I was looking for scoop neck, 100% cotton, short sleeve t-shirts for the coming spring (when it finally arrives). I remember Alternative being made in the US and the price point is pretty good. I didn't look closely at the fabric content, my fault, which is primarily polyester. Blech. The t-shirt is thin and longish (and I have a long torso, so that's saying something). The neckline is more crew than scoop. The tee is now imported, so Alternative is no longer manufacturing in the US. Boo. Summary: Meh. This is a thin, cheap feeling t-shirt or questionable construction quality that was made oversees under who knows what conditions (if that's important to you). It truly feels disposable. Not what I am looking for.

Alternative Apparel sizing is so random. In every other brand on the planet I wear S or XS. I have several AA shirts, 1 in S, 2 in M, and 1 in L. They all fit me the same. I can't explain it. I tried this in M, but it's too narrow in the shoulders and doesn't sit properly because it's loose in the body, but a little snug in the hips. For reference, I am 5'7" and 127 lb.

I wore the heck out of this t-shirt all summer. Fit great and washed well. It's definitely slim cut so order true to size or one up.

I am glad I ordered a size up. The shirt has a great fit. It's soft, but is thick enough that it's not see-through. If there were more colors, I would definitely order more.

This tee is well made. Not super thin/ see through like so many tees these days. It is very fitted and runs small.

Very cheap material. It's not even worth $3 in my opinion. I was actually surprised to find such bad quality. I bought this brand's T shirt before, it was nicely cut, perfect tailored fit, and of good quality; at least I felt worth it to pay $40 for a plain t-shirt back then. But not this one. I bought another one from this brand in the same order; same thing, very bad quality.

Super super small.

I bought this shirt in my normal size M and one in large due to reviews. I kept both. The medium does fit fitted, but not tight. I did not find it to be see through. The Large fits looser, but not too large. If you want a looser fitting shirt, go with one size larger. If you want a shirt more fitted to wear under another shirt, then get your size. I have washed both and they did not seem to shrink.

The shirts are very soft and nicely made. I ordered the medium. They are a little tighter than I like. Kept them anyway because they are great with a cardigan sweater. If I order some for summer, I'll order the large. 5'5 125 lb. wide back that's me. I do love Zappos !!

The reviews were misleading for me. Very thin, transparent and still to small by ordering up a size.

These are nice shirts. They are flattering, not baggy or skin tight. I'm definitely ordering more. Btw, I'm 5' and about 122 lbs and got a medium. A small may fit in the body, but then the arms would be too tight on me.

This is a great looking T-shirt. It runs a little small, I’m a size 4-6 and a med fits great - not too tight. The material is quite thin but not see through and is well made.

comfortable! This is a great top to toss on and look better than just a tee and jeans, but still be comfortable. Material is thick enough you don't have to wear a tank/cami under!

I love Alternative clothes. This cute tee didn't disappoint. I bought the red stripe tee in large I am 5'4" 145 muscular build. I washed and dried it. Still fit perfectly. I will be buying more.

Cute, basic tee. A bit long, but that’s a common issue for me and it’s not so long as to send back. I expected a shinier finish from this fabric blend; it looks closer to straight cotton. Overall, a keeper even if not my Ideal Tee.

The cut was smaller than I prefer. May want to size up if you don’t like tight T-shirts.
