Very well made shoe, and the arch support is surprisingly good. The style is love-it-or-hate-it; on me, it was too matronly, but with the right tights and a cute skirt these shoes could look terrific. However, the fit was all wrong for my foot. I need a shoe that's wider at the ball of the foot and narrower at the heel; this shoe was tight at the ball of the foot and much too wide at the heel. If you have relatively slender feet with little variation in width, this may be just the shoe for you.

These are beautiful and well made. Stylish and practical. I love my Stella Oxfords! I do recommend that a pair of trouser socks be worn the first time.

This shoe is very very high quality - the leather is very smooth and soft inside - can even wear barefoot. Great purchase and well worth the money.

Love these shoes. They're especially cute with cropped pants. I've worn them 3-4 times a week for the last few weeks and they are VERY comfortable. The heel is nice and stable and a very comfy height. I hate teetering through the grocery store over lunch breaks and getting my skinny heels stuck in parking lot cracks! Another great Frye shoe.

With the price tag I was a little bit hesitant on purchasing but, after taking the plunge I have no regrets! They were comfortable right out of the box and I received many compliments! I usually have a hard time walking in heels but these shoes made me even forget I was wearing any! Amazing fit and whiskey is a beautiful color.

These shoes are amazingly comfortable for heels. The leather is soft, but it does not lose its shape around the toe, so it remains a dress casual shoe that goes well with jeans, pants, and dress/tight combos. My only teeny complaint is that the laces are just a tad long. So, you end up with a big, floppy bow. I got the black ones, and I am picky about black leather, but with these, the leather quality matches the price. I really want the brown ones now!

Lovely shoe. For me, a slightly lower heel would have been ideal, and they had to go back. The heels are 2.5 inches. 1.5- 2 works for me.

Wow, I don't know if I've ever had such a comfortable pair of shoes right out of the box. I don't usually wear heels, and I was worried the heel on the Stella would be too high for me, but I actually feel perfectly balanced, and almost like I'm not wearing shoes at all. The leather is so soft and just completely hugs my foot. They look terrific with jeans and with dressier work pants. And even though the shoes covers most of your foot, somehow my feet seem smaller and slimmer in these. I got it in Whiskey which is a beautiful color.

Love, love, love this shoe. I got it for work but find it pairs great with jeans too. Versatile for every cut of work pants I own from skinny ankle, to straight leg to trousers. No breaking in needed. A polished, classic/modern blend with amazing comfort.

I am fussy about shoes and have had these about a month. These are my first experience with Frye and won't be my last. I wear size 9 so I'm always looking for shoes that don't make my feet look too big. The Stellas are comfortable, stylish, and elegant. The leather is so soft and seems to hug my foot. The heel is just the right height for comfortable walking and standing. I have them in black and whiskey. LOVE the whiskey color! I have gotten many compliments on them.

I am not inclined to purchase more than one of the same item in a different color, but I did buy a second pair of Stella Oxfords because I liked the first one so well. I would consider buying a third if there were a wider selection of colors. Because I have to stand for much of the day in my work and have problem feet, I generally go for shoes designed for comfort, although I'd prefer to go for cute. These are quite comfortable, easy to walk in, and fit my high-arched, bunion-afflicted feet. They are a classic style and are beautifully made. I checked with my local shoe repair to make sure that they could be resoled locally, and got the okay. I highly recommend this shoe!

Straight out of the box they felt amazing. Felt like leather cushions hugging my feet. They are my first Fryes and will not be the last. My feet are on the wide side but I wear M's and these shoes fit just fine. So happy with my purchase! I want more Frye's!

Very beautiful, comfie shoes. I would have kept them but it didn't look like the soles would make it through a rough winter (especially at this price). If you are contemplating these shoes, go ahead and order them, you will probably love them.

It's a beautiful shoe made with high quality leather and a solid heel. The toe, however, was too round for me. I was hoping to wear these shoes to the office with my work outfits, but the rounded toe looked too casual with tailored trousers and made my size 7 1/2 feet look oddly short and stubby. Will continue my search for a dressy stacked heel oxford.

So cute I bought them. Even cuter on my feet. These are a great answer to men's inspired oxfords but with a feminine twist. The leather is very good quality, soft and I love how the toes get darker in an almost ombre way. I agree the laces are freakishly long. I too tied and tucked them back under the criss-crossed laces. It's actually a nice look! Day 1 - I have had them on at the office for 7 hours and they're still comfortable after lots of walking up and down the stairs. These are keepers!

Lovely shoes, very comfortable right out of the box. The laces that came with the shoe are very thick and coarse, does not look good at all. I will be replacing them with a proper waxed cord lace.

I got these in dark brown and black and went with the dark brown. The black ones were too school ma'am-ish. Today is the first day I'm wearing them and so far, they feel great! (I had debated for a while on whether to keep them because I couldn't decide whether they'd end up dowdy looking and I didn't want to make a mistake at this price.) The leather is nice and soft and the shoe very well made. I do worry that the sole will wear down quickly on Manhattan streets.

Nice shoes, got the Whiskey color as goes with most anything. Good heel height for work at 2-1/2 in., looks great with trousers and the style makes your foot look small if it's big. Only drawback is the left shoe makes noise now when I walk and I've only had them 3 months plus I only wear them in and around the office. Not sure why. It's not my socks, but for $228 they shouldn't make noise when I walk. Oh well they were exactly what I wanted; I just didn't anticipate the squeak.

WOW What a Disappointment! If you were a fan of the Frye Carson Oxford, these are not in the same league: Made in China; not Mexico. Thin leather; not as well constructed; half size smaller than the Carson. Back they go!
