Loved the look of these boots and they fit great in the calf area if you have slightly larger calves however the ankle area is very narrow so if you have small ankles they will fit perfectly. If you have slightly larger ankles with slightly larger calves, you may not be able to zip them up.I am 5'6", 160 lbs and wear a size 9 with very athletic and muscular legs. Had to return them. Very disappointed.

The style is beautiful as well as the quality, but this is not a wide calf boot as advertised. I was so angry and disappointed when I received this. I have an athletic calf and I could not even zip this half way up my leg. I've purchased a couple of wide calf boots on Zappos in the past without any problem. I don't blame Zappos but rather the manufacturer who claims this is wide calf. If you are a 15" - 16", this would fit you perfectly. There is a little stretch panel but in no way is it meant for women who need larger than a 16"!

These boots are amazing! I had a hard time choosing between the all leather and the suede/leather combo, but chose the suede/leather and am so glad I did. They're just different enough to not look like your generic black boots that you see everywhere. And the wide calf is perfect over skinny jeans. Also very comfortable. Fabulous!!

These boots are gorgeous and comfortable! They are the most comfortable boots that I have ever worn. My calfs are 15" and the fit is perfect!

These are beautiful! This is actually the second pair I ordered because I initially ordered too big a size. But after returning those and re-ordering, they fit perfectly! They are nice, basic, high-quality boot. I do have wider-than-average calves, and they are nice and fitted when I have them all zipped up.

I was so excited to know that I would have these gorgeous shoes. But to my surprise they were not what I expected. Shipping was fast but one boot came with leather wrinkled looking as if it had already been worn. It looks like I have one new shoe and one used shoe. In the picture the calf part of the boots looks like firm, stiff and sturdy leather, but that is not the case. The quality of leather did not meet my expectation for such expensive boots. There are threads loose in the seams of the shoes. I am overall not too happy about the condition the boots came in but I did not return them because they were a gift.

Love these boots. Every time I wear them I have lots of people comment on them. They are comfortable from day one. I can only say buy them!

Love these boots! They are the perfect cognac color. The style and leather were beautiful. They fit my calves perfectly with enough room to tuck in skinny jeans. They are super comfortable as well.

OM GOSH! I am in LOVE with these, I have worn them all day shopping and my feet felt great! They have just enough stretch to for large calves but not too much to make them loose! I get so many compliments! They have held up well in the rain and the color is perfect! A must have. I need to get them in black!

Boots are great quality, leather is nice. Held up well and were comfortable walking a trade show for 9+ hours in Germany. Bought the wide width and they're a little too wide. Would be good with skinny jeans but there a little big on the calves when wearing a skirt/dress.

I love these boots. They are the perfect style of riding boots. I bought these because I was looking for wide-calf and these definitely fit. They were a little tight at first but I have worn them a few times and they fit so much better now. They seem to scratch easily but I'm not sure if it's because of the material or the color of the boot. Regardless, I love these boots and might even consider buying them in another color.

Practical and stylish, comfortable fit, just a few rubs around the heel. Not a size problem, just edges rubbing. Happy with purchase-wear socks!

Had been looking for a pair of classic black boots for months, and these are perfect - simple, comfortable. I'm normally an 8 but I find 8.5 boots fit me better, I just like the extra room.

My calves measure about 15 3/4 inches and my height is 5'2" and these boots fit nicely. The foot size seems pretty true to size as well. As a previous reviewer mentioned, when I first tried them on the outside top part of the boots looked a bit funny, like they were sticking out. But by the second time I wore them it didn't bother me anymore. If you take the boot to eye level and look closely there are some parts that the sewing and threads look like they could have done a better job, but it doesn't show when you're wearing them. I'm so happy that I found a nice, comfortable pair of boots for a reasonable price.

These boots were everything I was looking for in a boot! They are so comfortable and the quality is top-notch. I am 5'4", about 135 lbs, with calves that measure around 14 1/2 - 15". The boots could not be a better fit for me. I had been so frustrated in my search for boots because so many of the ones I tried on were just too tight at the top, without even tucking anything into them. These not only have plenty of room for comfort purposes, but they also don't look like I am stuffed into them. There is even enough room when I wear skinny jeans tucked in them. They are perfect! I wish they were available in a dark, rich brown. I'd buy another pair in a heartbeat! Note, I ordered a half-size up from my normal shoe size.

These boots are terrific. They fit my calves, which I guess are athletic, and can zip up easily over leggings and jeans - hooray! None of that forcing up the last two inches of zipper I've had on other boots. And, they look nice and are very comfortable to wear and walk in all day. Exactly what I was looking for!

I really love these boots! I am a size 7 and ordered up to a size 7.5, and unfortunately they are too big. I did this because of all the reviews of narrow ankles, and I have wider feet with bunions so was afraid a 7 might be too narrow, but I think they would have fit perfectly. I have 16 1/4" calves and these fit with leggings. Haven't yet tried with skinny jeans. They fit nicely around the top of the calve and don't flare out like some of the other wide-calf Franco Sarto options I have tried. Now I only wish I had ordered my usual size!

Wore these boots for the first time and they are so comfortable. I love the way they look and the fit was just what I was looking for. I have been wanting a brown pair of riding boots since fall and finally found these. The wait was completely worth it. The wider leg fits perfectly over my skinny jeans. I think you will love these as much as I do. Zappos is a great company to do business with, their correspondence is right on and the quality of the products speak for themselves.

I purchased these boots to wear with skirts to work without having to wear tights. I get tons of compliments on them everywhere I go. Since they have an extended calf, I can easily fit them over skinny jeans and they look great!

Great boots! Looked forever and ordered 2 pair before these, had to send them back. First day of wearing was so comfortable and I wore them all day! Love these boots!
