Jackpot! I am so thrilled with these shoes. Finally after years of searching, I've found the perfect work shoe for my problem feet and special needs feet. I work in an upscale restaurant and am required to wear dress slip resistant shoes - Athletic styles are forbidden. This has been a major problem because I have a narrow/low volume foot (and wear custom orthotics). The only shoes that have given me the support and fit I need plus the required slip resistance are athletic styles. Dansko, Klogs, Timberland, Keen, Shoes for Crews Dress styles have all been too wide even with my orthotics...my heels slides out. Even though I've never had luck with Dansko fitting, I decided to try it out because they were lace up and dress. I finally I hit the jackpot. This shoe is so comfortable, fits my orthotic, dressy, has the feel of walking on pillows and is one of the best slip resistance I've worn. Many shoe companies say they are slip resistance, but really aren't, or are for water but not oil and grease. They are a little big for my feet, but not as much as regular Danskos, and the problem solved by wearing thicker or two pairs of socks. I love these shoes! And just hope Dansko sells enough so they never stop making them. I can't tell you enough how happy I am. I found this shoe at a local uniform store in the Dansko catalogue two weeks ago. Zappos didn't have it two weeks ago so I had to order and wait two weeks. I love Zappos and prefer only to buy from them. Happy they now have the Adriana and will order another pair soon to make sure I have a back up.

The first day I didn't think these would be keepers. They are not stylish, per se (how many super good things for you are cool, really?), and after a few hours on my feet at the post office (yes, we have to ask if your items are fragile, liquid, perishable, all of it) my feet hurt, just like they do every day. However, I stuck it out another day and, guess what? These babies are comfortable now and my poor toesies are not scrunched and I can bend and lift and walk and stand for hours without my feet complaining. My thin ankles do move up and down inside the shoe, but it doesn't rub and is tolerable.

I wear a size 9, which I ordered. The length is great and with the laces, I can tie them tight (my feet are narrow). The arch support is very good, I don't use orthotics. I stand on my feet all day at work and I need a lot of support, which these shoes certainly do the trick. As far as style...well let's just say they are not very cute or sexy. But if you need a sturdy, supportive shoe, these are them (and the price is right).

I wish Dansko would have half sizes. I seem to be between 2 of the sizes and actually did try both. I kept the bigger of the 2 for toe room thinking I could just lace the shoes tightly. I was wrong. The shoes gave and stretched out very quickly. I miss the old golden gate collection. Still searching for a go to walking shoe that does not look like a sneaker.

I think I found my shoe. A series of Mary Jane styles, including Dansko, lead me finally back to a real shoe like this for the additional structure and support. Must wear med to thinner socks, not the thick type, or the back of the tongue will press on your instep. My instep is flattish so I was okay. Wish the sole had less of a rounded edge and more of a sharp edge to further prevent ankle rolling (welcome to middle age). And yes, they are good leather so you can polish and maintain them. Worth every penny.

Would be comfortable for someone who has flatter feet. I have high arches and no amount of "break in time" would have provided the support I need in shoes to be on my feet 10-12 hours a day and walking just as many miles in them. True quality of a Dansko shoe. They are a great shoe, just not a great shoe for me!

These are the most comfortable Dansko I have owned to date. To hit my 10k steps daily I needed more support for city sidewalk and concrete walking and I needed way more cushioning in the sole. Also, I needed more structure to keep my ankles supported. These shoes fit the bill.

I wore size 38 for over 15 years but since the plantar fasciitis kicked in along with a corn on my left foot due to the somewhat tight toe box, I switched to this lace-up style in a 39. They have a roomier toe box but also don't look as long and huge as 8 1/2s and 9s do. I'd like it if they fit my narrow ankle a bit more as they do tend to wiggle a bit there, but overall very happy with my purchase. Don't look as awful as the white tennis shoe look...more professional.

Yes, ugly they are. But they are incredibly comfortable. I got them for my sister who has very painful feet and wears about an 8 medium to wide and they fit fine. I was tempted to keep them with my 8 to 8.5 foot narrow and I found them very comfortable. My sister owns a restaurant and these shoes are very slip resistant. The leather will soften up nicely and form fit to the foot, and they are decently cushioned yet will remain supportive. The height is nice and you can always switch out the tie. Pick comfort and function over looks and get these!

If 60-year-old nuns from the 1930s are your shoe-style gurus, then aesthetically, you're going to adore this shoe. Otherwise -- it's kind of hideous. Unfortunately, from a wearability perspective it has everything I need -- stiff sides, deep foot bed that can accommodate an orthotic, shoelaces that don't slip around. I've got super-high arches and nothing else is working. This does not have the cushiony sole that would help my knees feel better, but it can accommodate both my partial orthotic *and* a Dr. Scholes cushiony insole, so it looks like I'm going to keep and love this pair, no matter how ugly. Damn, I hate my feet.

Not nearly acceptable as far as comfort and support. Leather upper is hard as a rock. Toe box is not high enough, so very confining, and the upward dip makes it even more uncomfortable. Footbed is totally inadequate and would need to be replaced with an orthotic.

After going through three pairs of shoes in two weeks, I have finally found the perfect shoes! I absolutely love love these shoes! They are A1 in all the areas, it feels like I am walking on air, no joke. I work 10 hour shifts. The style is not that bad as far as look, I am all about the comfort.

I always have a hard time finding shoes that are casual that lace up, with thick supportive soles and that are attractive. I need a shoe that I can wear 12 hours a day walking on concrete in a retail environment. Most of the time the shoes are not attractive or they do not fit properly. Dansko shoes are great with sizing, support and durability. They last a very long time and I wear them every day to work. I can also wear these with jeans. I wear a size 9 shoe and ordered size 39 in this shoe. They fit a little tight but I am sure that they will stretch out nicely for a perfect fit after a couple of days since they are leather.

Very well made and attractive shoes. When looking for comfortable shoes to work with dress pants these are the shoes. Although they look somewhat flat they do have a incline to them. Normally, I am a Munro fan but these are great for the price.

I wanted to love this shoe. I am a die hard Dansko fan from way back with a closet full of Danskos. I needed a flexible walking shoe, so turned immediately to my most reliable brand. This style (the Adriana) is very well made of very fine materials, so will be a great shoe for the majority of feet out there; hence, the five stars. My feet, however, need that extra toe room and arch support that I've turned to Dansko for all these years. Note that the toe box on this style is angled right where my little piggy needs to be sitting (and I'm rather attached to all five of my toes). I read more Adriana reviews and found a mention of the previous style (the Kip) and found a pair. Shazam! Dansko needs to bring back the Kip--room for all five toes, GREAT arch support, a very walkable footbed, and pretty snazzy style to boot.

While these are comfortable shoes they look more like an orthopedic type shoe. I would agree with many other reviewers that these would be a good shoe for long days of work where you are standing all day. They are not terribly stylish and I would not recommend as a more fashionable every day shoe.

I ordered these shoes for work after my older shoes from shoes for crews were causing intense knee/leg/lower back pain, and although I hate spending money on work I decided that I would buy these for my health (I am only in my 20s and knee pain is not usual for my age). My back didn't stop hurting right away, I wore them for the first week and the knee pain was still there but was reduced because these shoes were considerably more comfy than my older ones and although they are a little big I wear them with thick socks and the laces help keep them snug around my feet. I'm very surprised that my knee/back/leg pain has completely disappeared after wearing them for 2 weeks, and in a couple of months I will probably replace the insole and be good as new. These shoes have an athletic flair to them but are also formal enough for work and definitely cuter than clogs, very happy with my purchase.

These shoes were very comfortable when I first put them on. However, there was a relatively long breaking in period when I almost wrote Zappos or Dansko to see if I could somehow return them! I felt like my toes were being crushed in the front of the shoe because the stitching that attaches the part holding the laces is right over the ball of the foot. Luckily, since I didn't have any other fall shoes, I kept wearing them and they have softened up and molded to my foot really nicely. Now I think they are the perfect walking shoe (for me) - good support and great cushioning underfoot. I live in the city and have to walk everywhere so a good walking shoe is essential. They look like an athletic shoe but with a neater and slightly more formal appearance.

I would love to like these shoes, but they are too stiff and I don't dare keep them. They are loose around the heel, even though they are lace up shoes. Am glad that Dansko is making this kind of shoe. I will look for a softer shoe.

Disappointed in the look, and they feel clunky. On my foot the seam on the vamp rubbed my big toe knuckle. That may have softened and not bothered once the shoes were broken-in, but I don't want to work through that what if.

I'm searching for a great walking shoe for heavy-duty orthotics. The heel on this shoe is too loose, and I walk out of them. No go. Disappointed.

Ugh. I so wanted these to be the perfect shoes. But they only half are. I needed something really supportive, and these are. But I also needed not to look like a total frump in them, and these don't rise to that occasion. Unfortunately, they are are really ugly. The leather in the picture looks a bit distressed - it's not. So the seaming shows up a lot but not in a deliberate, fashion-statement way. And maybe I should have been able to tell from the picture that the soles scream comfort shoe (something about the appearance of the surface - maybe if it were more textured it would be better). They're too expensive for me to wear only when I really don't care at all how I look. I need something for work. I have another old pair of Danskos that are similar and were much less ugly, so I thought I was betting on a less risky horse. Alas, I'm going to continue shopping and most likely return these. But I guess I should note that if you definitely don't care about style, and only want super supportive, comfy shoes, these will rock your world. The cushioning and support is to die for.

Shoe runs very wide. I have a wide foot and ordered a medium width. I laced them up as tight as they would allow. I was afraid the leather would give some and the shoe would be too loose. Also I was surprised
@ the lack of soft, thick padding that I have found in Dansko dress shoes. I need good metatarsal support. The length was true to size, Was really hoping these were "the" ultimate, comfortable walking shoe. Unfortunately I will have to return them.
