Just ordered this for my fourth grader for school. He loves it! Love sternum strap that snaps in front so he can run with his backpack on without worrying about if falling off. The color and material are even better in person.

The backpack I ordered is a Burton back pack in a bluish tie die pattern. It is a standard sized, no frills, very light bag. It has a pocket in the front but no side pockets. It has a section inside that would easily fit a laptop or a tablet. Once over your shoulders, it adjust well and has a snap belt to better hold the back pack on your back. This feature is very helpful while traveling and maneuvering through airports and the like. I took this bag with me traveling and it was really perfect.

The product I am reviewing is the Burton Kettle Pack. First, the pattern of this back is something that reminds me of tie-dye, with shades of blue, brown and black. More exciting than the traditional black I might normally choose for this item and pretty subtle, especially from a distance. I am 5 ft. 8.5 inches and the pack fits me really comfortably. I used it for a weekend road trip and it was the perfect size for all of the essentials that I wanted quick access too-technology, additional clothing and snacks. I then used it to take an hour bike ride to grocery shop and fit 2 nights worth of groceries (including 3 king crab legs) in it. It seems like the construction of the pack is durable and I will look forward to seeing how it holds up this winter in the mountains. Otherwise, I don't have any negative comments and would recommend this kettle pack.

The Burton Kettle Pack that I have is a blue and black really fun print. I like the size and functionality of this backpack and I normally am not a fan of backpacks but this one isn't too bulky. Its light and functionally designed. Very sturdy.

The Burton Kettle Pack is a comfortable and versatile pack. We have the Tie Dye which is a cute print. My 12 year old daughter can use this for school. It fits a chrome book or lap top and other needs nicely. It is on the smaller size for a back pack, but that can be a plus depending on your needs.

My son needed a new backpack for high school, and surprise! A Burton Kettle Pack (in tie-dye trench) shows up at our door. My son LOVES this bag; the print is very cool and he got lots of compliments on it from teachers and fellow students on the first day. While I wouldn't use it to hold a stack of heavy textbooks or 3" binders, it is perfect for his school gear, which is a tablet-style laptop and small binders. Nicely sized pocket on the front, another nice inner pocket that is great for the laptop, and padded shoulder straps, which are unusual in lighter-weight bags but are (in my opinion) absolutely essential in a backpack.

The Burton Kettle Pack is awesome! This bag is adjustable enough that my 6'3" husband or my 5 year old can comfortably carry this bag. It has pockets on the inside to store the things that you would like quick access to and it is roomy enough to carry lots of books, clothes, etc. The bag also has lots of padding that rests against the back making it easy to carry the bag for long periods of time. Thank you for making a great bag, Burton!

This back pack is very comfortable. It's small and large enough to fit books and a tablet. Has a separate compartment for easier access to a small laptop or tablet. The front small pocket is also roomy enough to fit smaller items (i.e. headphones, pencil box). Would recommend to kids of age 8 - 18.

This bag is amazing. It has comfortable straps and padding on the inside which is great if you carry a lot of books or everyday items. It has a strap and a clip which I think is amazing. I know I have a problem with the straps falling off of my shoulders and with the clip that goes across my chest helps a lot. I would recommend this for someone who does a lot of traveling. It has a nice amount of room as well and the color is cute.

The Burton Kettle pack is a great choice for anyone needing to transport a laptop to or from work and school. I loved the blue and turquiose tie die trench print, as it adds eye catching interest! The laptop sleeve on the interior is my favorite feature, since it is well padded and a generous size compared to most backpacks. The sleeve is also snug enough to keep the laptop fairly stable during normal movement. And, there is still space enough for a normal supply of books, notebooks. The straps have a fair amount of adjustment available and there is a waist strap for added back support (with equipment loops). This is a classic with a twist that I really love- quality, lifetime warranty and Burton style.

I received my tie dye trench print Burton Kettle pack and my 8 year old daughter LOVED it. The turquoise color tie dye was cheery and stylish. The bag is great size for use as school back pack which is what we are using it for. It feels sturdy, well made and is comfy. My only suggestion is that they add side pockets for a SIGG/ water bottle!

My son was so excited when he saw the Burton Kettle Pack! He couldn't wait for school the next day. I like how light weight it is and simplified with only two zipper compartments. One smaller space for pens, keys, phone, etc and one larger, including a cushioned space for tablet or computer.

My son is a junior this year & is loving his Burton Daypack. The kettle pack is perfect for his needs - for school books all week long and during the weekend he uses it for football games - hauling dry, clean clothes for after games. He loves the bright color and all the pockets inside as well.

The Burton Kettle Pack is a good quality backpack, with no bells or whistles, but basic, useful features. It has one outside front pocket, one main internal compartment, with a laptop compartment. The laptop compartment is nicely padded and secure. The pattern is a black, grey and blue, and looks sort of like tie-dye, or snowflakes. The pattern is probably a little more suited to a kid, or teenager. Overall, this is a sturdy backpack with plenty of room for school supplies and/or a laptop.

I love this Burton backpack. Both the quality and design are great. This backpack is not huge, I would say it's a larger medium size. My other backpack (Orla Kiely) is tiny so this one is welcome. Other pros: is a separate slot for your laptop, and TWO zippers (must have). Cons: there is no water bottle side pocket.

The Burton Kettle Pack for a school back pack is great. It could use a few more pockets if you are doing something more than school with your backpack. The print and color sent to me are cool!

A beautiful backpack that is surprisingly sturdy and comfortable. The backpack can hold a computer and several notebooks/folders at the same time. It has a large enough outside pocket for storage of keys, cell phone etc. Overall I am pleased. The only thing I wish it had was a bit more padding in the shoulder straps.

A perfect day pack for everyday use. The straps are comfortable and the the material is very sturdy for active kids and adults. If I had to pick out one flaw, it would be that there are no side pockets to hold a water bottle.

I love the print and size, but I returned it, because there was no pocket for a water bottle or not even a small pocket in the inside for smaller items besides the laptop section.

I received the Burton Kettle Pack and it's very well made. Its comfortable with padded shoulder straps. It's the perfect size for any age student. Not too big or too small. Can fit books lunch and gym shoes. The zippers all have pulls on them for ease of opening. It does not have open side pockets that my kids like to put water bottles in etc. It only has one front zipper pouch and two divided sides on the inside. I received a blue and black palm tree design which my boys did not care for, but we are from Minnesota where camo is more instyle.. Lol! It seems very durable and should last a long time. I'm a pocket girl, for me I need more pockets, but I suppose it's less places to lose things for a younger student:)
