The Mirage feels great and looks fantastic but I haven't yet made it my primary sneaker. Mostly because I just got them 2 weeks ago and have only used them twice! But for now I am continuing to do most of my run training in my old Hurricanes (as I am training for a half marathon in May) but I am using the Mirages for other gym classes and expect to eventually do more of my running in them as I transition over to the lower profile/heel height.

These are my third pair of Saucony's, and 2nd Mirage. The most comfortable running shoe I've ever owned. I tried another style in Saucony's, but went back to Mirage for comfort. Love, love, love these!

Loving these shoes. Super comfortable and a good compromise to barefoot shoes. I wanted some stability and cushion, but I also wanted to encourage a mid sole strike. The low heel is perfect! The shoe is perfect! I get all excited to lace them up and get out there!

Comfortable running shoe, snug fit. I had to go up one size (as I always have too when I buy Sucony shoes) I also love the color!

I love the look of the blue & pink Mirage, and was excited to try a lower profile running shoe. Your calves will be sore at first if you're switching from traditional running shoes, so make sure you stretch! One of the holes that the laces thread through broke as I was tying them up for my 3rd run in them, but Zappos was nice enough to replace them for me. Saucony needs to reinforce their lace holes for sure.

Love these shoes! So comfortable and light. I have heel pain from standing all day. With these shoes, I don't feel the heel pain nearly as much. Great shoe!

Lightest Sauconys ever. So light and comfortable, you almost cannot feel them on your feet! Ideal for walking for me. Sauconys are the only athletic shoe I wear.

I walked the Portland marathon on Sunday, and wore these sneakers even though I just purchased them 2 days before. They were that comfortable. I did all my training in Skechers Go Runs since I wanted a lightweight, low profile shoe with arch support. As the race got closer, I was worried that it was maybe too thin soled for such a distance. The Mirage 2 worked out great! Still light and flexible but with more substance to the sole. I did order 1/2 size bigger. Very satisfied, and got lots of compliments on the bright blue/pink color!

Comfy. Runs small, I'm normally a size 8, and should've ordered an 8 1/2. But I didn't, and realized too late it fits snug in the front. Have to wear thin socks otherwise it hurts my toes.

I love these shoes! They are super comfortable and I had no trouble going from a traditional running shoe to these with the lower heel. I have PR'd twice since I started wearing them 2 months ago. I have also got lots of compliments on how great they look.

I'm disappointed in the Mirage 2 due to the difference between the original Mirage and the 2. I gave it all stars because I know this is a great shoe if you can get it to fit you! I wore the original Mirage (size 8) and loved it so much I wore it out training for a marathon. I ordered the Mirage 2 to replace the original Mirage and I tried both the 8 & 8.5 and couldn't get the 2 to fit. So bummed! There's something about the toe box that changed. I can't quite figure it out. Also the different colors fit differently. Really odd. Aside from the size difference, I used the Mirage to transition from a heel strike to a midfoot strike due to knee trouble. I no longer have knee trouble and now have a midfoot strike and a pretty great lightweight running shoe.

First pair of Saucony shoes. For years I had regularly worn Nike Shox, but my last pair of Shox seemed extra-cheaply made, plus I wanted more of a runner's shoe. I must say that the first day I wore these for a walk/run I "did something", or rather the change in shoes did something to my calf muscle (right more than the left?), and I was basically incapacitated for 1 1/2 months (could not run, slowly started walking again). Short story: the change in heel-toe height for me was near-catastrophic. Happy ending: I've rested, healed, slowly accommodated my calves, and now I love them for walk/running (still slowly incorporating running into my 4mi. power walk). The are very comfortable for my 7 1/2-sized, wide at toe/slim at heel feet. I'm glad I switched to a lower heel, and feel these shoes have good shock support, maybe a little stiff. I wish they had a pair that was mostly black.

I have moderately wide feet and my arch collapses when I run so I have tendencies to get blisters on my arch from most sneakers, but these provide great support without the blisters! It was like these were made for my feet. The midsole strike definitely takes some getting used to as another reviewer mentioned, but now it's like running with clouds on my feet and no worries about blisters after Mile 2. I'm planning on stocking up and getting another couple of pairs in case they decide to phase out or redesign as most brands do!

I bought these shoes for race-walking. I had to re-order twice to get the correct fit. They run small and I had to get a size larger to fit my orthotics. I love Saucony but will probably try another brand when the time comes. The service from Zappos was (as usual) wonderful!

Still on the fence with these - may be returning. Love the look of the shoe but the 'tongue' is very short. Also, the heel area seems lower which feels strange to me.

Love the look, but have had lots of leg pain since switching to this shoe. Have experienced numbness in the feet, the laces slip open, and have had major shin splints. Have not had this issue, to this degree with other shoes. Liked my Kinvara models better.

The green one fits great. But this one for some reason is too narrow in the toe box and the ankle ridge rubs are too high!

I have worn four pairs of the Saucony Mirages and absolutely love them. So I thought the Mirage 2 would be even better. On the contrary, I had to return the shoes and I am trying to find the original Mirages to buy. The Mirage 2 felt too tight on my foot. I tried them for four weeks and every time I walked or ran, the feet hurt and ached afterward. My toes felt numb and tingly after my four mile walks. I am a Mirage fan, but not of the new updated Mirage 2. Buyer beware! Zappos has the best service ever and I am a big fan of this site. They agreed to take the shoes back, no questions asked! Thanks so much, Zappos!

Have had this shoe for about 2 weeks and it makes my foot want to roll out to the side of the foot. It has so much support for the arches that its almost too much because it makes me want to walk on the edges of my foot. So weird. I didn't return the shoes since I already wore it too much to return. I liked the white/silver/green color. Really nice! Just wish the shoe was better. The Saucony I love is the Saucony Progrid Kinvara...great shoe!

I'm a lightweight runner who runs on varied terrain. This is definitely the Cadillac of shoes and meant for smooth pavement with its very springy, tall sole. If you are used to minimum soles or do any trail running this is not the shoe for you. But if you're a Saucony fan, or a road runner, you'll love the standard wide toe bed, excellent arch support and smooth ride.

I mostly only do reviews when I have positive to things (rare I know), but this is an exception. I am training for the marathon and got these at the beginning of my training. These shoes have basically destroyed my lower back (I'm 26). I have a normal foot stride, but running with these gave me more back pain then I've ever felt (that is to say I've never had back pain ever). After about 150 miles I caved and bought the Nike pegasus again and expect to have no problems. I would stay away from these if you are a serious runner.

I've been wearing Saucony's for years because they have always fit beautifully. However, I had to return the "Progrid Mirage 2" because they were too tight. I have a high arch and wide instep, and usually Saucony's fit perfectly. I loved the style and the color, but sadly had to send them back!
