardigan. The bag stands upright even if it is only lightly packed. Oh, the best thing is that it is pink inside, so you can see all your items. Absolutely love it.

I love this bag, but the company needs to improve the quality of the zippers for it to be worth the price.

My perfect bag! I use this as my "personal item" on plane and the exterior dual zippers open for use as a trolley sleeve. "Oversized" laptop section is perfect for tablet plus book/magazine/journal/a few file folders. The rest of the main compartment holds my warm scarf (aka travel blanket); liquids; a snack; electronics bag for earbuds, cords & chargers; jewelry, and small purse with wallet, reading glasses, phone. The narrow exterior pockets are good for my extra glasses, Chomps beef stick snacks, a narrow "cola"-style water bottle, umbrella. The luggage tag holder I use to for tea bags (- at last! tea bags don't get pulverized in my bag!) I have the gray bag and the fuchsia interior color makes me smile every time. I have also used this bag as an overnight bag and can carry it all day. If it was any bigger it would be too heavy. Any smaller and it couldn't do the job. I'm ordering my second!

The Avenue Tote is a great quality tote. The reason I’m returning item is the luggage sleeve is too wide for my 6” wide luggage handle. The bag slips off my suitcase.

I need a reasonable sized tote for two upcoming overseas trip and this is the best one I’ve found. I test packed it yesterday with a water bottle, plane snacks, makeup bag, my small purse, medications, extra leggings, shirt and underwear in case I need a quick change, my iPad and phone, a wide scarf in case I’m cold on the plane. Wow! With all that stuff it’s heavy but perfect for the flight. It becomes a much lighter day bag when I remove half the stuff — easy to carry all day with crossbody and handle options, plenty of room for sweater, camera, and a souvenir or two more can’t resist. I don’t need the padded sleeve but it’s a good organizational divider. Thanks, Baggalini. Thanks, Zappos.

Very light to carry. I love the padded sleeve inside, great for my iPad and kindle to remain scratch free. I like the front, it’s handy for house keys, even though there’s a key attachment inside. The nylon is easy to wipe off if it gets dirty. All around it’s a great tote!!!

I ordered 3 Baggallini bags to see which would work out the best. This was by far the largest of the three, and was definitely more "tote" than "purse." I wanted something smaller than a diaper bag, but big enough to carry around the kid essentials that I always have, plus a tablet or small laptop. This would definitely carry everything, but was larger than I was looking for. The blue is a beautiful shade, though!

I use this is a combination purse/diaper bag and I love it for this purpose. The pewter/cheetah print is way more subtle (a pleasant surprise!) than it shows in the picture. I love anything grey/gunmetal-colored, which is why I chose this color, and I can barely even see the print. I only gave 4 stars for style because let's be honest; it's not a Kate Spade...but it IS very attractive for such a utilitarian handbag. The many pockets are fantastic for the myriad objects I carry with me. Baggallini cleverly chooses light, contrasting interior fabric colors so you can actually SEE what you're looking for. My tablet fits perfectly in the velcro area and I've never had a problem with it staying shut. Diapers/wipes/changing pad fit well in the roomy rear exterior pocket; the 3 smaller exterior front pockets house hand sanitizer, tissues, and snacks for my kiddos respectively. Everything else has its own interior compartment and I manage to fit a makeup case, large wallet, and first-aid kit in the largest interior section with no problem zipping it closed or carrying it comfortably. If you have young children and want something less "diaper-bag" looking that still organizes the gazillion must-haves you carry with you on a daily basis, I highly recommend this tote!

This is the best tote I have ever owned, and I have owned many. The little zip pocket on the outside is perfect and roomy even for my iPhone 6 Plus. The outside pocket can be for tossing in keys and you can snap lock them to the purse. My only negative is the inside pockets. They are a little too shallow for pens and for other items. I wish they were deep enough for a phone etc as there is plenty of wall space below them.

Padded space does not accommodate a 15 inch laptop. The interior sewing was very shoddy compared to the 3 other baggallini products I have. When I tried loading it with iPad, wallet and a few others, it sagged and felt heavy on the strap. The hardware is great, the exterior fabric is great, interior not so much.

I have only had this bag a short time but I love it. My MacBook Pro, iPad, and notebook fit comfortably inside. The handles and the strap are well made and comfortable. I didn't realize it had gold was glitter but it's pretty and gives the bag a little pop.

I love this bag for travel! I'm taking it to Europe and It's just the right size with the right pockets in the right places. Being able to attach it to my carry-on is a huge plus. Definitely worth buying even for one trip but I will be using this for many years to come. I got the grey and it's a very nice neutral shade that will go with anything. The purple inside doesn't show when zipped although I really like the pop of color.

I've had this bag for over 4 years and, overall, it's the best handbag I've ever owned. I live in New York and it's perfect for schlepping stuff to work or wherever else I need to go. It's served me equally well on business trips and vacations in Europe. I love all the little touches like the ID card holder and key attachment (both of which I use every day). I also love that the material is so lightweight, stain resistant and easy to clean (I've actually thrown it in the washing machine a few times). Like other reviewers, I found the laptop sleeve to be poorly designed, so I used a seam ripper to remove the velcro closure and I just use that as a pocket for my wallet and sunglasses. (If I had my way there would be two slip pockets instead). I also find the trolley sleeve to be a tad too wide at the bottom. Other than that, I can't complain, and it's held up really well over the years. One of the shoulder straps started to come undone a couple of years ago so I got that fixed, and recently the top zipper for the trolley sleeve broke. Depending on the cost to fix the zipper, I might just get a new bag. Given all the use I've gotten out of this bag for the price, that's fine by me.

This is a great travel bag. Particularly like the sleeve that fits over my roller suitcase. It's also easy to clean (soft cloth with soap & water). The longer strap is great too! It's a little more grownup than the other floral patterned bags I've used for years!

Great bag with a lot of pockets and padded pocket for a lap top or tablet. Not too big but big enough for all you need on a plane. Nice yellow interior in the Portabella color, easy to find things.

Baggallini bags are all so well made with all the signature pockets and slots. My favorite part is the 'sleeve pocket' in the back so it can be slipped over the luggage handle and be more secure when needed. The longer strap allows for cross body if preferred. The shorter handles fit comfortably over the shoulder. It is a great size for carry on items; not too big, not too small. My small hand bag will fit inside which will be quite convenient for my needs.

Love this bag! It is big enough to fit everything yet uncumbersome. The color (beach) is the perfect neutral for every outfit! It went on Safari, the beach, and London and worked great at all locations!

This is a wonderful bag that is excellent for travel with so many convenient pockets and tether clip for wallet and keys. It is very lightweight even with everything necessary for travel. It has secure zippers inside and outside.

I like the size of this tote, not too big, not too small. I've been using it as my work tote, but I bought it to use for travel. My only complaint is the size and shape of the front exterior pockets. They are too small to hold a water bottle. Also, if you have large hands, you might have a hard time reaching all the way down into the two on each side of the front of the bag because they taper to a point. It does come with an interior padded section for a laptop or tablet, but I'd prefer it without that feature. It would have more room without it.

I have several bags in this pattern and this one definitely fills a need. Great for travel.
