If you have narrow feet, this will be your favorite shoe ever! I normally wear a size 7 - ordered a 7.5 and it fits like a glove. The most comfortable flat I've ever owned - no heel rub or hot spots. I have a very narrow/skinny foot and wear the strap on the 2nd to last or last hole. I can see how it would be tight on an average foot. But if most flats have a gap on your narrow foot, you'll be thrilled with these!

These are so close to amazing. Great quality, super soft stretchy leather, hand-made feel, and simple mary jane style that I'm always looking for. Two problems resulting in a return on these: One is that the "handmade" thing went a little too far and one shoe had a more worn-in look than the other, to the point where they just looked uneven. I ordered another pair, and this pair had the same issue, though a little less noticeable, and I would have kept them if not for issue two -- the fit is just not quite right. Another reviewer remarked that these were perfect on her narrow feet. I have wide feet...and have to agree with her! These had a little extra room past my big toe, but were a little too snug around the toe itself, so my big toe kind of pressed against the leather and my feet didn't have room to spread out. Also the flat leather outsole makes these a little impractical for every day urban wear...so sad! Back they go. Still -- if you have narrow feet and are okay with the zero-traction thing, these are a beautiful and well-made pair of shoes, try them.

Let me start by saying I love the look of this shoe! So super cute. Pretty comfy too. I run a pretty "true" size 9. That being said...the shoe fit moderately well, a little snug. The bummer, however, is the darn strap that run across the top is way too short! I have very 'normal' size feet (not too wide, high arch, not 'chubby' across the top of my foot) and I could not for the life of me buckle these. I have returned the 9 for a 9.5 and we'll see if that works. If you have 'fat' feet...don't buy these!

I love these shoes. I was looking for a leather-SOLED shoe for line and swing dancing on tile floors and these are perfect. They are pretty slick on carpet but can be roughed up. I ordered a 6 because I have one foot that is a 6 and one that is a 5.5. They fit perfect.

Love the shoe! But then I love Bed Stu shoes. I took the advise of other reviews and ordered a size larger than I usually wear. Fit perfectly. It is slick on the bottom, I would recommend adding a non slip sticker.

I originally ordered these in a size nine because people said to size up, but they were too big! I returned them and ordered in an 8.5, which is my size and they fit perfectly. I have them in the tan rustic color and they are such a beautiful brown. The only issue I have with them is that the soles are very slick, as others have mentioned. I've had to add sole grips so I wouldn't be sliding around as I walk.

Got this shoe in the tan color and wore it until it, literally, fell apart. Super comfortable, easy to dress up or dress down. Stood up well to daily wear in a variety of conditions. The soles are a little slippery (not much tread) but this is easily remedied. Highly recommend these!

These shoes feel so amazing on my feet. The quality of the construction is amazing. The style is a classic so they'll never go out of style. They do run small. I usually wear an 8 1/2 to 9. I ordered the 9 in these and they are a tiny bit small. The front of the shoe isn't quite tall enough. The length is right, but it rubs on the top of my toe. The leather is so soft that I think they'll stretch a bit and be just right so I'm keeping the 9. I think a 9 1/2 will be too big once they are broken in. Also, as you can see from the images, there is NO grip from the sole of this shoe. They are slippery even on carpet.

I have never written a review, but these are amazing. Stylish, unique but the biggest surprise was the incredible comfort! I ordered a second pair in a different color. Considering stockpiling for a lifetime supply. I wear a 5 1/2 but the 6 fit perfect. You won't regret!

These shoes are adorable and seem like they would be comfortable but they run very small. I am typically a size 5.5 or 6. I originally ordered these in size 6 and they were way too small. I then ordered them in a 6.5 but they were still way too small. I have never worn a size 7 shoe, but if available, and I am going to try one last time and order them.

I was looking for flats for summer but wanted something different than the typical ballet flats everyone is wearing. These are perfect. I ordered the 8. They fit true to size for me but the strap is a bit short. I was able to buckle on the first hole and the leather is soft so I'm sure stretch a little over time. The distressed leather is perfect for a casual or boho summer look.

These shoes are the most perfect shoes I have ever put on my feet. They feel like a second skin and they are beautiful and stylish. As to sizing, I am a true 8.5, but needed a 9 in this shoe. The 9 is perfect.

I love these shoes! You have to get past the well-used look and because each shoe is different, they do look a little odd at first. Comfortable...fun...and worth it!

Love the look of this shoe but it was way too small. I wear a 7.5 or 8. I ordered a 7.5 but very small. I am hoping someone returns an 8 or 8.5 so I can get another pair. I just think they are really adorable. I can't really rate the comfort or overall fit until I get a pair I can wear. Looking forward to doing so!

I have a mixed reaction. The shoes are comfy and fit well, and I need flats due to a rotten bad back. But the distressed leather is not what I might have chosen. Who wants to wear shoes that look old and worn? The photo on the site was not enough for me to know how odd the shoes looked. Still, I kept them, and I don't hate them.

I had to return these because they were too small; silly me - I didn't read the BedStu site where they recommend sizing up one full size. They're typical cool looking shoes by BedStu - aged and nice leather and well-constructed! I wish they had fit but at my regular size 11 there is nowhere for me to size up to in this brand. Note that I have several other BedStu shoes and those were true to size.

These are great shoes, but there is an issue with the way they are labeled. Other reviews have said they run small, but I believe this is due to in inconsistency with the label. I bought a 7 1/2. The box says US 7.5, UK 5.0, EUR 37.5, CM 24.5. The label inside the shoe says US 7.5, UK 4.5, EUR 37.5, CM 24.5. There really should not be a difference between what is on the box, and what is on the shoe. I have brought this to the attention of Zappos. I am a perfect UK 5, and I feel that the UK 4.5 is the correct size, not the UK 5.0, which is on the box. They may stretch, because they are very nice leather. The look is super,with distressd leather. I haven't yet decided if I will keep them, but they are so cute! If you decide to get them, and you can relate to UK sizes, I would say what is on Zappos for a 7.5, is UK 4.5, but for these shoes only, because a UK 5 generally translates into US 7.5. I actually feel a UK 5 is a little between a US 7 and 7.5, but closer to a 7.5. I have many pairs of shoes I have bought in London over the years, and a UK 5 generally translates into EUR 38.

I'm trying to break in to the whole "flats" thing. Looking for a shoe I can wear when it's gauchely Spring-like for boots and a stretch for sandals. These were a big No. I felt like Holly Hobbie. It could be because I have huge feet (9.5) so if you have Cinderella feet, these may be cute on you. The quality was excellent, fit comfortable and true to size. Just not my style.

Be warned--the shoe labeled as size 11 is actually a European 41, which is at best a 10 or 10.5. There is also a very strange chemical smell emanating from the shoes, probably due to whatever process was used to "distress" the leather. Very nice looking shoe and well made, from what I can tell. But you will need to size up to get a good fit.

I first ordered my normal size, 9. Way too tight so I ordered a 9.5. It came the next day so I still have both at home right now. The different between the 9 and 9.5 is barely noticeable. The toe area of the 9.5 is still quite tight. I feel silly returning and ordering again. I've never been a 10 in any other shoe. Not sure what I'm going to do (try a 10 or not?). Style-wise, they are adorable though. A nice change from a plain old ballet flat.

I'm obviously the odd one out... Based on numerous reviews here (and elsewhere on the Web) stating this shoe ran very small, I ordered up. Big mistake. Either Bed Stu is churning out new stock with more accurate sizing, or I received a freakish pair. I wear a 9 in most brands but ordered in a 9.5 and....this was way too big and long. I also read the strap is so short some girls couldn't even get it to buckle across their foot. I had the opposite issue--too long of a strap and if it stretched just a little I'd have to add an additional hole. Granted, I have low instep. But I wouldn't advise ordering a full size up. As for the shoe itself, I was underwhelmed. I love beat up vintage leather (a la Freebirds or Frye) but the pair I received wasn't very weathered and looked exceptionally dull. Just like a regular old dark gray leather flat. Tho my biggest gripe was the stiffness. One of the beauties of a quality Mary Jane or ballet flat is how soft and pliable they become, virtually conforming to your unique foot. This is not the first pair of Bed Stus I've tried where the leather is tough and stubborn. I'm ok with that in a rugged boot but a stiff, non malleable May Jane is always uncomfortable and I found these rubbed badly against my heel and across the toe bed. Painful. They weren't gonna give no matter how long a break in so they were promptly returned. I'll never give you on "artisan" brands but Bed Stu hasn't converted me with this offering.

Measure twice, cut once. I ordered three pairs of these, and they were all comically mis-sized and poorly constructed. The 7 was a 6½, the 7½ was a 6, and the 8 is close to a 7, but one shoe is distinctly bigger than the other and misshapen with a huge bump in at the toe, and straps that should be an inch longer. Unfortunately, I am stuck with the 8s because the soles got scratched up when I tried them on. It is not trendy and handmade, it is sheer incompetence on Bed Stu's part. One star for the distressing which looks great, but most companies that charge this much for a pair of shoes have figured out the fine art of making them.
