These shoes are awesome! Required NO break-in time. I've been running in Asics for several months, but I'm so glad I bought another pair of Saucony...reminded me how much I love these shoes!

I am a Saucony loyalist. However, the Ride 5 s are not at all my favorite Saucony. In just about all other Sauconys, I tend to run neutrally and the wear pattern on my soles is even. Not the case with the Ride 5 s. The beefed-up ball-of-the-foot cushioning on the interior side seems to have thrown me onto the outer edge of the shoe with the Ride 5's. My wear pattern is all on the outside edge (under-pronation). The new flat laces do not seem to hold the tongue in place either. Therefore, the tongue slides completely off to one side so that the shoelaces dig into the top of my foot. Please Saucony designers, go back to the drawing board! I'm opting to try the Ignition 4W next.

Narrower in the toe than other Sauconys I've purchased in the past. Just a little too tight in my usual size.

I've worn ProGrids for 4 years. The Ride 5 is nothing like the Ride 4. Completely disappointed in design, comfort and style. I ordered the red/grey. It's hot pink not red. I'll be sending them back immediately and will try to find either a Ride 4!else where or something with more arch support.

I usually buy the Omni ProGrid but decided to try the ProGrid Ride after reading mixed reviews on the latest model of the Omni. My foot is wide at the arch and this shoe accommodates for that (I've gotten blisters on the arches of my feet after running in shoes that were too narrow in the middle). It's very cushy and comfortable, as expected from Saucony. Love the color. I don't like the flat laces, they are really stretchy and I keep having to tighten them. Overall, a very good running shoe.

I just bought my fifth pair of Ride 5s. I have trained for three marathons and put over 2,000 miles in wearing this style. I wore out lots of shoes but not my body (knock on wood, no injuries). They are cushy and supportive even on unforgiving pavement. I am a neutral runner, 35-50 miles per week and this is by far my favorite style of running shoes.

I had three pairs of Ride 4 and couldn't be more disappointed in the Ride 5. The 5 is far more shallow than the 4 , especially if you add insoles. They were just too shallow on my heel and I had to return them. If you have owned the Ride 3 or 4, just be warned that the 5 is very different! Besides the depth, the tongue is thinner, laces are different and overall, they look cheaper.

I am training for a 5K and wanted shoes that would absorb the shock. These shoes are great for running on the cement! I have noticed that I do need more arch support, but that is not the shoe that is the issue, its my own feet. I should have purchased over pronating shoes because that is what I needed. Well I know now. These shoes are great for average arches.

This is a good running shoe. However, the tongue of the shoe does slide to the far left or right, which can cause pain. After wearing this shoe and it's predecessors for years, I recently switched the Brooks Glycerine 10 and am MUCH happier. I am a high mileage, neutral runner who likes a little cushioning and wears an odd shoe size (12 Narrow). This shoe runs true to size. This shoe does not last as long as other shoes in terms of cushioning.

I've owned several iterations of the Saucony ProGrid Ride and they are always fantastic. I tried going with a more minimalist style on my last pair and ended up with a knee injury, so have happily returned to these. I typically run about 12-15 miles per week.

Not true to size and not as much cushioning as the picture shows.

Tried other brands before and finally got a shoe that fits, feels springy, and no aches in my feet after wearing all day. I'm not a runner but needed shoes for walking long distances. No arch pain anymore and no special insert needed.

I like these shoes, although they took some getting used to since I switched from minimalist footwear. They provide good support (I'm rather flat footed and don't need a lot of arch support), it feels like running on a cushion. I think these are worth the money.

I previously had a pair of Ride 4s and they were the most comfortable pair I have ever owned, but they were bulky (difficult for certain pants to lay over them nicely). The Ride 5s have less of a bulky profile and so workout and scrub pants fit much better over them. Although when putting them on for the first time they did not feel like a cloud of comfort around my feet like the 4s, they are a rather comfortable shoe that I have become used to over the last several weeks that I have owned them. In comparison to other brands I have owned these are now my 2nd favorite (still love the 4s). The purple/orange always gets noticed and compliments! Overall, I am happy with this shoe for now but I'm not 100% sure I would purchase these again. Also, it was my first time ordering from Zappos and I want to say that future purchases will be made through them again.

I rarely write reviews but was so disappointed with these! Been wearing Saucony's for many years now - this was by far the worse pair of sneakers I have ever worn. They were very narrow and on my first run I felt like they had no bounce to them. My back heel felt as if were coming out of the shoe and my foot didn't feel like it was in the sneaker. The bottom of my feet ached after I took the shoe off. I'm very disappointed. My last pair was the Triumph 9, which I loved. I wish sneakers could keep the same models forever...would make things a lot less complicated!

This is the sneaker that I've been working with for years. I order the narrow. This time too narrow. Fits like a glove. I'm not sure I could move my toes. I would suggest that it might only work for ones with really narrow feet. (You always order the N or AA to AAAA.) Other than that, it's my go to sneaker. I'm a walker.

I'm on my feet all day, walking or just standing. These are my all-day, every-day shoes, and I love them. They're cool (I mean they keep my feet cool) and lightweight, but they also offer great support.

The best. I love these shoes. I bought a pair of the pink ones in a larger size (on accident, actually) and after a few weeks I decided I really needed a smaller pair. I went all over town trying on shoes and nothing fit like these. I'm so glad I decided to give these a go again. They still feel like I'm running on a cloud, and my medium arches are supported completed. I even have slightly wide feet and these are just roomy enough. It's like they were made for me.

I have been buying the Saucony ProGrid Ride for three years. I was originally fitted for this shoe at a local running store, and have found it to be the most comfortable of sneakers I've tried. I know everyone's foot is different, so it can be hard to recommend sneakers. But these are lightweight and give the correct support I need. I've also always liked the colors, which is an added bonus for sneakers.

Very disappointed in the new design. Lower heel did not work for me. Severe calf pain and shin splints. Back to looking for a new running shoe.

I should have listened to the top critical review. I have been a Saucony Progrid Ride wearer for years and years. I have bought them because I know that when I put them on, there will be instant comfort and won't need breaking in. Well, I guess I'll be looking for a new running shoe, the end of an era. The new shoes are so chintzy, no padding, cush. The heal is much lower than the Ride 4, etc., and my molded orthotic is now visible. I'll have to wear them to the gym for a workout as they can't be returned because I've worn them. However, I won't be able to wear them for my daily 3 mile run. On a more positive note, I am always happy with Zappos.

I have worn this shoe for years (20-25 miles/week) and did not have a problem with the recent re-design. Very good "neutral" shoe with decent cushioning and finally my 2 favorite colors on one model!

This is my second pair of Saucony Progrid Ride and they're just as good as my first! True to fit in size, neutral cushioning is perfect for a runner who runs on the outside of their foot. No aches or pain complaints from this runner!

These shoes are pretty good. I have issues with my feet and have to be careful with what I buy. I walk a few miles a week and Sauconys are one of the only brands I can wear. I will say that these specific Sauconys are not as flexible as others I've had.

I have long been a Saucony fan due to the arthritis in my feet and ankles. No shoes fit and support like a Sauconys! I bought these at a local retailer, and I absolutely adore these running shoes. They are fantastic, provide great support, and a comfortable fit. I almost want to sleep in them, they are that wonderful on my feet. Now I am so happy to know that I can purchase Saucony online with Zappos!
