Terrific board shorts! This is my second pair and I love them. I got the first pair last year and they continue to hold up well after multiple uses and washes. They dry very quickly and the zipper pockets are great. I tend to be closer to a 31 waist, but the 32 fits me perfect so you might want to size up as others have suggested.

As others have noted, order one size up from what you would typically wear. In Kuhl size, I usually wear a 32 but ordered a 33 instead. Fit perfectly. Quality if typically high as expected.

great shorts, fit well, stylish. love that there are 2 zippered pockets. they did run a size small in the waist as others said in the comments.

You must buy a size larger than normal, but when you do you get the most comfortable swim trunks I've ever owned. Very hip styling too. I would say they are my favorite swim trunks ever.

Ordered these and O'Neil Superfreak in the same size. (33) Both well made and husband liked them both. However the Kuhl Mutiny's were way too tight and the O'Neils fit perfectly. And - no man is going to order up a size if he doesn't have to. HA. Hope this is helpful.

great looking bathing suit but size runs really small. 36 is usually loose on me but with these, I had to exchange for bigger size

Great board shorts. I love having two zipper pockets. My only problem was with the sizing. Unlike a different reviewer, I found that they fit a little large. I ordered a 34, and should have ordered at most a 33.

I had never worn actual board shorts before, just traditional swimsuits. I bought these Mutiny board shorts from Kuhl and really like them. Good fit with no elastic waist, they dry fast, and they look good. Highly recommend.

Perfect suit. Wore it everyday. Never went back to my old suit after wearing this. The design and zipper pockets were perfect. Looks great with any color shirt too.

I got these shorts about a week and a half ago and have worn them about four times already (we live on a lake). I love them. I like the way they look and the way they fit. I usually wear 36" waist pants, but got 38" in these and the fit is excellent.

Great Board Shorts. I found sizing to be right on. Shorts look great and the stretch panels make them very comfortable.

I ordered these for my husband because I like the more modern look (not-so-Grandpa). He was uncertain if he'd like them because they lack a liner. However, he's satisfied that the fabric is substantial enough, and he doesn't appear immodest even when he's emerged from the pool soaking wet. He loves that there are a couple of pockets. He wishes they had a drawstring instead of the lace in the front, but again, these are board shorts and not Grandpa swim trunks. The laces do the job, but he finds them fussy. I happen to like the look of them, a lot. He's quite athletic and has a great physique, and these shorts are very flattering.

Highly recommend ordering one size up. I’m a 32” and the 33” fit perfect. The only flaw to these shorts is the laces. Not the best design but definitely not a deal breaker. Highly recommend!

Style and cut are exactly what I was looking for. Zappos photos match color of the item exactly. Kuhl build quality is better than most of the stuff I've gotten from Patagonia and in the case of shorts, better than TNF as well. This is not cheap Indonesian garbage (it's actually Chi-com, and not only do they build great AK47s, they manufacture great shorts too). The only reason I marked down on the overall score was for fit. I'm a 36" waist and I've bought three pair of Kuhl shorts (including these boardshorts) and all three fit very tight. Either Kuhl is right on with their 36 waist and I'm not a true 36 or everyone else has gone to vanity sizing and added another inch. The tighter fit is not going to be problematic as I don't like it when my shorts are pulled half-off by the force of the water (helps if you have a butt to keep your shorts up).
