I have been a Nike or New Balance man most of my adult life. I thought I would venture into Adidas. Upon receiving the shoe I really liked the way it looked, and the construction looked very solid. I tried on the shoe with my Super Feet inserts- no go. I tried on the shoes without the inserts-no go. the L shoe felt ok, but the R shoe really started hurting my foot just walking around the apartment. It felt as though my heel was coming out with each step. Might be great for someone else, but just not for me.

Outstanding shoe. Hiked six miles the first day in these over rugged terrain. No issues for my feet or the shoes. Lightweight and perfect sizing. Highly recommend.

I used these shoes to travel around Europe. They were very comfortable on all the different terrains (dirt, cobblestones, paved roads, and jagged rocks). The gortex upper kept my feet dry in the rain, and still allowed them to breathe in the heat. The lacing system is easy to tighten and lock. I never had to readjust the laces. An excellent shoe to wear everywhere.

These worked out well. Bought them for a Europe trip and wore them for 17 days. Didn't break them in for more than a week before the trip. They stayed tight pretty much all day and were comfortable even if not tightened. Didn't have a chance to test the waterproof much, but we encountered a little rain and I did not get wet feet. I ordered the size 8 initially which normally fits me fine and I decided to get the 8 1/2 instead since the 8's were just a little tight especially if thicker socks were worn.

These shoes are light, very comfortable and perfect for trail running or hiking. Breathable, strong material give your feet enough comfort for long run or all day hike. One of my favorite ones in last 15 years of active life!

I purchased these shoes to replace a pair of Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra GTX. The Adidas Terrex are comfortable, though slightly more rigid than the Salomons. If the soles last longer than the soft rubber of the Salomons, I'll be officially converted.

These shoes rock. Lightweight. Super comfortable. Great support. I was worried about how tough the shoe was going to be but it is durable. Great sole. Overall I am super happy with my purchase.

I bought these shoes to have something durable to play disc golf in. The look is pretty good and they fit similar to other Adidas shoes that I have bought in the past. They seem fairly durable and the style looks pretty good. However, after walking up and down hilly terrain and for hours at a time, my feet seem to hurt. These are not super cushiony. I have pain in the ball of my feet and today it was rubbing my heel a little. I never had pain in my feet from shoes before. I love Adidas products and have owned dozens of pairs. This is the first bad experience that I have had with them. I do not think they are bad for day to day activity or just basic walking, but I thought they would be perfect for hiking through the woods during my disc golfing. I think the material and toughness of the shoes is fine, just not the comfort and performance. I will just use these as a normal pair of shoes now, not for sports. They could come in handy during winter time when it is wet and slippery as they are Goretex and have decent traction on the bottom. maybe I should by some cushiony inserts and give them another try on the course. I guess I will just switch to some running shoes as they are generally more comfortable.

First off I bought these from Adidas' employee store and not from Zappos so I am not going to be a verified purchase. I discovered them by just trying on shoes and these caught my eye because I ride a motorcycle and waterproof shoes was what I needed. I also am very picky about arch support and need good stability because I had Plantar Fasciitis for months before and had to start wearing special inserts for all my other shoes, but not these, they provide great foot support without which really says something. I also am an extremely impatient person so when I walk places I am always fast walking like literally the speed someone rides a bike leisurely and so I basically rip shoes to shreds. These are holding up extremely impressively and I actually go dancing in them and I am jumping and doing like slides and glides constantly so they are very well made sturdy frame. I do not know how but they keep cool in the heat and warm in even extreme cold (I have driven my motorcycle in below freezing weather like 28° on the freeway (it was dry) going 80 mph in athletic super thin below ankle socks and I did not feel even a single degree temperature drop, I am still blown away!) I cannot recommend these enough, the only downside is now I cannot look for any other brands. I really do not bother writing reviews ever but I felt like these deserved it. They are the best shoes that I have ever owned and better than Nike Air Pegasus which are my second favorites but I still need inserts in those and they have been torn to shreds from wear and tear.

Really well built shoe quality and construction. Toe gaurd is tough and can take abuse. When laced up tightly it has a nice firm wrap around foot yet doenst cut circulation. The tread and sole are continental 1 piece rubber, same as car tires. A little to ridgid but built for abusive terrain. You can sipe the treads and get ultra grip. Although small stones get caught in sipes. Heal area cuts into ankle when not laced up tightly or when sole pad or socks used. I would recommend hightop model for larger foot and support.

Well guys, this is the finest trail shoe probably in the world. The fit is absolutely awesome, with firmness yet flexibility. Stepping on rocks or roots, you can feel the shoe protect your soles like a boot would. Grippy outersoles on any surface including wet mossy rock or slippery boulders. Ever drive on Continental tires in the winter? Then you know...completely waterproof yet breathing through Gore-Tex. I am an 11 but I like getting 11 1/2 for the extra toe space and these Adidas did not disappoint. Rating? Off the chart.

I climb on pitched roofs for a living and need a shoe that will provide traction in any direction at any time. I use to wear shoes with the vibram soles and found these much better. They fit great, stay laced up, and provide phenomenal support on and off the roof. I strongly recommend these shoes.

Firm sole and arch support. Very comfortable to walk around in and for trail/hiking. Front rubber area around toe scuffs somewhat easily though.

These are some excellent shoes! They have a moderately stiff soul and excellent cushioning. As a person coming off of a broken foot, I would highly recommend them!

These shoes are amazing! I purchased these for a business trip I had to take to Colorado during the winter. I wanted a shoe that I could wear to the office but at the same time hit the trails after a work day. I was looking for something waterproof, breathable, a good rigid hiker, but yet in a sneaker type package. I have put these things through 12 hour days at the office as well as 8 hour days on the trails. I have been blown away by their performance in both scenarios. These do run a little narrow and there is some break in time but in about a week or so they were molding nicely to my feet.. My feet stayed very dry in the Colorado snow conditions thanks to the Gore-Tex lining. These shoes are amazingly comfortable and durable. I have put many trail miles on these shoes and they are holding up very well. Considering the conditions I throw at these shoes daily I have been very impressed by their performance. Although Adidas is new to the outdoor trail type market they are making huge waves in design and function. I am very satisfied with these shoes.

These shoes are fantastic. The minute I slipped my feet in the shoes seemed to form right around them. Had them for a week and kicked around a little, then spent a week hiking in the Rockies in and around Crested Butte, including a fairly rocky summit hike. These shoes stuck to the rocks like glue and gave me tons of support while being super comfortable. Never any hot spots or blisters. Got a little sloppy one day and feet stayed dry. Love these shoes.

Bought these shoes for a 3 week camping/hiking/fishing trip and I was delighted. These shoes are narrow yet still comfortable. I am a 9.5 and these fit my foot snugly but not to the point of constriction. The Gore-Tex pulled its weight and all around a great shoe. Feet never got tired.

I really enjoy putting this shoe on. Feels great and very secure. I have worn Salomon cross country shoes but this one is better. Excellent support out of the box.

This is the best outdoor shoe I have ever owned. Went day hiking with the family last summer in Glacier National Park, snow was melting so had to walk over snowfields and through water/mud. The grip was excellent, feet stayed dry, and they were all day comfortable. The size/width seems true for my feet - I mostly wear Nikes, if that gives a baseline. The style is outstanding in my opinion.

Was looking to get Salomon's XA Pro 3D Ultra's in wide width and was apprehensive about getting these in medium width; however, they felt excellent. The look is much better then I thought and nice after walking in the snow and slush today.

These are great shoes. I normally wear solomon hiking shoes but decided to try these. They have excellent support and the soles grip well. They run a little big though. Had to size down to a 10. Also, they are a little rarrow which is good for my foot.

In comparing this to the Salomon XA Pro 3D Ultra 2 GTX (which I've bought a couple times and worn for many years) I really like the quality and design of these. They are comfortable too. They do seem to run small: I wear a 10.5 in Salomon and Nike for example but a 10.5 in this shoe was a little too small. I might have had to up it 1/2 or 1 full size to get comfortable. Also, these are very definitely an outdoor only shoe; the soles are very sticky (good for outside) but squeak a lot on interior floors.
