This shoe as good lateral support. It keeps my ankles aligned when walking. The bottom padding is comfortable with good support. I would prefer the leather be smooth instead of suede.

I love these shoes because without them I could not begin to do what I have been doing - walking 5-6 miles a day. My feet are very wide, very sensitive (other shoes cause me all kinds of annoying injuries), I have neuropathies from chemo, and I get neuromas. Jeez. With these shoes, I can really walk. Otherwise, not so much. I hate these shoes because they are so very ugly. Seriously! Hello New Balance and all other shoe companies, why do the wide shoes have to be so horrendous?! Is it a punishment of some sort for having wide feet? I am so envious of women wearing shoes with actual color and style.

Got these for my Mom who needs a 4E width in a small size. NB in these kinds of shoes seem to run a little small so I ordered the 6.5 and they seem to fit good so far. Not overly stylish but better than her orthopedic shoes. These are classified as diabetic shoes which also mattered to me.

These shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn and also the very ugliest! I wore them every day on my walking trip in Scotland two weeks ago. I walked up Arthur's Seat in them and down again. If you want comfort and no style, these are the shoes for you. I highly recommend them.

New Balance 900 series are great shoes for people with feet, leg, or back problems. This pair with the partial mesh upper is not as comfortable as the solid leather pair that I ordered last year. The toe box and set of shoe footbed is different. It is still better than the lower numbered shoes. Thanks Zappos for great service.

I was disappointed with the 928. I wore the 927 for the longest. The toe area was cut wider. I wear WW width. The 928 was a tighter fix across the toe area making it uncomfortable. Hope they go back to the 927 design. Zappos is a great site to deal with and customer service was great.

I am dropping my rating for these. I did a review the first week that these were available and have had them for just over a year now. I was willing to spend more for leather because my prior brand cheapened materials and the uppers were deteriorating after only 5-6 months. The uppers on these are still in excellent condition unfortunately the sole is now separating from the upper so before long they will get thrown out. I am disappointed to say the least because they are not worn that hard and this is a pretty high price for a pair of tennis shoes. I haven't decided whether I will reorder or not.

I recently received a pair of 928s. I have had three foot surgeries over the years, have osteoarthritis, bone spurs, bad knees and back, and am diabetic. These shoes are amazing! They are so comfortable. My knees and back no longer ache when I am wearing them. I could tell right away they were changing the way I walked. These are the most comfortable shoes I can ever remember wearing. I absolutely love them!

These shoes seem to run true to size at least for me. The heel is a little wide but I can live with that. They are comfortable with room. I am very flat footed and have trouble with my feet hurting.

New balance seems to be best for me for this type of shoe. I am able to wear some Dansko but don't think I could wear them all day

I have neuropathy, tendonitis and arthritis in my feet so I need support and these shoes provide that. I wish they wouldn't make my feet look so big, but I guess that's the price of comfort!

I bought this sneaker while I was away and had it mailed to where I was. The person who helped me on the phone was great. I had bought 927 before which was very comfortable and no problems but they were worn out so I needed a new pair of sneakers and they do not make 927 anymore. I looked everywhere in person and on line. I took a size 10.5 and the width was 2eand when I found that 928 took 927 place but the size was not the same, it was listed as a d.The girl assured me that it was a 2e. She was right but it is not as comfortable. It seems to be a little bigger in the heel. I wish they had not discontinued the 927. I had no problem at all with Zappos. The girl made me VIP and I got the sneakers in two days.I would definitely buy from you again. I have planter fascia and it was really acting up. I hope to find sandals from you in a couple of months. I would like to get ones that my ortodics would fit into. Thanks again and i will and have told everyone I know about your great service and shipping.

Stylish in the beige suede! I'm happy to find a NB walking shoe with a non-marking sole and this particular last. (To find out specifics about lasts, see the NB website.) And I'm happy to say that in beige, at least, they don't look like old lady shoes.
Minuses? The seam on this style hits the top of my bunion, a bad one that I have on my right foot. I used a gel toe spreader (that I should always use anyway) and socks and it is much better, although for heavy walking I think I will have to have that part of the shoe stretched. That's my only negative.
I have problem feet (well the right one, anyway), and these are perfect for my left foot. They are well padded, have good support, and I do not understand the reviews that call them cheap or cheaply made. They really are very nice!

I am happy with Zappos service but I am a little disappointed in the shoe. I always got the WW927 but looks like it has been discontinued. Don't really like the toe on this one, otherwise is okay.

I totally agree with the person who wrote "Why why why do companies feel they need to improve upon an excellent product!" But I go back a little bit further. I loved the 926 model! 927 seemed too large and wide (and I have wide feet). I needed the depth for my orthotics and the 926 was all I wore for several years (in fact, maybe my first New balance was a 925!). I was never totally happy with the 927's...and have had to switch to 967, in fact! I love the 967's. They fit me and my orthotics beautifully, and I've already gotten an extra pair in case they "improve" this one. My only gripe is that they only have it in hiking boot decor. I'd like to have at least one other color, a beige or white, that would go better with dress clothes (or even a solid black)! I would then not have to resort to my sandals - which I can't wear for a long period of time due to my foot problems. But - we'll see!

I have ordered the New Balance WW928WS which fit fine. I thought I ordered same style until I wore them. I checked the tongue of the shoe and they were WW928WS2. My toes were being pushed into the front of the shoe they felt like they were a half to full size too small.

Please be aware these are labeled as WW928 but this new pair did not fit like my other 2 pairs of WW928. Regrettably, I will have to return them.

Good support. The stitching rubbed on my bunion and very uncomfortable. I had to return.

The sizing on this is crazy - a 9 in this is huge , the 8½ was perfect but too narrow on my slightly wider feet New balance has been a huge disappointment the last two years. I actually wrote to them asking for a recommendation with a wide toe box with narrow heel and no arch support , they said they had nothing for me! This is what they were known for in their motion control shoes not too long ago.

I finally got enough room across my toes! The tan suede not bad looking; the black leather was just too ugly. The arch support is disappointing and I experience a fair amount of pronation.

This shoe is not designed the same as the white version of the same shoe. The white shoe has a padded collar around the ankle, and the black one does not, so it pokes into your ankle when shoe is laced and tied. Makes it uncomfortable for walking, which the whole purpose of this shoe. What's up with that, New Balance?

Nice shoe, but runs narrow. If you need a 4E, get the men's. Length is pretty accurate but it's not going to work w/socks on my feet, so will have to send them back. They do provide nice support however.

They feel good as far as cushioning but the toe box is very tight and these seem to run very narrow. I normally wear a medium but I feel like I need a wide in these. I will return for a wide and see how they fit.

I don't like the style or feel of this shoe. It seems to have no support anywhere. Similar to wearing a slipper with shoestrings. I won't buy these again and I wouldn't recommend this style.

I do not really care for these shoes. They feel loose in the heel of the right foot, and rubs on the left little toe. I have worn New Balance before and have had very good luck. I hope they go back to old style of shoes. If not broke why fix it?

Love Zappos. I'm definitely a repeat customer. But I must say I'm so disappointed with New Balance this time. My 928's look more like orthopedic shoes and are way to big in the toe box. No problem with 926 or 927 but with the 928 I'm going to return and shop around for another style. Come on New Balance...you're slipping. Bring back the good quality shoe.
