I was getting ready to purchase the Addiction 10, when I saw this new version. Not expecting too much of a difference, I was pleasantly surprised,, The sole is more cushioned and supports the whole foot. There is a less pronounced arch, but it molds to your foot, Since I have peripheral neuropathy and therefore very sensitive feet, the extra cushion was worth the extra cost. Although I usually wear a medium, I was advised to get a wide at a shoe specialty shop. Glad I did, as I have plenty of wiggle room.

Brooks Addiction 11 is very different from previous Addiction sneakers. The forefoot of this shoe is longer, narrower & more shallow. Previous versions had a more rounded & deeper toe box. I have been wearing Addiction sneakers for a long time. This is the first time I had to return them. I did find a Brooks sneaker which was more like the old Addictions. It is the Brooks Ariel.

I've worn out several pairs of beloved Addiction 10s, and was hopeful that the Addiction 11 would be perfect for me, too, because Zappos did not have the 10s in stock in my size any longer. Alas, I had to send the Addiction 11s back. I wear orthotics which were no problem in the Addiction 10s, but in the Addiction 11s, my foot sat way too high in the shoe (problem 1) and just wearing them around the house to see how they felt produced that familiar twinge in my right knee that develops quickly when a shoe just isn't right for me (problem 2 and the deal-breaker). Whatever Brooks has done to the Addiction 11, I can't wear them, which makes me very sad. Loved the Addiction 10, and fortunately I was able to find 2 pairs on Amazon in my size. I may have to spring for a few more pairs to stock up on them.

This brand was recommended to me by my foot surgeon. I have bunions, pronated ankles and a flat foot. I like that they come in wide so my orthotics fit. They are very lightweight and comfortable. This is my second pair and when these wear out, I'll just order another pair from Zappos.

This shoe is not the best looking in terms of colors or style. However, it came in wide which I need and was highly rated for arch support, which is something I need for my current problem with plantar fasciitis. It's been a week of doing high-intensity aerobics with these shoes and so far, they are proving very supportive. They do minimize my pain and I seem to be recovering more easily the next day. They have not stretched out a great deal either, something I often find with many sneakers. They are very comfortable with good space in the toe box and cushioning in the heel. I've had absolutely no rubbing or blisters with these. Very comfy!

Thank goodness they have a sneaker similar to the Ariel. It fits well and is very comfortable. I am a difficult fit due to my very wide and small foot, high arch and instep. I've already run in these sneakers and I really love them. Thank you Brooks, please don't change these like you did to the Ariel which no longer fits. And thank you Zappos. You are the only online store that gives free shipping back and forth.

I loved the Addiction 10 and tried a Saucony shoe...disappointed in it. Finally ordered this Addiction & love it! Great support but with a soft feeling!

This is a great shoe with amazing support but it's not big and ugly like some of the extra support shoes. I have cranky 60 year old knees and these make everything I want to do possible.

I ordered several different sneakers in an attempt to find the right one. I'd take them to my foot/ankle therapist. She helped me figure out what was right for my over pronated arch and flat foot. We both agreed this was the best fitting one - Brooks Addiction 11. They also come in narrow which was important for my narrow heels. It's supportive and comfortable. Glad Zappos carried these. Thank you, Zappos.

Last year a shoe store fitted me with the Brooks Addiction 10. When they started to lose its support I got these from Zappos. Same excellent structure, great arch support, very comfortable. I am convinced that wearing these both to the gym and for walks has helped strengthen my legs and reduced my knee problems.

I agree with other reviewers that the Addiction 11 toebox is narrower and fits slightly tighter across the widest part of my forefoot. I much prefer the rounded, wider toebox of previous Addiction models. The Addiction 11 also feels more cushiony. I liked the firmer feel of past Addictions. Surprisingly the arch support still feels good and the heel still fits snugly. The purple color choice is nice, but I do wish Brooks would get away from the gray color on the majority of the shoe. Also, I really don't like the shiny plastic looking reflective pieces all over the shoe. I know the reflective feature is good but I think the plastic looking material cheapens the look of the shoe. If the next Addiction model continues with the current features as the Addiction 11 I'll start looking for another option that more closely resembles the Addiction 10 and previous models. This shoe will do, but it's definitely not my favorite.

I love all but one thing about these shoes - the toe guard is misplaced and despite constant filing down of my big toe, it breaks through the mesh and I have to use fishing line or invisible thread to repair them and then they no longer look as good, but otherwise they are the best shoe I've ever owned.
I'd also recommend:
None - I love these and these only - just wish the toe guard were bigger and better placed!

I have worn Brooks Addiction shoes for several years and have found them to be the best sneaker to wear, without special orthotics, for my problem feet (heel spurs in both feet). I love the Addiction 10. Because they are no longer making those, I purchased these Addiction 11s. They are simply not the same fit as the 10s. I wear an 8.5 D (wide). The Addiction 11 is more narrow than the 10, particularly in the heel area. They are a good shoe and are otherwise comfortable (and, in my opinion, look more modern than the 10s), but the fit is not the same as the 10s, and unfortunately, aren't going to work for me.

I bought this shoe and the Brooks Ariel 12 to see which felt the best. I like the fit of this one, but it doesn't have as much cushioning as Ariel. I have neuropathy and plantar facistitis so I want comfort. I'm definitely keeping the Ariel and haven't decided about this one, but probably will since it's good to have two kinds to switch out. Zappos service and policies are terrific!

I have happily worn the Addiction in the past. This model was a disappointment. The toe box area felt constricted and uncomfortable. Sending these back.

I've been wearing the Brooks Addiction for years. It's been an awesome shoe for me with flat feet. However, this is the first time I feel Brooks has missed the mark. The toe box in the Addiction 11 is much smaller than in other versions of this shoe. I am a size 11 and used to be able to buy a 12 to give myself plenty of room when running but now with a size 12, my toes are right at the top of the shoe. I've never had a problem with previous shoes but this summer I have lost two toe nails due to all the pressure being caused with the smaller toe box. (Sorry if that's TMI!) I feel really disappointed in this shoe and wish I could return it but I've already worn them outside. Let's hope Brooks can turn it around with the Addiction 12.

I have been wearing Brooks Addition ever since they were "prescribed" for my feet 15 years ago. I have never had an issue with the shoe -- they are fantastic. I bought these 11s for a recent vacation and it didn't take long for me to feel intense pain in the ball of my foot and numbness in my toes. I will be looking for a pair of the 10s to replace these.

Have worn the Addiction shoes for many years and I bought the women Brooks Addiction 11 and was surprised that they were very uncomfortable and caused a lot of foot pain. What happened to this shoe? It is narrower in the toe box than the other addiction shoes. I will have to send this pair back. Please go back and make the shoe like the Addiction 9 or 10!

I so loved the Addiction 10 and was excited to try the latest model of this shoe. But I'm finding it to be short on my foot; a problem I never had with three pairs of the Addiction 10's. Very disappointed. Tried the Ariel and found it to be a perfect fit.

Super Shoe! My fantastic foot friendly work shoes. I am on my feet all day and these shoes make me feel like I am walking on air. My feet are important to me and these shoes give me the support and comfort I need and the fashion flair I desire. Thanks Zappos!

Comfortable, lightweight walking shoe. This is the only lightweight shoe with a roll bar I could find. Highly recommend for those who need good motion control.

I've worn Brooks Addiction 9, 10, and now 11. All great. I have flat feet and started wearing these when I developed Plantar Fasciitis.

Love these shoes. I have a tendency toward plantar fasciitis and these shoes keep my feet comfortable. I run/walk almost 50 miles a week so I need something with good arch support. This is my 4th pair.

The shoes were exactly what I ordered, fit perfectly, and arrived in a timely manner. The email confirmations and shipping info.was helpful as well. This was my first time for purchasing a shoe on line. I must say, I did try this exact shoe on in a store to see if my orthodontic would fit in it and how it felt. I am, though, very pleased with Zappos service and price!

I ordered these walking shoes a year ago and wore them out, ordered a different walking shoe but had to send them back because they weren't comfortable and re-ordered the Brooks Addiction II. They fit my narrow foot perfectly, since I have a narrow foot and high arch it is close to impossible to find a comfortable athletic shoe but these fit me well.
