This bag is huge. You could definitely use it for a weekend getaway. I bought it because my workout activities are varied - swimming, strength, running, horseback riding, and hiking. With the ventilated pockets and the separate shoe pockets this works for all I do. You can also carry it as a backpack, which makes it even more practical for the multi-action lifestyle.

I originally ordered the 9.0 but found it to be too big for my use. The 8.0 is perfect for all the gear necessary for a century ride that requires an early departure to get to the event. It keeps the bike gear well organized and has enough room for a change of clothes and towel so you can get out of your bibs and into street clothes.

I got this bag for a two week bike trip to Europe in June, 2014; it's going to serve as my carry-on. There's ample space for my bike gear and street clothes (and I'll have a daypack for whatever I want next to my person). In the meantime, I realize this is a great bag for weekend cycling trips in California, where I live. The shoe compartment works, the armored pocket is a great idea, and the multiplicity of pockets and zippers can keep as much or a little organized as necessary. That a helmet can be tucked away inside the pack, or out, is another plus. And the bag just plain looks like it belongs to someone active. The important thing: this is a sturdy bag, and if you want it to last, and you take care of the bag, it will.

This is a well-made, versatile bag that makes it easy to stay organized on a trip. We particularly like the small, hard-sided compartment built into the side pocket that is just the right size for a pair of sunglasses.

This bag is great. I use it for all my active sports. It seems like I am still finding more zippered pockets to keep things organized. I personally don't use it as a "backpack" but it's still perfect used as a regular gear bag. The only issue I wish it had was dual zippers on the side bags. Because someone like me, I tend to forget to zip it up and my stuff falls out. (Or in this case, zip it down. Otherwise great size, and I am now an OGIO fan! Awesome product.

I was hoping that this bag would work well for my boyfriend who often goes to the gym. He's big into protein supplements and things like that and I know he's talked about how he sometimes takes his supplements with him. I know that he has looked at this bag, but I don't think he realizes how bit it is. I think it is too big for what he wants to use it for.
