I'm really pleased with these boots. I got them in black and walked all over NYC in them for several days. They were comfortable right out of the box (no breaking in required), and they work equally well with skinny jeans or dresses. The leather is soft, and the gunmetal hardware looks really sharp. Best of all, they make me feel like River Tam when I wear them. I hope they wear as well as I think they will. I'm considering getting them in brown too!

Fabulous! Very stylish and comfortable. I travel a lot and these are my "go to" footwear. They look equally good dressed up with tailored wool slacks or with casual jeans and a sweater. Born has always been a comfortable shoe for me and for the price I feel the quality is excellent.

I'm very pleased with these boots. They are very comfortable right out of the box. Many shoes I try are too narrow in the toes but these are perfect. They have a good amount of arch support. And they look fantastic with jeans! I like the straps and buckles, they give them a funky look different from a lot of plain boots. I've only just gotten them but they seem very sturdy and I expect them to last a long time. Mine are brown but I'm thinking of getting them in black I like them so much!

Not to be totally inappropriate, but these boots totally made me look like I was in the Gestapo. I tried them with three different outfits...no way.

I'm in my 60s and wanted a jazzy jet comfortable boot to wear in moderately bad weather. That means I won't really wear it in pouring rain. I also wanted to be warm. This boot works! Not to mention that it was totally comfortable right out of the box. I did order my usual size 9-1/2 and a 9. I kept the 9. I can wear thick wool socks or just regular knee-hi's in these and they fit the same. There is a long tongue in front that wasn't obvious, but it's really helpful getting the boot on and off. It's especially handy when tucking in pants. These hit at mid calf and look great with pants tucked in or underneath jeans. I can walk in them all day. The sole is super comfy and for my flat feet feel very supportive. The whole inside is lined with a warming cushioned fabric. Very stylish - I have had compliments from strangers. I feel pretty young when I wear these!

First the good. These are very cute, just strappy, biker-y enough, without being too tough looking. The foot bed is smooth and nicely padded. The bad: There are some rough seams and edges of flaps, mostly over the inside of the zipper that would rub blisters in no time. Granted my feet are especially sensitive, but I didn't find these near as comfortable as some reviewers, mostly just do to less than ideal interior finishing. Size-wise, like most Borns, I find them a bit roomy, and could maybe go down a half-size, if I were keeping them. More likely, I'd just wear socks and put in orthotics for more arch support. I have slightly narrow feet and Borns are usually wide on me, and these are no exception.

I love these boots! I have a narrow foot and these are a perfect fit. Because they are a medium width, they must run narrow. I got a size 7.5 and I normally wear an 8. I wore them black Friday shopping and they passed that comfort test. if you have a narrow foot, try these! You will love them too.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! I have been looking for a great pair of boots for a long time. I have big feet and big calves, and my feet are sensitive to boot (no pun intended). I read a review about how a woman purchased these and trekked around NYC for a few days in them and they were so comfortable. It's SO true! They are incredibly comfortable! Now, they certainly don't make my feet look petite, but who cares?! They're great quality, gorgeous and comfortable!

These shoes fit and look like a dream even for my size 11 foot. The buckles and straps are a really nice look. The shaft is roomy at top so they do not squeeze your leg - but this might be a problem for people with very thin calves, but perfect for my muscular ones. Plenty of wiggle room at the toes. Started wearing them the day after I received and they feel terrific. Great buy!

These boots are very comfortable. The only negative thing I could say would be the boots would be perfect if there was a little more cushion. Other than that, great boots.

Looked at other review before purchasing. Usually wear between 8.5-9 . Got an 8. Loved them. Didnt need to be broke in.. look is cute. They hit right below my calf. I would recommend .

I have been looking for a cute but slightly funky black boot all season but sadly, these were not them. They were comfortable, but just not flattering to my big feet (size 11). The toe is very rounded and so makes my feet look huge, but that is also probably why they were more comfortable than others I tried on. I am not a fan of the tongue, either, just looks weird. I still love Born and would try their shoes/boots in the future, because they often get the mix of style/comfort just right, just not this time unfortunately.

Very comfortable, great support. I didn't realize there's a tongue in the boot, which I didn't love. I almost kept these, but found better looking similar boots on Zappos, which were almost (not quite ) as comfortable. You can't beat the Born support, but I think I'll put a Superfeet insole in the Eric Michael "Laguna" boot which is cuter, and hope it then matches the comfort of this Born.

I love buying shoes, but I am someone that takes them off the second I walk in the door, even before I put my purse down or take off my sunglasses. I have had these boots for a couple of weeks now, and from day one, I would wear them out and come home, and not think to take them off. They are so comfortable that I would forget I was even wearing them. They are funky and cute, and look great with leggings or skinny jeans. They look cute with dresses too, if thats your style (sort of military-chic). I am going to Europe this fall and these will be my every day staple. Highly recommend these boots!

I bought these boots for a winter trip to Italy where I knew we would be doing tons of walking (39.8 miles walked in 10 days) I didn't break them in at all the arrived the day before we left for the trip and I wore them almost the entire time we away. They are comfortable, stylish and durable. LOVE THEM.

These are super nice boots, insanely comfortable. Order at least a half size smaller than your actual size, they do run big. Unfortunately, I'm sending them back because they're a bit shorter than what I was looking for.

These boots are incredibly comfortable and look super stylish. The first time I wore them, the heels were a bit snug, which I didn't mind, but they loosened up slightly as I wore them the first day. The leather is incredibly soft, so I use a good leather protector spray on them every few weeks. They're holding up great with frequent wear and are very supportive for walking and standing. I've had great luck with Born shoes, and I'm glad to find more on-trend styles from them every year.

I received the merchandise (boots) very quick, but they had some leather coloring issues and weren't the quality I expected for the price. I normally wear a size 8 and the boots were a little tight on my feet. I would have to order a 8.5 if I wanted to keep them. I am requesting a refund and will order something else at a later date.

I usually wear size 11/12N but with Born I can fit the 11M quite comfortably. These boots were wonderful right out of the box, as all my Born shoes/boots are. I love the style and even my mother-in-law said the boots do not make my feet look as big as they are. Thank you Zappos!

These were not really the type of boots that I was looking for but I feel in love with them and decided to keep them! I was shopping for practical yet nice looking boots. The boots that I ended up with to serve that purpose have a better all-terrain tread and are probably going to be a bit warmer. These boots I will keep as dressier boots. They look ok with jeans tucked in, but wow do they look nice with a pair of dark tights! There was practically no breaking in, they were comfortable straight out of the box! Some people might not like the tongue as it is not a false tongue. For me, it mean that I had more room for my athletic calves.

I ordered these along with the Steve Madden Bounti, as I was searching for a shorter, brown boot to wear with jeans, skirts, etc. The Born Alamid definitely won out. They're super comfy and look really nice: a very high quality boot. These broke in right away, and I couldn't be happier. They don't have a ton of arch support, but there is enough for considerable walking.

I have been looking for a mid calf boot with buckles that blended into the shoe color for a long time. Finally! They were a half size too big, but other than that very satisfied.

Love this boot. Put it on today and wore it all day long. First, it keeps your feet warm, and it is comfortable right out of the box. Has really good arch support and even tho the toe box is wide they really are super cute on. Buy them!

I love these! They are super comfy. I can walk for hours. The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they did scuff up quite a bit.
