We're on our second pair of these. The first ones started falling apart within a couple of weeks of use. Zappos customer service being as it is (BEST IN THE WORLD!) they were replaced with a new pair. Now - after only a couple of months - same problems. Alastic strap becomes stretched out and falls apart, and seams on the shoe start to deteriorate. These are terrible shoes in our opinion!

My son loves these shoes, but unfortunately after only 2 months we are already replacing them. The stitching on the toes of both shoes has come loose and the velcro on one shoe has detached from the elastic strap. We love New Balance, but these shoes do not stand up to an active little boy.

The shoes look great - better than I expected. My 6 year old really loves them and wants to get more.

Do not purchase these! They rip very easily. Went through two pairs and both ripped after only wearing them for 2 weeks each! Beware!

Really cute shoes, but after a month of wear, they were shredding and the velcro was loose. Not a shoe to wear everyday for a boy.

This pair of shoes does not hold up! My son has had these only a month and they are looking like they are 2 years old. The velcro piece is almost broken off on both shoes. They do not have any other way to close! I am very disappointed!

We ordered the extra wide and after trying 5 other shoes these were the winners. My son loves these shoes.

These are great shoes for my 5 year old. He can put them on himself with no shoestrings to worry about. They are true to size. I always buy a half size up from his actual size. The color is bright and they helped me keep up with him at Disney World recently. He loves them and always seems to like the New Balance shoes the best.

My son wore these for about 2 weeks when the stitching pulled from the toe box. Not sure they are built for kid use. I have owned adult NB shoes in the past and they have held-up well.

Good shoe. My son loves orange and refuses to have lace up shoes. But with feet that won't stay in a slip on shoe unless it's a couple of sizes too small, it limits our options. He liked these a lot and I'd will order a couple pair in the next sizes up to have on hand.

Hooray! I am happy to say that these shoes have passed the 1 month+ test without any ripped toes or torn velcro. I was a little hesitant to purchase after reading some reviews, but these have been great. My 8 year old has always worn Stride Rite but he's too big...and still resisting laces. The XW width is great. He won a race and school and loves his new shoes.

My 6 year old loves these sneakers. They match his jacket and look really great. Easy to put on, no fussing with laces. Easy to take off. Great for our busy family.

These sneakers are great for my rough and tumble 5 year old. They are easy for him to take on/off without assistance and have held up well. They replaced a pair of Skechers I bought that feel apart within a couple weeks. Zappos customer service was incredibly helpful in facilitating this exchange.

Great shoe for my very active 7 y/o. He loves them and I am happy to have him in good quality shoes for his growing feet.

Best shoe I've bought for my 3 year old son as of yet. The velcro strap allows him to put on and take off his shoes independently...which is a big deal at our home. I was buying Skechers shoes prior to these and found them to be quite heavy for my little guy. These are lightweight and seem to be comfortable. I purchased my son's size and had to exchange them for a half size smaller. We're very pleased with our purchase. Going forward, we will likely stick with NB.

We just ordered our son a second pair. He loves them and so do we. He has outgrown his other one's, so we had to move up a half size. I have always bought him New Balances, along with my daughters and will continue to. Zappos is great too! They ship very fast and are great with returns, though I rarely have returns.

Both of my boys have very wide feet. This is our 3rd pair of similar shoes. This particular style of New Balance really is wide. They are also easy for kids to put on by themselves!

I have been buying these for my almost 8 year old grandson since he was about 4 years old. We love them. They look great. They wear great. And, they have always been easy for him to get on and off.

This shoe is perfect for our very active son that needs the velcro strap. He calls them his fast shoes! And I think they live up to the name!

I always order these sneakers just one size larger each time for my quick growing son who has a wide foot they are great. I had one pair in which the velcro ripes after a week but zappos sent a new pair right away
