As a wildlife photographer I needed a pair of pants that were resistant to briars, but in a light color for hot weather. I have 3 pairs of the Keb style that I really like, but didn't need anything quite that expensive, and the Keb's are just a bit short on me. I'm 5'7", 134 lbs with long legs and somewhat straight hips. These fit really well in the 38. They are very long, but it was easy to hem them, and I'd rather be able to shorten them than have them too short. I ordered the curvy fit at the same time since the model for that style looked like she had a figure similar to mine, but the waist was just a bit tight and the hips were too big. If you look at the Savanna color for both these pants and the curvy fit, the color depicted for this style is accurate, the curvy fit pants were also this greener color, so the if you buy the curvy fit you will get the color shown in the regular fit photo, not the color shown for Savanna for the curvy fit. Fjallraven pants are expensive, but when you look at the work and technical fabrics that go into them, they are not over-priced. My everyday pants are the Prana Halle in 4 Long, which I also have to shorten. The Prana's would be 100% perfect if they just weren't treated with toxic stain repellent.

I haven’t actually used these pants yet but plan to on some outdoor adventures next week. The fit is perfect and love the material and placement of pockets. The only thing that I didn’t realize is that even though I ordered Short, the pants come with a “raw hem” and the expectation that the wearer will have them hemmed. I’m 5’1 and had to shorten about 5”. Bummer to have to do this for the price.

I’m 5’6 120 lbs and got a size 4. Size 2 would have definitely fit better but I was worried about them being too short so I went up a size. I originally bought these for a zombie apocalypse in the future but have come to the realization I may need them sooner. My fiancé introduced me to this brand and was very adamant about having these for hiking. Very durable and very good quality. I can move very well in them and all of the pockets make them great pants for hiking or the end of the world! Definitely recommend these pants! The price of this brand is definitely worth it.

For what they are, which is sturdy, water-resistant outdoor and gardening trousers, these are perfect. And anything with a 35" hem gets my vote every time. Hooray for the Swedes! The rest of you can just hem them shorter. I got the curvy fit in a 38, which sounds right since I usually wear a 27 or 28 in a jean or a 6 or 8 in other trousers. Waist is pretty much at the waist, so you can tuck in your shirt and it will stay tucked, and the fabric is light and flexible (stretch fabric in the right places) for summer weather. I can't wait to find out how rain-proof they really are.

Living in Seattle where we are now entering the rainy season I was excited to receive Fjallraven Nikka Trousers. The fabric is perfect for hiking or just being out in the rain. The pockets not the legs are of good size and placement for reaching my phone and other items. The quality is very good. Waist and rear fit perfect. Only down side is the length. I where a 28-30 inch inseam and these are still too long and need to be hemmed.
I'd also recommend:

This was my first purchase of this brand and I LOVE these pants. Great quality and comfortable. Totally worth the price. I wear a US size 4 and the EU36 US 27-28 fit perfect. They do come super long— and are made to hem to the length YOU need. However I just fold them under which works for me (they DO come hemmed). Hiking pants are my go-to daily wear, regardless if I’m at home or on the trails— and this will now be the brand I buy. More expensive yes, but worth it.

I'm 5'7", 130 lbs and size US 38 fits perfect. Lightweight, comfortable, and FINALLY some pants that aren't too short! Love these pants. I cringe at the price, but worth it because they are so comfortable to wear (don't make me hot) and made to last. Figures these are the most expensive walking pants I've ever bought, but worth it because they look and feel so great.

Most favorite technical pants ever. Not baggy or unflattering. I wear them as regular pants in the winter.

Bought these for camping, hiking, and even though they’re pricey, like more than I usually spend on dressier pants, they are far superior to your everyday camping trousers. Fabric is high quality and lightly stretchy. But the best thing about these is the fit. They feel and look wonderful. I am size 4 and the fit is perfect.

These run large and length is extremely long. I'm 5'1" and ordered the smallest size in the 'short' length. They were baggy and at least 9 inches too long! Not sure how these are considered 'short'. They were so long I checked the tag to ensure I received the 'short' length. Love the style and quality seemed very good, but had to return. Hemming that much length was not an option with the style and seaming.
