I recently moved to a wooded wetlands and I walk my dog (who is learning to not pull on the leash) every morning. I needed a boot that was not only good for walking miles in at a time, but also had good grip. I previously bought the Kamik Jennifer boot, but I tested the grip on a wet kitchen floor and on the wet bathtub floor as well. My foot slipped quite a bit, so back they went in exchange for these. They aren't as cute, but they have full range of flex in the ankle with no restriction or soreness. The first time I wore them I walked 2 rainy miles and wasn't sore the next day. Happily, when I tested these boots in the same wet places in my house, they squeaked like a tennis shoe on a wet court. They provide wonderful grip. I have worn them in the tub twice giving my dog a bath and they did a perfect job. They definitely hug my calf, and my right foot is bigger than my left. I discovered this was a problem when I wore them once with no socks. The inner lining got wet (dog bath time) but it wasn't soaking my feet. But when I tried to remove the boots, it took me a couple difficult minutes to reclaim my wet right foot from the grippy Neoprene inside of the boot. I've since remembered to wear them with pants and socks since and had no trouble getting them off with a left toe to the right heel and vice versa. Really enjoy these boots and looking forward to the rainy season.

Finally! This is the perfect insulated, waterproof boot! I'm an active mom of two young boys, so I love that these slip on and off. We live on a farm in upstate NY, so I wanted something that was rubber all the way up, insulated for winter wear, but cute enough to wear to town if needed. These work great for all! I'm usually a size 10/Euro 40, but these size 9 are Euro 40. The 10's would slip off if I didn't wear a sock, but the 9's are comfy with no sock or with my thickest DarnTough socks (across the foot feels a touch tight, but my toes still have room to wiggle). I've worn them on 60-65 degree days with no socks and didn't feel too hot. They're relatively light wight, and bonus that they come in cute colors! Highly recommended!

I love these boots! I have been wearing them now for several weeks. I agree with a previous reviewer that they do seem a little heavy when say compared to Hunters; however, this is secondary to the warm and cozy neoprene lining, so I'll gladly deal with the extra weight. I ordered Hunters at the same time and was able to try them on simultaneously. The Bogs won hands down on comfort, I have worn them all day many days in a row with comfort. And maybe most importantly my feet stay nice and dry! Which in western Oregon is a must, as these are worn almost daily in the winter. I am a true 7.5, sized up to the 8 and they fit nicely with a thick pair of wool socks. Highly recommended.

This is a very solid, sturdy boot. It is true to size, so in my case I am a 7 in flats or heels (no socks worn) but I got a 7 in these boots and they are pretty snug. I can wear thin socks with them but not thick/wool. They are lined in that nylon/nyoprene/ whatever fabric throughout so they stay really warm and it isn't really necessary to wear a thick sock. They are also a snug fit on the leg, which doesn't prevent you from getting in/out of them easily, but it does mean that only super skinny jeans or tights would fit inside the boot. I have an average size calf and have never had calf/boot problems before so I think this is a pretty standard problem. They are really cute, don't make your feet look huge and the dark gray literally matches everything. The handles are super sturdy and make it really easy to put on! Can't wait for some rainy weather!

For some reason I really wanted to like these boots, but I could not! Overall these boots are huge! Not so much in the sizing, but in the style. They are very tall, very thick material, very heavy. Wearing them I felt like a toddler who had put on her daddy's boots. Either that, or a fireman on the way to a 3-alarm fire. I am 5 feet 5 inches tall, slight build. On me, these were just way more boot than I could handle. But I can see how many people would love these high-quality boots. Depending on your needs, these could be great boots. Just not for me.

Man, these boots are heavy and very large looking around the foot. I decided to return them and try another style. The heaviness makes them clunky to walk in. Plus, I don't need any extra weight when I'm toting my six year old around on the cargo bike.

Love these boots. Very warm for our Colorado wintry spring weather & mud season. Stylish enough to run in and out of stores. The buckle on the back is cute but the tab could be longer...it flips out of the buckle often.

I would highly recommend this boot. Very well made and great quality. I have very narrow feet and thin calves and this style is much more fitted than some of the other Bogs which works for me. I would go with a slightly looser style if your calves/feet are on the wider side.

I love these boots! They are easy on/off, comfortable and though a bit snug in the calf seem to be stretching a bit. They have much better support than others that I have tried and give well when you walk without rubbing. I am usually a size 8½ so I first ordered size 8 so as not too be too bulky looking. They were very comfortable but only could wear thinner socks. I exchanged them for a size 9 and I really love them. They are easy to clean up, too!

I'm very impressed with these boots. They are easy to pull on, yet they provide nice-feeling support, particularly over and behind the heel. They are comfortably roomy, yet my feet don't move around in them. They are very practical: 100% waterproof, and warm -- yet they are just good looking enough to leave on for work or an evening outing that doesn't need to be dressy. The tread is excellent. I wore them recently on a day with freezing rain, and could confidently walk on wet slush and ice. Outstanding quality and comfort.

I wear shoe size 7½-8 and have an ave calf size (most tall boots fit). I purchased these Bogs Tacomas (size 8) with Bogs Rider Emboss Solid Tall (size 8), Hunter Original Tour (size 7), and Hunter Boot socks (size medium). Bogs Tacoma boots fit best (keeping them),the Emboss ones were a bit larger (even though both size 8)! Hunters were too small (size 7) (returning). Bogs Emboss boots look sort of cheap to me (returning them). Especially the seam from the boot mold that runs down the top of the foot area. Both Bogs calf size fit well with or without jeans tucked in. Hunters would not have allowed anything but tights or very fitted jeans. Overall, Hunters look and feel slimmer than the Bogs (this is the style - .not the size). No insulation or padding in Hunters and feel flimsy..Bogs feel substantial and have some padding/insulation a nice feature. Hunter Boot Socks are nice. They fit perfectly. I will not need to use them in the Bogs but I am keeping them to use with another pair of boots. Probably socks would be a good idea for the Hunter boots to compensate for flimsy feel and lack of insulation. With socks and jeans they would not fit.

These boots were a Christmas gift for my daughter in law. She loves them however we did need to return them for one size larger. She always wears a size 8 but the 8 was too snug. The size 9 fit great and allowed space for warm socks needed in Minnesota. Thanks, Zappos, for excellent customer service!

I have never previously owned rain boots and waited a long time to buy these. The only thing I have to compare these to are the regular Hunter rain boots, which I only tried on, and never wore for an extended period of time. I wear a 7.5 in asics running shoes, 7 usually in dress shoes, and when I tried on Hunters, the 6 was the closest thing to fitting me, and I ordered these in a 7 and they are PERFECT. They're definitely warm, not flimsy, and the handles are helpful for getting them on quickly. They're easier to get off than other reviewers have said, in my opinion. They are snug on my calves, but I have worn both leggings and jeans under without a problem, and personally I like the look of the snug leg better than the Hunters, which made me look like a child trying on a parent's boots. And although I only walked in the Hunters for maybe 10 feet a few times, the Bogs are by FAR more comfortable, and I have worn them walking over a mile at a time and they're just as comfortable, with very reasonable arch support. My only complaint, and it's not much of one, is that they look much glossier in the photos than they do in real life, although it's not a true matte finish, either. Just know they won't be shiny if you order them, but given that I still wholeheartedly recommend them.

Sweet Puddle Stomping fun. Stylish enough to wear shopping. These are the only boots I own that I did not have to put arch supports into. Like all other tall shafted boots I wish they were a bit wider in the calf area.

You will fall in love with these boots. They are warm, durable and fashionable. I'm a 9 wide with high arches and sized up to a 10. I'm certain I wouldn't have been able to fit in the 9. It's snug to put on but comfortable. For those who haven't worn rubber type boots before, it will be an adjustment since the ankle doesn't bend like fabric/leather. I've worn in cold, rainy weather so far and not a hint of coldness or dampness. The neoprene is fantastic.

It's a lovely boot with a lot of space in the toe area. However, the calf part of the boot is very tight. Therefore I will be returning this boot. But I really do like the style and would recommend this for someone with a smaller calf than average.

These are so pretty, functional, and warm! They are perfect for working out in the yard and traipsing through wet soccer fields to watch your kids, but they are cute enough to wear with skinny jeans while you're out on the town, too. Love my Bogs!

I have a size 12 foot and have a very hard time finding fashionable shoes. These look really good, they're very comfortable, and the shaft hugs my leg (most boots have a shaft that is too wide for me). Definitely recommend!

I usually wear a 7 and this Bogs style is true to size. I decided to go with the Hunter Pillar Red instead - but I do love these Bogs too! Much warmer and substantial than Hunter, but the popularity of Hunters won out.
