The Faux Wood footbed is not durable. If you nick the footbed it tears. Threw mine out. Would buy if footbed was changed to leather. Footbed also makes your feet hot.

I have several pairs of Orthaheel sandals now and I love them! I like that they are making more styles, too. The Layla has the necessary sole support for those of us who suffer from plantar fasciitis but the new style is very cute and comfortable. The adjustable straps make for a custom fit, too. I would have liked for the description to say if the metal "loop" was gold or silver (it is gold in the brown and I would have preferred silver) but other than that, this is a great and fashionable sandal. Thanks Orthaheel -- and Zappos for carrying more styles of Orthaheel!

Last year I ordered the Orthaheel flip flops when I started having problems with heel pain (I wear flip flops as house slippers). I longed to have pretty sandals with all that comfort and stability - and the company read my mind! I normally wear an 8 wide, but because every strap has velcro closure, I have the perfect fit with these shoes. The only minus is that because my foot is so wide, the decorative buckle is not in the center of my foot. Minor drawback I'm more than willing to live with considering these shoes are so pretty and so comfortable. The older I get, the more I need practical, comfortable, orthotic shoes. But I'm still crave stylish footware. These shoes fit the bill.

These are pretty shoes that do not require me to use my RX orthotic insert! I have high arches and need support to lessen foot pain. The arch is comfortable. The adjustable straps hold my feet in place so the arch support is positioned correctly. I have the Layla in the chrome metallic with silver ring between the straps. It is a great color with blue jeans. The Velcro adjustable straps look a little clunky and hang a bit over the edge of the shoes. Because the Velcro is not there to hold the straps together the end sticks up a bit. That is acceptable for cute comfortable shoes at a decent price.

I have ordered several pairs of Orthaheels all were just what I wanted until this pair. They are very "clunky" looking on my feet and make my size 6 feet look about a size or two bigger. The velcro straps at the rear of the sandal were way too long and stuck out. They did not lay flat as in the picture. These are the only Orthaheels that looked drastically different than the picture. The only reason that I'm keeping them is they have the usual orthotic feel, which makes for better walking. However, I did take my pair to a shoe repair shop and had the back strap aligned and glued together evenly. I cannot recommend these shoes.

Comfortable, stylish and supportive where I need it. I wish they made more styles and offered them in more colors!

While I don't own a pair of these slides I am looking forward to. Plantar Facitis brought me to purchasing several pair upon a doctor's recommendation. They are absolutely wonderful. I also purchased, while pricey, the cross over slippers in an animal design. Again super comfortable. Now I have an infected foot which is slowly healing however I need a pair of shoes that will adjust for me right now to accommodate this swollen foot. I am now having to wear compression hose for a time until the swelling goes down and these shoes appear to accommodate this need and still be stylish. I cannot grade the show at this time but will after I purchase them.

I have sciatica and thought I'd try these shoes to see if they'd help. Zappos has such great customer service, I knew there was no risk if they didn't work out for me. Although not cured, I do feel like I have less trouble with lower back pain and leg issues when I wear these slides. This shoe only comes in medium width, but with the adjustable straps I'm able to accommodate my wider foot and get a comfortable custom fit. The orthotic sole does take a little getting used to at first, but I now prefer these slides to my other sandals.

These are very comfortable from the first time I wore them. It is best to wear them for short periods of time at first, as Orthoheel recommends. Wearing them too long the first time you wear them may leave you with sore legs!

Really like the sandal but the metal trim is very uncomfortable. Will try a different style.

This is my second pair of Orthaheel sandals. I love the look and comfort of them. Both pair are holding up well and look great!

Wish they made this in a narrow width. I tried this shoe anyway, thinking the Velcro would make it fit and it did, but it looked terrible, as well as looking like the metal piece in the middle would tear off. Too bad, because it was a comfortable shoe.

These are cute, but the straps extended a little and stuck out by the time I adjusted them to fit my slender feet. I could probably secure them down but since I ordered two other pairs of sandals I will probably return them. I wear size 11-12 but 10 fit me.

These are great looking shoes that go with everything. My only issue is with plastic intersoles for summer. I wish that Orthaheel made sandals with fabric or leather intersoles. Orthaheels have cured my aching knees, hips and back. I rarely wear any other brand. These are well worth the money. They do run large so I usually order down a size.

I bought this for my mother who has terrible heel pain and her fashionable shoes are just not working for her. She consented to wearing these because she must, and has gotten many compliments on them! She has a narrow foot and the adjustable strap saved the day.

I have "problem feet" and have difficulty wearing many shoes/sandals but these are the second style of Orthaheel sandals that I have purchased and I find them very comfortable, the adjustable straps are a big plus and they are very stylish. I love the silver color, they're the new neutral, so fun.

This is the most comfortable shoe with fantastic arch support. I wish they made a stylish closed shoe that fits like this one. The only closed shoe that has the same arch support is their walking shoe.

I usually wear orthodics but with this shoe I find it is not necessary with the great arch support. The only draw back is I would prefer leather in the straps.

Worth every penny! I have a hard time finding the right shoes with my history of plantar fascitis. This shoe was perfect, adjusted to it immediately while walking all over Las Vegas. I have continued to purchase other shoes by Orthaheel for myself and my mother. You will not be disappointed I promise!

I am very pleased with this purchase! My heel pain is greatly alleviated while looking quite stylish. I would definitely purchase more shoes of this brand, and the Zappos service is hard to beat.

This is my third pair of Orthaheel sandals and I love them -- no more knee pain! I have wide feet and the adjustable straps make for a very comfortable fit. I would prefer a more cushioned foot bed, but I guess you can't have everything. Note to first time buyers: Orthaheel sandals/shoes take some getting used to -- several weeks of getting used to -- but the journey is so worth it!

Beautiful sandal! The gold is light, like a champagne. Fully adjustable. The only thing that bothered me was the high arch - it seemed to fall in the "wrong place" on my foot and, therefore, wasn't comfortable.

I finally found a sandal that I don't have to add arch supports to! I have plantar fasciitis and hate summer. I have to alter all my shoes and most of the time the added arch supports aren't the same color as the shoes, so look funny. I'm so excited about being fashionable and feeling comfort all day. I haven't worn these but inside for a short time but I'm sure they will be awesome this summer! I have a narrow foot so the velcro is nice, for a snug fit. They can be either casual or dressy, due to the bit of silver decoration.

All of Orthaheels are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. Keep coming with more styles & closed in shoes.
