I was a big fan of Timberland's City Adventure Stormbuck - no longer available. The Earthkeeper's Stormbuck runs smaller, tighter, and just didn't have the same quality feel as the City Adventure. Very uncomfortable around the sides of the tongue. There extra leather on the sides of the tongue was hard and pressed against my foot...very uncomfortable. Timberland: please get back the dies and the plans for the City Adventure!

These are very nice shoes. Unfortunately the rear lip where your heel sits is rough and will cut through your heel like your wife's favorite pair of dress shoes. I put mole hair there, but I still am not happy. I have been wearing Rockports for the last ten plus years. These are more comfortable, but kind of noisy.
I'd also recommend:
Rockports.

I am so disappointed. I bought these shoes at a discount in a Timberland store. The first day I wore them, in October, the "stormbuck" leather started to stain with the perspiration of my feet. Basically white stains and line everywhere. I just want to let you know that I do not really sweat and it seems that only timberland does that to me. With other brands I come home after walking all over New York City and my feet are dry. At the price that Timberland charges for these shoes, I would expect something more. I will definitely stay away from Timberland shoes from now on since this is the third time that this happened.

Ordered for my husband. They run big, so went down a half size and they fit perfectly. He says they are extremely comfortable.

Very comfortable soles -- good for walking. The tongue, though, isn't as good a fit as on previous models, and there's a bit of chafing there and with the lip on the back. Not prohibitive and I think it will go away as the shoe breaks in, but I noticed it. This model does, though, have a more bulbous, less pointed front that makes it less able to serve double duty as a dress shoe and daily shoe than previous models. Very waterproof, which is my main goal in buying this.

Good fit. Well constructed. The only problem is the laces always seem to come untied. I recommend changing them.

Very nice shoe, look good, feel good right out of the box. Quality seems a little "thinner" than some older Timberlands I have but still a good shoe.

I like the style, but unfortunately these shoes are so uncomfortable I simply can't wear them and will have to give them away. The problem is the back edge at the top of the heel counter: it's not padded at all, it's hard and sharp, and it cuts into my own heel so that walking is painful. I bought these as a replacement for a previous style of Timberland oxfords that were very comfortable but that finally wore out after thousands of miles over several years. Wish the news ones fit like those old ones, which I can't seem to find anymore! I typically walk a few miles a day, so comfort is crucial.

I was a bit shocked that these shoes only lasted me six months before I blew the side out. Yes, that's right the side... It went flat like a bike tire off the rim. I am a Student and part-time counselor, there's no way I wore them out that bad. I had to shove them aside and have been wearing my running shoes because finding something to fit a 13.5-14 average is hard. But I did fit in a 13 of these just fine.

A mediocre shoe at an inflated price. No fault of Zappos I'm certain. Timberland is nowhere near the quality that they used to be. Not that long ago I could spend $60 and get a long lasting everyday shoe that was supportive and comfortable from Timberland, no more apparently. These feel flimsy. But the real problem is an absolute design flaw. They run a little big but if I came down a half size I think the damage would be worse. The edge of the back rim cut through my socks (literally wore out a hole in thick brown gold-toe cotton socks) and removed many layers of skin to soak my socks in blood after walking only 3 blocks from my house. The 3 blocks back to home were excruciating, near to tears. Do not buy.
