I am shoe whore and connoisseur. I LOVE these shoes. I can dress them up or down and they look great. The heel and the silhouette give them a cool, quality look that other boots don't always offer. Plus the shipping was fast and free! these are my go-to shoes now and so functional for an active life in NYC.

Outstanding boots! In the mid 1990's, Frye made a boot, I think they called "The Stoker". That boot was 99% identical to this Sutton booy, including the same color options. I had a black pair and also the dark brown pair. I wore them until the wheels fell off....several re-soles, etc...17-18 years...really! I am extremely happy Frye is offering this boot again. Once again, I have both colors. The one change from prior is that these boots do not have the loop on the back, which I see as an improvement. When you stand up, trousers always catch on a boot loop, meaning a person is frequently messing with their trouser legs to get them back over the boot. These boots do not have that problem. Thank you Frye for bringing this boot back.

Yes. Definitely five stars boots. Nice looking and very sturdy. Since there was not available size 8, I ordered 8 1/2 and still the fit perfectly. Heel highness 11/2" is also a added detail to this product. By the way I was very disappointed two years ago with midlace Arkansas I bought at Zappos. While taking off the boots the heel came off the sole and since I was in overseas I couldn't return them. The other side moves too. The shoe repair didn't do any good. Still have but don't use them. - useless. Anyway. Frye's flaw, Zappos great.

Very well made and comfortable boots. I needed something suitable for the office, but that would be comfortable enough to walk distances in. These take a little breaking in, but are truly a long lasting quality boot. And thank you Zappos folks - as always, you rock!

Really nice looking boots and loving the Whiskey color! Had a loose stitching issue with the first pair out of the box...and true to Zappos customer service reputation, I had NO problems on the return. I actually called as I was packing up the first pair and they pulled the other pair and offered to hand inspect for me! Less than 24 hours later they were on my feet. 2nd pair is more like what I was expecting from Frye. Can't say enough about the consumer experience. Not my first Zappos order and it's definitely not my last.

The quality isn't there. The dye job isn't well done, the cut edges have visible areas that were not dyed. Also the stitching had poorly done corners with hanging threads. Keep in mind this is a pricey boot, I expect better.
