Bought these last summer and was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they are. Just took them out again for warm weather and first wear gave me no discomfort at all; wore them all day and didn't irritate my feet at all! Looking at getting a second pair because I know I will have them on my feet whenever possible this summer! I have spine, hip and foot issues and walking is usually uncomfortable to say the least-but these shoes have excellent support and comfort for me.

Oh, I am sad as can be. My Alegria Pesca's just arrived, in butternut, and they are totally adorable. Soft as butter. The arch feels sublime. My wide forefoot is comfy and totally uncramped. But my heel, on the narrow side, is slipping. I tried heel pads in the back; didn't help. Tried socks, even though I'd much rather wear these without. They stuffed up the front but didn't help with the heel. Well, I'll try ordering half a size down, but I don't have great hopes that that will be the perfect fit either. Boo hoo. I'm envious of those of you who can keep yours.

I really wish these had worked for me. I was recently diagnosed with plantar faciitis and have been trying to find shoes that provide good arch support for my high arches. Zappos has been great as I try to build a new shoe wardrobe with comfortable shoes without having to wear out my feet walking all over the mall. These sandals are cute and would have been very comfortable, with perfect arch support, except that the fit was off for my feet. I usually wear a 7 1/2. I originally ordered a 38 and they were huge - much too wide - so I tried a 37. The width was fine, and the length was OK for my big toe, but my middle toes are longer than my big toe and hit the end of the shoe. The squared toe just didn't work for my feet. I have also ordered the Verona and hope that it has the same good arch support but a better fit for me.

Great shoes. I prefer fisherman style sandals for the summer and these are winners and I will be purchasing a couple more pair.

These shoes are so comfortable. I have problems with my feet and when I can find a shoe that is comfortable it is a blessing. LOVE THESE SHOES and Zappos is fantastic to shop for shoes. I receive my shoes in record time, its unbelievable. Also no problem when you have to return an item.

I had high hopes, and the insoles were soft and comfy, but my heels regular-width heels slipped right out of these. Too bad, because the toebox is nice and roomy for my wider forefoot. Also, the color of the Cognac is warm honey, not medium brown--it's lighter than it looks in the picture. Great shoe, but not the color I want nor the fit I need.

I have the most difficult foot in the history of the world to fit...long toes and narrow heel! I also have plantar fasciitis. The Alegria Pesca is absolutely wonderful. Although the shoe does run a bit wide, mostly in the toebox, due to the fact that it has the velcro closure, it keeps my foot securely in the shoe. Not the greatest style, but they are so comfortable.

It's a bit clunky looking but in a nice way. Looks great with jeans and cords and my denim skirt. I got the black and the leather and finish are really nice. I wear size 8 and need a slightly narrower shoe. I ordered the 38 and it fits fine for length. It is a wee bit too wide but I expected that. It's really comfortable. Lots of room for your toes.

Very comfortable shoes. Great for summer and I will still be able to wear them with socks in the fall. The smoky blue is lovely and goes with a lot of things in my closet.

I need to add my voice about the sizing... I love Alegria shoes. Love them. According to Alegria I am a Euro 40 in these shoes (my Alegria Palomas are a 39). I believed Alegria and ordered accordingly. They arrived today and are gorgeous but a FULL size too big, even when you consider that these should be comfortably loose (like Dansko shoes). Back they go to exchange for a pair of 39. My usual shoe size is 9 to 9 1/2 and my feet are a perfectly medium width. If you don't have wide feet, I would err on the side of Zappos with sizing on these shoes. That being said, they are cute and comfy and can't wait for a better fitting pair to arrive! :)

This is my first Allegria (Pesca) shoes that I purchased and I'm very happy. It was suggested by my son's girlfriend that they are comfortable and no breaking in needed. They are true to size and so roomy in the toes. I got complimented the first time I used them. Planning to buy more later.

I love these shoes! They were comfortable right out of the box, which is unheard of for me. I have a wide, short foot that is difficult to fit. The insole is very comfortable for someone with a tendency toward plantar fasciitis. I have received compliments on them every time I wear them.

Pinches in small toe area; not enough height on outside. Love the styles of Alegria and wish I could wear them.

Love this shoe/sandal. Comfortable, love all the colors especially the stone and dusky blue. I wear it all day long and am in no rush to kick them off at the end of the day.

This brand is amazing! On a whim I bought the glam camo Classic and when I discovered how comfortable they were (and I think, stylish) I never looked back. I now own 6 pairs of Alegria shoes. The Pesca is the perfect summer shoe. It looks great with or without socks. I've received many complements on these shoes and will buy more.

Great shoe. Well worth the price. Extremely comfortable and a nice alternative to wearing sneakers with casual clothing.

Fits about right. As with most leather shoes, I needed to break these in. The leather is pretty hard and there were lots of rubbing spots on my feet.

These are perfect for the summer weather. I keep them at work since we cannot wear open toe shoes and with these I feel as I am wearing a sandal. I normally need my orthotics with my other shoes, but not with these, they give me the arch support I need. I think I will keep wearing them during the rest of the year with socks. I plan to buy the tan color later.

I love this shoe! It was very comfortable right out of the box. Others have complained about the size, but I found my size 9 foot fit just fine in a 39. I wanted a shoe I could walk in all day, and I haven't been disappointed.

Lovely shoe, but a bit too snug. I hope they will stretch or I can have them stretched just a bit. Well-made. Nice shade of brown.

I have many Alegria sandals and I love them. They are all size 38, so I bought a 38 in this style. They were a bit too short. My big toe was nearly at the end, but I might have been able to wear them if the toe box was not so shallow. The tops of my toe hit the inside of the shoe. This is unusual for Alegria. Otherwise, they are a beautiful shoe made of soft leather. Too bad. They are going back.

I have been hunting for fisherman sandals in my size for quite a while, and finally decided to try these. I normally wear anywhere between size 11 wide to 12 medium width, depending on brand as well as shoe style. I ordered size 11.5-12 (42 in European), and they fit just fine. While these shoes would look kind of cute in a smaller size (all women's shoes look better in a smaller size), in size 11.5-12 they make my feet look massive. (It's the style: where the leather is stitched to the sole, it creates a rim that outlines the shoe). Nice leather, if a bit stiff. But they seem well-put-together, so I'm hoping they'll last a few summers.

The inside of the leather was very rough against the skin on my foot. I'm returning.
