I owned not one, but two pairs of these boots before putting the 2nd pair in the trash today and ordering a pair of Bogs as a replacement. The first pair of my boots had a defective buckle that wouldn't stay latched, so they were exchanged for a new pair thanks to Zappos awesome costumer service. I wore my second pair for about 8 months, though the buckle on those would often come undone with a decent walk to/from work. Today, the side of the boot near my foot/toes split open leaving a hole. They are a cute rain boot, and very comfortable (not clunky and restricting) with decent support, but I'm so disappointed I had 2 pairs break on me for the price. Sperry is supposed to be a reputable shoe, but these boots fall short. Try something else.

I loved these boots. I was crushed when they started slitting like crazy along the seams after just a month or two. They were pretty warm and comfy.

Once again, I'm totally floored by Zappos amazing customer service! I originally bought a size 9 (my shoe size is 8 1/2 or 9) and they were too big so I exchanged them for a size 8. They fit great and look very cute (I got the grey ones with anchors) but most importantly the return process was hassle-free and efficient. I received the new pair and my account was refunded for the return all within a few days. Please, don't ever change Zappos, you're doing business the right way and for that I am a forever customer!

I'm 5'3 - I usually wear a 7 1/2 or 8 in shoes. I ordered an 8 and they fit great. They are the perfect fit on my calf. There is enough room, but not sloppy. When I tried Hunter rain boots, they were way too tight! They are the perfect height on my calf. Not too short or too tall. They are very comfortable. I have worn them all day as a school teacher. They seem well made and have kept my feet warm and dry so far.

I bought these for a trip to New York. They were awesome! Comfortable and very, very warm. I wore them for 8 days in a row. I love them and they worked for me as a tourist.

Love these rain boots, they are generous in the calf area and very comfortable overall. They are also reasonably priced!

These are very comfortable boots! I tried several brands and Sperry won hands town for comfort and quality. I live in MO where we do get some rain, sleet, snow, and ice. The traction on bottom seems like its going to be good this winter.

I needed some tall, aggressive waterproof boots that also had some style for commuting in Boston winters. I tried Hunters but they were unlined and super rubbery and uncomfortable. I knew Sperry to be an excellent brand so I ordered these in my normal size 8, hoping for the best. They are great - fit true to size, are fully lined in fleece, cushy but firm sole, aggressive tread and the 13" shaft height means slush and salt doesn't spatter the back of my calves when I walk. When I walk my dogs I wear them with bare feet, and my toes aren't even chilled by the time I get home. I have muscular calves and there is plenty of room even with jeans tucked in, or with LL Bean hiking socks. Highly recommend!

It's a rainy day in NYC and my feet are finally dry! These are comfortable and fit well. My feet don't feel like they're sloshing around like they did in other rain boots. They are classy enough to wear with work clothes and with a thick pair of socks, I think they'll work well for a winter commute to and from the city. I opted for these instead of the hunter.

Really comfortable. Great for a downpour. Size 7 is true to size if you're a 6 1/2 or size 7.

I purchased these boots for our daughter-in-law for Christmas. She already knew they are great and asked if she could have them. I was thrilled because it made shopping for her easy. They are beautiful and look well made.

Really like these boots. The foot is roomy, the calves have room for pants and socks. I have normal calves...not skinny, not large and I have a room for socks over leggings or skinny jeans. These aren't difficult to get on or off. They look really cute with jeans.

I love Sperry products. I have boat shoes that I have owned over ten years and they are still going strong. So reliable and well constructed. These boots, however, are a big disappointment. I have owned them for under a year and they are already leaking through small cracks in the rubber. I use them as a basic walk to work boot when it is rainy and my feet get cold and wet. It's too bad- I won't be buying Sperry rain boots again.

I've worn these multiple times and have had no problems with leakage, or any tearing of the lining as some previous reviews stated. I think these are a great alternative to hunter boots because they are not and clunky and I feel are a less casual. I think the inside bedding is coushioned nicely in terms of rain boots. They arent a snow boot, so if you are looking for a very war, heavy duty, durable boot for blizzards, this isn't the boot. But for a quick shovel, or errands boot when it's rainy or snowy, this is a good choice.

The boots were ok, but a too wide on my calves. I like that the inside was lined. they were comfortable to put on but not to walk in.

Great looking boot! But also disappointing... I had them for just under a year when they started ripping at the quilted "seams." They're so so cute - I got tons of complements. I just wish they held up better!

I bought these last year and have loved them. Comfortable and stylish. However, the back seam has split and that is very disappointing.

I loved these boots until they started splitting. They split right along the lines of the design on the side of both boots. Sperry is supposed to be very reputable, but I would not buy these again. I love Zappos and their customer service!

I got these boots because of the pattern. They looked less like a rubber boot. I had them just under a year and the crease that creates the pattern started to split and there is no way to fix. Was very sad because it is on the outside edge so it is very noticeable.

These boots are comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry; however, my issue is with the splitting along the seams. I had an initial split occur only a couple months after purchase, near the exterior ankle. Now I have splits on both sides of each boot. I like the Sperry brand, but would not recommend this particular "quilted" style due to splitting.

Oh dear. I'd read so many reviews about how these boots split and whatnot, and had been feeling pretty good because mine hadn't. I bought them 2+ years ago. But I live in California where rain and snow are seldom issues. So I wore them maybe 6 times? Today, in a drenching downpour, I realized the back of the heel on one boot had split. Very disappointed because other than that, these are super comfortable, super warm, and kinda good looking. Sperry, you need to get your act together on these boots.

I usually love Sperry and when I purchased these I was excited that these fit my larger 15½" calves. I was very disappointed when, like others, the buckles would not stay closed. Then recently I notices that the seams have started splitting! This defeats the purpose of rain boots, right? I am now on the search for better quality boots, that will not include Sprerry.

I am sad to report that the pair I purchased also had a defective buckle. Although, I used black hair pins to keep it together. I have only worn my boots 5 times and they have split at the "quilted" seam. I love the style, but I am extremely bummed about the quality issues. I really expected more from Sperry.

I was absolutely in love with these boots for a year. One day I noticed that the rubber started to rip along the quilted lines. Also, along the bottom and the back of the boots the rubber started ripping. I'm incredibly disappointed considering the price. These boots really should have lasted longer than one year. Would not recommend.

I bought these boots to wear in the snow. I chose the quilted pattern because I liked the style. After wearing them for about 6 months, the buckle on one of the boots wouldn't stay buckled. Also, the seams of the quilted pattern came apart. I would not order the quilted Pelican boots. I'm sure the regular Pelican boots are fine, but again I'd wonder if the buckle would hold up.
