I was very impressed by the craftsmanship that went into this shoe. It is my first purchase of this brand. I actually wear a size 12 but I'm so used to having to go one size up I got a 13. This brand is true to size. I could have gotten a 12.

Allen Edmonds is the best. I am a floor salesman and I am on my feet 12 hours a day, on concrete and tile floors. No carpet, no padding in sight. These are great dress shoes that are built like therapeutic shoes. I have Ferragamos as well, and the Edmonds are far and away more comfortable. I get about 3 years out of a pair, and then they are done. A local resole is not worth it, they fail within a year. I will send these back to the factory for a resole this time and see how it goes. Buy genuine Allen Edmonds waxed laces as well, they are the best.

Got another pair for my boyfriend in 11.5 but had to get these in 11 - he loves them - no need to break them in, great comfort, craftsmanship and material. A fan of the brand.

This is a beautiful shoe with simple, yet very elegant design. I bought these to wear for my wedding and they really completed the look. They are a great looking pair of shoes for a gray or light brown suit, but they were also very comfortable from the first wear, which is unusual for AE shoes, in my humble opinion. The decorative design and "burnt" finish on the front are a nice way to spice up a classic looking shoe. I bought an size 8, E-width shoe and both the size and width were true to form. I highly recommend these shoes!

Love them! Not nearly as plain as they seem in the pics because the leather takes on creases and shapes to your foot after several wears. I helped them stretch a bit at my pinkie toes by applying water to exterior and interior and then wearing them with athletic socks for a weekend at home. They now snap onto my foot like magic.

They run a little large. They seem to be wearing well, but are pretty stiff right out of the box. Gaining a little more character as they age. They laces are far too long, and the midfoot seems a little oversized. Overall, 3 stars.
