Yes, these are on the loose side, but that is actually working well for me. The looseness is not a hinderance to comfort or a secure feeling of keeping the shoe on my foot, probably due to the coverage of the foot by the straps, which the toe loop probably really helps with. The toe loop is not too irritating at all. I prefer the flat type of toe pieces by far and this is exactly that type. I'm finding the looseness actually makes this slip-on very comfortable to wear. But of course it would not work very well for long distance or prolonged walking. This is more for when you're going to be standing around more or walking short distances (car to building and back). The nice heel makes for an almost semi-dressy look, so they are just the thing for a casual barbecue party. So personally i would recommend to at least trying these if you like the style. On the first wear did not discover any issues with rubbing or rough spots, so my feet were happy. I was afraid the heel shape would cause stability issues, but surprisingly that was not the case, and my foot did not slide to any side, which i find sometimes to be an issue with Born and other sandals. In fact they were remarkably stable, easy to wear. They are casual, but neat and well-kept, not sloppy. I got the neutral color and they are barely noticeable on the foot, so will go with a lot. Thinking of trying the pewter and red as well if the price comes down. Perfect match for a casual dress or dressy shorts. So get these for the look and comfort and those outdoor summer parties, not touring trips on foot.

I was so excited when these sandals arrived today! They are really cute & I was already imagining what other colors I could get them in...until I tried them on. They are really, really wide sandals. I have never had a problem with Born sandals (or shoes) being too wide in the past (and I own A LOT of them!), but I can only imagine that these would get wider with wear. I have to return them & am very disappointed because they are the best all-around sandals that Born offers this year.

Love these shoes! Very comfortable, they look great and I love the color. As these only came in whole sizes and I normally wear a 8.5, I ordered the 8s and they were just fine. I can see the leather straps will stretch out a bit on wearing. Love them so far!

I can't wear straight flat shoes for any length of time, need a bit of heel and cushion in the sole for comfort. These are terrific. The straps are soft; I was worried about the toe strap rubbing, but no problem at all. The sole is flexible and comfortable. The Natural (Dhiaphano) color suits my pale skin. I wear a 9, and the size was just right.

Just received these yesterday and I am already wearing. This is rare for me, to love a shoe so much I want to wear them right away instead of trying them out for several days first. I normally wear 8.5. Since Born doesn't come in half sizes I ordered 3 different styles to try. The other two were too short. This pair is perfect. I have narrow feet but these are not too wide as some reviews have stated. Very cute, comfortable, will go with almost anything from dressy to not.

Fits true to size. I ordered the black, the red, and the beige one. The black pair seems tighter in the toe ring than the red pair. This is just barely noticeable. I think the shoe is very comfortable, lots of padding in the foot. Great for walking.

This is a very pretty and comfortable shoe. Will unfortunately be returning it. Not good for people with bunions. Have had strappy sandals that don't cross right at the bone before. Am hoping someone makes some pretty sandals for those of us who don't have perfect feet.

Cute sandal but it feels like my foot is spilling over the actual foot bed (the shaping reminds me of an insole that you can cut to size). The straps were comfortable and a nice nude coloring. Disappointed that they need to be returned. If my foot didn't spread upon standing they would have been perfect.

I wrote earlier, stating that I was going to return these sandals because they are so wide. However, ManMur's Shoe Store (in Raleigh, NC) was able to take the straps in. I really like their appearance, so I'm glad that I got to keep them, even though it added $25 to the cost of the sandals. They are really comfortable now!

I would have bought them earlier in the season had I known I would love them so much! I wasn't sure I would like the color but it goes with just about everything.

Love them! I love how they blend into my skin tone - it's not often that the sole is a nude color too. They don't slide off easily because of the toe ring, which is great for walking or driving. The size 11 ran a tiny bit large, which I was thrilled about since I am a size 11 1/2 and no one makes that size. I would buy these again!

Love these shoes! Really comfortable on my "bad" feet. I usually wear FitFlops, and these are a nice change into a lower profile sandal. Not a ton of support, but lots of cushion.

These are awesome! Very comfortable, the straps are high on your foot so they don't flop around too much. Just what you expect from Born.

I bought this shoe for a summer work shoe. It fits fairly well. It is true to size and appears to be well made. I would buy this again.

I usually wear a 39, but this one is a tad small - I kept them anyway. The straps and toe ring are very snug at first but soften comfortably with a couple of wears and still stay well secured to my feet. The heel bed is on the narrow side which makes it dressier than most flip-flop type sandals. There is no arch support like comfort sandals such as Merrells or Naots, and the heel stack is a hard rubber so no real cushion for any length of time spent walking on hard surfaces. Thanks to other reviews I knew not to expect all-day comfort but the neutral color (true to photo) and style were the reasons I purchased these, but I probably will not purchase any more Born products - I need more support.

I really wanted to like these shoes and they were almost perfect but the toe loop was too small for my larger toe and it kept my foot from sliding all the way to fit right. There was some thought that maybe it would stretch to fit, but wearing them until then would have been uncomfortable and if it didn't work, that would have been no good. It's too bad, they are cute and comfortable otherwise.

Why does Born not make their shoes in half sizes? I am a 6½ and the 36 was too small but the 37 was too big. Unfortunately, they are going back. Luckily, a Zappos return is so easy.

Comfortable, arch support got a bit better after foot settled into shoe. Really like them, but not for long walking expeditions. Note I have a very high arch, so all day touring is too long for this shoe. Great for running around or dinner out during the summer time.

Soft footbed, nice heel support. Wore these around the airport with no issues. Nice style and graceful design, these are nice all-around casual sandals.

Really pretty sandals and fairly comfortable. Toe strap might take some wearing in. Problem was top straps at least 1/2 inch off top of my foot, so of no use except decoration. I had ordered both the red and black, and oddly the top straps on the black ones were slightly large, but not nearly as bad as the red ones. Wonder if they had been tried on and stretched out, or just not good quality control. Red was nice color. Maybe OK if on heavier side or very high instep. Keeping black ones...hope they don't stretch out.

Like some previous reviewers, I initially thought that the tight toe strap was preventing me from getting these sandals all the way onto my feet. However, upon further review, I realized it was actually because the straps just behind the toe strap are so narrow/tight that I can't get my admittedly wide feet into these shoes. Obviously, they're going back. I don't normally have problems with Born being too narrow, but this is an exception. It's too bad, because I like the way they look and the bronze-y color would have gone with just about everything. Anyway, if you have narrow feet and long narrow toes, these shoes will probably work well for you.

These shoes fit well and feel comfortable. I just don't care for the little toe strap - it felt a little tight and I didn't like the way it looked so I'm returning these shoes. I wish they didn't have the toe strap because I would have kept them. I usually wear a size 8 1/2 and the size 9 fit fine.

I love them! They are not too wide for me and I have bunions on one foot. I always wear Born too, and these are my new favorites. I love the nude color.

Super cute on my foot and fit is perfect BUT when I walk my heel slides off to one side, partially off the shoe. So disappointed. I need a shoe just like this.

I love the looks of this shoe and it feels good on. But, the heel is too narrow! I fall off of it!! I have never had this problem before! Maybe the top strap needs to be tighter?
