Not what they used to be. I had to buy 2 of these this past fall/winter because the toes started separating and holes appeared just from wearing them indoors at school. I am not sure what happened but the quality seems to have plummeted, which is unfortunate because these have been a staple in my house for my older kids for years.

i have been buying these shoes for my special needs daughter for the past ten years. i gave her new ones for her birthday october 21 only three months and the elastic has totally worn out. she is not hard on shoes. for athe price am very upset because we are on a very limited income. these aare the only shoes she will wear. for 60 bucks???

If the foot liner did not bulge into my son's foot, despite being taped, this would be a great shoe. In general, this shoe has worked for my other kids, I just think this one might be defective. I should also add that though these are nice comfortable shoes in general, they fall apart rather quickly.

I was shocked by these shoes. My 8 year old son wore them for the first time to go to church. 2 hours later we came home and the suede was completely rubbed off the scuffed up toe box. The shoes looked a year old. And they had been worn for 2 hours sitting in church. They do not hold up at all. I expected so much better from Merrell! Zappos, as always, was AMAZING though! I will only buy shoes from Zappos! Just not these particular shoes ever again!

I absolutely love these shoes for my son! Drawback is the first pair we had, the seams completely blew apart. Thank you Zappos for offering a replacement pair!

This was the 5th pair of Jungle Mocs that I bought and the fit was totally different. They are too narrow and a little tight in the front but the back is so loose that it slips when I walk. The arch support isn't as good as the previous Mocs I bought. Sadly Merrell isn't as reliable a fit as in the past.

I've owned this shoe many times over. I am an adult women with small feet. This time the left shoe was perfect. The right was dysfunctional and didn't have any "give" in the elastic area, and therefor didn't' stretch at the tongue to put it on.

Ordered a wide. It is not at all wide. I can’t imagine how narrow the non-wide option is. The picture of this shoe sole is not reflective of the actual sole re: width.

Shoes are to big, don't know how to return. order size 6 need size 5.5.

We live on a farm and buy these for our whole family as farm shoes. My son wanted them in blue this last time he got new shoes. BIG mistake! He now has permanently blue socks and feet. Definitely go with another color.

I ordered these last year, and years prior, for my son and they were great in all respects. I ordered them again this year and they were not great. The overall quality of the shoes had diminished, the leather seemed thinner and cheaper, the color was lighter, and they had a very strong noxious chemical smell. This smell was not from the packaging which is often the case on items made in China. Very disappointed with Merrell for cheapening their shoes. Will find other shoes this year from another brand.

These shoes completely fell apart after 6 months. The sole has separated on both. They were worn a couple of times per week at most since my son usually wears sneakers. Very low quality.

They fall apart - the rubber toe comes unglued almost imediately causing your child to trip over all the time because it is dragging. This is the 2nd pair in 2 months that has done this.

The tow has come unstuck in the first month- on both shoes! So they look like they are falling apart. Returning.

I purchased these shoes for my three daughters. On all three pairs the back of the heel was made with a material behind the inside liner that would cut into my daughters heels and make them bleed. It appears to be a very stiff material that cuts through the heel liner and into the skin. I am very disappointed in the shoe, especially since they are expensive. I expected the shoes to last at least the school year. My daughter wore them for Halloween and came back with blood heels. Maybe they were rejects I received?
