Probably the most comfortable shoes I've worn in a very long time. I have problems finding size 13 4E and usually end up with something narrower. New Balance has always been my shoe of choice.

First off, the shoe was at least 1/2 smaller then marked. That happens. What happened next is what set Zappos apart from all the others. I work overseas so Zappos had to send my order to a DPO address. Once I got them and found out they where too small, I thought I was in trouble. First, I can receive mail but I can not send it. Second, as soon as I got the package, I discarded the shoe box. Third, I do not return to the states until July. I contacted Zappos, described my situation thinking I had just lost my money. Not so. Zappos has agreed for at least this time, to allow me to ship the shoes back to them when I get home, in a different box as long as I print the receipt and put it in the box. They will then ship a different pair of shoes to me. That is customer service at its finest. I will continue to shop with Zappos.

These shoes felt great on the first day. They're lightweight, but also very sturdy and supportive. I have narrow feet, but I can lace these up to the right fit. I've been wearing them for 3 weeks or so, and quite happy.

Bought these specifically for hiking. Wore them for a short walk once before hitting the trail. Very comfortable, with no break in required. Virtually useless insole. Pulled an insole from other shoes and inserted. First hike was a 2.5 miler with 460 feet total elevation gain. No issues. Excellent grip in the very dry trail conditions out here. Noticed how lightweight and breathable these shoes are. Second hike was 7.5 miles with 1350 feet total elevation gain. Same trail conditions. Performed flawlessly. Especially sure footing on steeper downhill sections. These shoes are excellent for trail hiking. Nice for strolling. No complaints. Highly recommend.

New Balance have become the only sneaker that fits my feet consistently over the years. So once you know your size... ordering over the internet becomes possible.

The only issue I had with these shoes are the laces. They never want to stay tied unless you d ounce knot them. Other then that they were great. I am about to replace them after having them for about a year and a half.

Too narrow. I've worn New Balance size 8 4E MX608 for almost 20 years from Big 5. These size 8 4Es are too narrow. Returning. Eventually I bought a pair of Keene Voyageur US 8.5 and they fit perfectly.

These shoes are very comfortable, and they have good grip on all sufaces. Also they retain a lot of heat and are nice in the cold mornings.

I've put this shoe through hell this year and it just keeps going. Haven't worn them out yet but I thought I'd better get another pair while they still make them.

Had these more than a year - the very best pair of shoes I have ever had. Incredible durability, comfortable still and dirt just wipes right off! Please do not discontinue these!

My husband bought these for a trip to Arizona. They fit him and did not have to "break them in." We walked around the Grand Canyon, Walked through the Sedona area. No problems.

You'll read in these reviews the occasional "...order a half size larger." Follow that advice and you'll have some of the most comfortable shoes. For me, I haven't had a pair (and I have a lot of shoes, New Balance, Merrill, and others) this comfortable in years. This is like sinking my feet into heaven. I walk about 5 miles a day, exercise on a Precor elliptical, and do other activities in these MO889BR shoes. I do have an orthotic that I insert in place of the insert that came with this shoe, but, still, I have plenty of room in the toe box. I have a new Birkenstock sport orthotic coming and I am certain that it, too, will fit.

I typically wear NB 990's made on the SL-1 last in size 11.5/4E. Based on some reviews that said they ran a half size small I ordered these in size 12/4E and I'm glad I did. The length is right and the 4E is not quite as wide as the 990's but sufficient. These have great sole tread and remind me of my spikeless golf shoes. I'll probably give them a go on the course as I expect they will be outstanding. These are my woods, trail, fishing and other messy adventure shoes. Overall, very pleased with the purchase!

Spouse and I both wear New Balance because they offer outdoor sneakers in a lot of sizes and widths. For this shoe we had to return 10D and go with 10.5 E to get proper fit with heavy sock. Usually wears 10D in dress shoe. Plan accordingly.

Great looking shoe, not too jazzy or bright to be masculine--just enough. Great fit just as it should be. Would definitely buy again. Wide enough since take a 4E width--New Balance is the best.

Great fit and supreme comfort out of the box. I walked all day at Disney World! Of course Zappos made it great by offering wide sizes and many styles to chose from, and of course A-1 customer service if you don't like something!

This is probably the best fitting walking shoe I've ever owned. They are light, yet sturdy, and have excellent traction for non-slip performance. I especially like the color, so tired of white.

My 12 yr old son said these sneakers were the best he's had for day to day wear. Great support and cushion for a kid (or adult) who has wide feet and a high instep. He's an extra wide and sizing was perfect. A bit heavy for for fast action sports or gym. Bought a pair in both colors because he said they were so comfortable!

Very comfortable sneaker. Fit is true to size. Cushion in shoe is soft but thin and will get packed down over time but the actual sole is what matters which gives great support.

These are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever worn. Amazing. I just got them today and have had them on for a few hours. Can't wait to hike in them! New Balance ftw!

I bought these to wear while mowing the lawn. They provide good traction on the hills and when the grass is a little wet. The shoes are comfortable and light. These are much better than regular running/walking shoes for this purpose.

I took these right out of the box, laced them up, and tackled Uupper Yosemite Falls with zero "breaking in" required. Excellent shoe!

I don't know what to say, Except this is the best pair of light hiking shoes ever! Can't believe the fit, perfect. True to size, good foot feel and great grip on loose surfaces because of the unique VIBRAM soles. I should buy another pair. As far as arch suport goes I can't say, I have flat feet and wear orthotics which also fit in these shoes perfectly. Thank you New Balance, Thank you Zappos!

I returned a Keen utility pair for these and I'm so glad I did. This pair was comfortable from the get-go. The EE fit my wide feet very well. They are extremely light, in part because of the fabric-material on the sides, which I normally do not care for because it can look cheap, but this is much less conspicuous. I can wear these all day without heel pain or cramped toes. Recommend highly.

I put them on and was extremely happy! I bought them one half size larger and they are perfect.
