These are pretty great pants. They dry super fast, and are very comfortable. They're a bit more green than the picture indicates, they are a little noisy, and they ran a little small in the waist in my opinion.

I ordered these pants for Search & Rescue and so far, after two missions, have been extremely satisfied. They are very comfortable, durable and well made and I like them so much I've taken to wearing them for everyday. I also got a pair in Khaki to wear for work. Kuhl pants seem to run very true to size for me so I got these one waist size larger so I could wear long johns underneath comfortably.

I wore these for 8 days backpacking for 75 miles in Glacier. Super comfortable. Love how easily they convert to shorts which aren't too short. Washed easily in the lakes and dried quickly. Buy these today!

I bought these pants to travel in and not have to worry about bulk. They are comfortable and the convertible feature keeps me from having to pack long pants and shorts. I especially like the material and the styling that allows wearing them in places where you want more than just casual. For travel without taking up much space, these are perfect.

I was looking for convertible pants for hiking. I tried a number on at the local store, these ones looked and fit the best (didn't feel/look like where diapers). They didn't have my size so I got them here. The material is awesome water/sweat quickly evaporates. The only thing negative I can think of is that they're expensive. Quality over quanity. I love these pants so much I like to wear them even when I'm not hiking.

Very happy with these convertibles even though they are a bit expensive. Bought both khaki and carbon and took them on a 3 week trip to Peru. After around 100 miles on foot and multiple activities including rafting, horseback riding and paragliding, I couldn't be happier. They are the least convertible looking convertible pant out there. The fabric at 75% nylon and 25% cotton feels better against the skin than 100% nylon and dries just as fast. Wash them at the end of the day and they're dry by morning. Sizing is also great. Most convertibles come in S,M,L and are usually longer and baggier than I would like. At 5'8" 170 pounds, the 34x30 worked really well for me. Not too baggy and not too long. First found these at REI, but sizes were limited and only one color. Found them on Zappos. Both colors and all sizes available. Plus no sales tax and free shipping! Had them a couple days later. Awesome multi purpose garment that really works well for a minimalist traveller like myself. Both pairs still look brand new and show no signs of wear. Give these a try and you'll probably like them. If not, just return to Zappos. Either way you can't go wrong.

Very nice pants! Lots of room for guys like me with thicker thighs. Two awesome side zip pockets above the knee and quality material. I wish KUHL would have made the convertible shorts at least with a 12” or 11” inseam (NOTE TO KUHL). However the pair I received had a defect and I notified Zappos. Zappos rectified my situation and I can confidently say that anyone should be absolutely comfortable shopping with Zappos! They are here to show the rest of the industry how customer service should be. Thank you Zappos for your awesome team members and your stand out service. Always a great experience.

These appear to be well made pants and are good looking. I purchased them for a hiking trip in Washington/Montana/Wyoming this fall. I originally ordered 36waist/32inseam as that's what I normally wear. After trying them on I felt they would be to tight in the hips/thighs for hiking so I ordered 38/32 and they're much more comfortable (if they weren't for hiking I would have been satisfied with the original fit). Although they're too large at the waist I can easily use a belt to hold them up and they feel roomy enough to be comfortable while hiking. A previous reviewer was right about the thigh pockets. Without the typical cargo pant pockets they're not practical for anything but a map or other flat, flexible objects. I've worn them as shorts around town and find the two open side pockets practical for phone or sunglasses, but without zippers I might not feel secure using them if I were wearing the shorts during highly active outings. For that reason I give them a 4 overall. Otherwise I'm happy with them.

I like Kuhl wear and have some items that are several years old that still stand up to regular outings. These pants should stand the test of time as well. It's the sizing that you need to watch out for. I normally wear 33 jeans in loose cut and have a pair of 34s I use for winter when extra layers are needed. These 34x36 pants are tight at the waist and down to about the upper leg. They only barely loosened up after a 5 mile hike. When ordering keep this in mind as the pants are designed for someone that does not have larger quads and glutes from riding a bike and doing a lot of hiking.

Loved the weight, construction, looks, but had to return only because the front pocket actually extents over the front of you thigh not down, so your cell phone, change, keys are all on top of your thigh when you walk. If all you do is backpack with nothing in your pockets, they are great.

Terrible. First of all, it looks like someone at Zappos took the shorts section and add a different size leg extensions on both sides. When fully zipped there is about a 3/4 inch gap because the top and bottom zippers are different sizes. So either Zappos or Kuhl really messed up. The bottoms are also a slightly different shade, so I think someone as Zappos did the honors.
