I am a size 7 1/2 almost all the time. I ordered these in 7 1/2 and 8 because so many reviews said that they ran small. Though it was a bit narrow at first, I decided to keep the 7 1/2 because the 8's were slightly long. After wearing them once, the boots stretched to a comfortable width so I am glad I stuck with my true size. The style is amazing and they are incredibly comfortable. You do not feel like you are wearing a heal or wedge. The padded ankle and slouchy cut of the boot shaft are very flattering. They are nice and warm too.

Love these boots -- stylish while being warm and practical. I was worried about the heel being high but they are very comfortable! I've worn with jeans and dresses and they look great!

These boots are fantastic. I ordered a 9.5 (true to size), which is good with a thick winter sock. I am athletic and have muscular calves, and there is plenty of room in the sleeve to wear jeans or thick tights. The heel is just enough, but not too much - very professional and just a little sexy. I got plenty of compliments on them, and they were warm and comfortable to walk in (I walked about two miles the first day I had them with no issues). I would suggest these in a heartbeat!

Delighted with these boots in every way -- they don't have a zipper, but pull on easily and have room for my calves, without making my legs look fat(ter). Affordable, chic, comfortable, totally practical -- what's not to love?

I purchased these in black as well as brown and I'm so in love. Comfortable right out of the box. I tend bar and am on my feet all day. These are supportive for my 8 hour workday. I live in these boots.

Loved these so much that purchased the mid version of this in hawk.Cute think but can't cinch strap well an a lil glue on strap, other wise fast service! Next day. The mid version for sure has even more of a narrow in step then the tall! P.s last review and first time writing was suppose to remain anonymous an they didn't. Disappointed in that if they give option shouldn't.

I ordered these boots after getting off a brace for injury...needed a comfy boot for my ankle as well as weather proof. I have sized up a full size in all my Sorel boots. I'm a 9 & a 9 1/2 in running shoes. So I ordered a 10! Never am, but I have a high arch an instep. As well room for sheepskin insole for warmth. Found like the cushion one that it came with. Have room for thick socks or two for severe cold weather. It's not to much of a heel at all. They are so sleek an cute not clunky. I'm 37 & still look adorable for my age with skinnys sweaters for casual, but in snow weather would wear even to casual dinner. Very comfy, but for sure if like me, size up. In the Trovioli 11 bootie ran small to & the Joan of Arctic 11 boot did a 10 for room for thick sock. A little roomy, but need for high instep that an sheepskin insert or heavy sock would fix. This boot have a little over thumbs with. The Joan of Arctic a little big but tried a 9 1/2 an a little tight with thick sock. They aren't insulated like others, but leather is thick! And beautiful in a rugged way, but beautiful. Only thing is think the material of buckle strap is a little cheap for a nice leather boot. Wish it just was leather or a woven sheen. Sleek, cute for fall/winter if layer warm socks! Customer service is excellent and return policy as well as fast receiving.

I absolutely love these boots! These boots are super cute and very comfortable. I am usually a solid size 8 but went half a size bigger as recommended by other customers and according to the Sorel size chart. They fit beautifully! I am very glad that I went with the 8½. They slide on easily over jeans and have a stylish slouchy look as another review said. I would definitely recommend these boots!

I wanted a pair of boots to dress up outfits (mostly jeans and leggings) for cold weather Wyoming. I did not want a high heel and wanted something waterproof and with some traction. I ordered these and they are perfect. They felt a little tight when I first put them on but easily adapted to my foot and are so comfortable! I ordered true to size - don't know if I could get a heavy sock on with them but didn't miss heavy socks during this most recent cold spell. The boots were warm and comfy. They aren't tight on the calf and have a fun, little bit of a slouch look. I am very happy with them.

Love these boots! Very comfy and stylish. I have medium calves and had room to wear over jeans easily. I also have a very high arch and was still able to pull on pretty easily though the boot is a little snug across instep. I am sure that boot will stretch some after wearing.

I love these boots, I feel great when I'm wearing them! They are not tight around the calf, they slouch a little. The wedge heel height is perfect. I ordered the size I normally do and they fit perfect.

SO cute, but too narrow; run long; Sorels used to fit me perfectly, but every pair I've tried on this season has been too narrow.

I want to love these boots - they are stylish and suitable for work yet have great traction in the snow/ice. However, they run small and narrow on my foot (Sorels typically are big and wide so I expected them to fit like that) and there's a seam that runs along the top of the foot that rubs and presses into my foot. I recommend sizing up, especially if you have wide feet and/or high arches.

First pair ripped on the side after 3-4 wears. Zappos was awesome and immediately sent me a new pair. Cute but not as warm as I'd thought they'd be, more for fashion and less for function. Have to pull out the old Sorels when it gets too cold and snowy. Plus is they are fairly easy to get on and off.

These boots are average looking, but pretty comfortable--even for my chronically aching feet. I can walk around town a long time in them. They are well cushioned and supported. But, there is no zipper which is a drawback. And, I was disappointed to discover that the "adjustable" calf buckle is impossible for me to budge once the boots are on my feet. I am petite (5' 0", 105 pounds), and don't have large calves. The buckle is not notched. You need two hands to force the stiff canvas strap to slide through a cinch device which is difficult. I can barely get it to move even when the boots are off my feet, let alone reach to the outside top of my calves with two hands to tighten it once they are on. So, the top of the calf looks a little larger on me than I would like. These boots are definitely not dressy, but , are suitable for casual day time use. They are medium weight . So, if you are looking for a lighter, packable boot for travel these would not fit the bill. I send most boots and shoes right back due to the inadequate comfort level (did I mention that I have achy feet?). But, I will keep these for daily walking because my feet aren't screaming bloody murder when they are on for awhile.

I really want to love these boots. They are great in style, and look good with skinny jeans or any outfits. Unfortunately, they are so narrow that they gave me blisters on the top of my feet after I wore them for about an hour. I had to return them. I do not know if ordering half a size bigger than my normal size 6½ would help.

These are lovely boots - soft inside and out, waterproof, and stylish! What more could you want in a winter boot? Well, my narrow feet wanted a narrower fit. I tried switching socks, inserting insoles. Nothing worked. My heels still slipped terribly. So sad to send these back.

Really cute boots, but I have wide calves and they are not wide enough to allow for wearing with slim jeans. Leggings are okay, but just not diverse enough for me so I'm going to return them.

I really like these. I bought them last winter and am excited to wear them again this season. Only complaint is that they are pretty tall and there's no zipper to help get them on.

Oh so close! Beautiful, easy on/off despite the lack of zipper and very comfortable overall, with enough room for my toes, EXCEPT the seam connecting the shaft to the foot area. After only a couple of minutes that seam started to rub against my instep. I know I would have a blister if I wore them and did regular NYC walking.

These boots look great. I ordered for my trip to Dublin next month, where it will be chilly and wet. I'm wearing them today for the first time and they hurt the top of my foot --right where the seam is at on the shoe of the boot. I thought at first I left cardboard in, but it's just that stiff. I took advice of others and ordered up. I'm a 7.5 but got 8. Wearing thick socks, but my heel still lifts up. I'm shocked no one else has an issue with the hard seam. I'm no stranger to uncomfortable shoes, I regularly wear 4" heels, but this is annoying. These boots are perfect except for that top seam. It's bruising my foot.

These are beautiful boots! Well made and stylish. My only issue is they are a little snug around the top of my arch - I wore them to work and had to take them off to give my feet a little break every now and then. I normally wear a 5.5-6 and ordered the 6. They fit very well otherwise. I also have very skinny calves and these were adjustable enough.

Definitely no question about it get your larger size! I wear anywhere between a 6 and a 7. I got a 6.5 only because they were out of size 7. I had to return my 6.5 because they were just too small. The calf circumference is rather small as well. They fit my calf but tinter than I prefer. However, it seems as though they will stretch out after wearing them for awhile. The buckle loosens but it doesn't really do much to the circumference. I had to order these from another site so that I could get a size 7. They are very cute and comfortable though! I would recommend them for sure.

I read every single review before deciding which size to go with and still ending up having to return them. I LOVE the style-I was a bit worried that at 5'1 they would hit at an awkward spot but they fall a few inches below my knee and are so cute. The heel was so comfortable and I couldn't even tell it was there. I usually wear either a 6.5 or a 7. I figured I'd size up to the 7 after reading the reviews but it still wasn't enough. The problem is with my high arches. The instep (vamp) on the top of my foot was so tight they were painful to wear. I never have worn a 7.5 shoe but I just ordered these in that size and will be returning the size 7. Cute, but definitely order a full size larger if you have high arches. So glad I got these from Zappos where returns are easy and free!

Look: the style looks kinda like a cowboy boot. Sizing: I am normally a size 8.5, I ordered 8.5 and a 9. I thought both fit very well, the 8.5 was a tad bit more snug around the upper foot and lower ankle. Looks-wise, they were very slightly different. The smaller one looked more fitted around the ankle. All in all, I thought the size 9 was a better fit and feel and look. It feels roomier but in a good way. For overall, I give just 4 stars because the rubber heel is somewhat more soft than I'd like it to be. You can kinda feel it bending like an eraser. I can't imagine it is very good quality rubber. I love this boot though and will be a getting a second pair just like it for when I retire the first pair.
